Dr. Tuel has spent the last 28 years building an independently owned eye care practice that outshines the rest. His mission is to provide outstanding quality of care, service, and state-of-the-art technology to meet the demands of today’s patient. In an age where time spent with a doctor is rapidly diminishing, he feels it is vital to spend time with you, discussing health issues, vision and product trends, and addressing your needs. Dr. Tuel is a native of Joliet. He attended Joliet Central High School and Joliet Jr. College. After receiving an A.S. from JJC, he went to the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, where he graduated with a Bachelors degree in Biology. He received his Doctor of Optometry Degree from the Indiana University School of Optometry in Bloomington, Indiana in 1989. Dr. Tuel is married with two sons and loves all things sports! His favorites, The Fighting Illini, Bears, and the Chicago Cubs!

Hobbies/Interests: Traveling, cooking, photography, spending time with my family and friends: husband, Johnny, adult children, Luke (Logistics Army Officer and now corporate logistics manager), and Lindsey (“Dr P.”-she is a dentist in Richmond, VA), walking my dog, Marley, exploring the great outdoors, especially on a hike, the beach or a cruise, paddle board/kayak and boating on Lake Norman, and taking care of my parents and patients.

Emily Hall, OD

About Emily Hall, OD

Dr. Hall is a residency trained optometric physician, born and raised in Clearwater, Florida. She earned her Bachelors degree in Biology from the University of Florida. Dr. Hall then obtained a doctorate in optometry at Nova Southeastern University, graduating with highest honors. She pursued further education and completed a residency at the Bay Pines VA Medical Center. Dr. Hall is committed to her patients’ ocular health and vision. She provides thorough visual and medical eye examinations. She enjoys fitting specialty contact lenses, including scleral lenses and corneal refractive therapy. Dr. Hall works closely with local ophthalmologists to ensure her patients’ are continued to be cared for outside of the scope of optometry. Dr. Hall enjoys giving back to the community and has devoted her time to several vision screenings at homeless medical camps in St. Petersburg and volunteers her time at the Clearwater Free Clinic. Dr. Hall resides in Tampa with her husband and their dog, Finn. She enjoys running, weightlifting, hiking and watching college football. Go Gators!

Dr. Kozlov grew up in Ukraine but moved to the Pacific Northwest when just 8 years old. He completed his undergraduate and doctorate studies at Pacific University of Oregon, specializing in ocular disease, post surgical care, and specialty contact lenses. Since moving to New England five years ago, he and his wife have been enjoying the local culture, the beautiful nature, and the four seasons, while finding a community they can connect with and help serve. In their spare time, they love to explore all that New England has to offer, hike, camp, and play pickleball.
