Dr. Lam is a local optometrist raised in McDonough, GA. He provides comprehensive eye exams for adults and children, diabetic eye exams, contact lens fittings, and ocular disease management to help patients live their best lives. Outside of helping the community, he enjoys playing tennis, hanging out with friends and family, and traveling.

Dr. Stefanie Fernandez was born and raised in Westerly, RI before moving to North Carolina where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Elon University. After living in Durham, NC and working as a DNA lab technologist, Dr. Fernandez decided she wanted to help people in a more personal way. She then moved to South Florida to pursue her Doctorate in Optometry from Nova Southeastern University and graduated as a member of Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society. In her spare time, Dr. Fernandez enjoys exploring new places with her husband and spoiling their pet tortoise, Reggie.

I love helping people, and enjoy knowing that I can make a difference for my patients while doing what I love. In my spare time, I enjoy being with family, playing guitar, and paddle boarding with my dog and husband.

How are you impacting your local community or helping your patients live their best lives? I have lived in the area for almost twenty years. I’ve enjoyed being a part of the community, from being a VBS volunteer at church to just running into patients at the grocery store. I can help patients live their best lives by being a good listener and taking care of all their visual and eye health needs. Hobbies/Interests: We love the mountains and being able to go hiking and kayaking. We enjoy watching my daughter run cross country and track.

Dr. Nguyen is a local New Orleanian who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Xavier University of Louisiana. She then attended Nova College of Optometry in South Florida where she received her Bachelor of Vision Science and doctorate degree. Dr. Nguyen believes that vision is essential for special moments that we cherish, as well as activities that we go about daily. She thrives to protect her patients’ vision so they can continue to experience their lives to the fullest. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and trying different types of cuisines.....

I am helping my patients live their best lives by providing comprehensive eye exams and educating them about their eye health. I like to ensure that I find the best prescription that suits their lifestyle and needs while monitoring for common eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetic eye disease. Hobbies/Interests: Playing volleyball, playing piano/guitar, video games, cooking, exploring new cuisines and cultures.

Being an optometrist means bringing primary care through vision to my local community and the best way to accomplish that is through listening and coming up with a treatment plan that works well for the patient’s lifestyle.
