About Douglas Sharpe, OD

Dr. Sharpe obtained his Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon, and his Bachelor of Science from the University of Colorado at Denver and Pacific University. He completed an internship in Denver, specializing in the treatment of eye disease, particularly corneal and retinal conditions. Dr. Sharpe is a member of the Colorado Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. With more than 35 years of experience in private practice, Dr. Sharpe also served as a Clinical Optometrist and Clinical Director at a major Laser vision correction facility in the Denver metro area. LASIK, PRK, and other refractive surgery treatments remain one of his strong interests. He specializes in specialty contact lens fittings, including those requiring toric, bifocal, rigid, hybrid, and scleral lenses for the treatment of keratoconus and other cornea conditions resulting in abnormal or irregular cornea shape. He has extensive experience in age-related conditions, including dry eye diagnosis and treatment, glaucoma treatment, macular degeneration management, and post-cataract surgery care. Dr. Sharpe has been a resident of Colorado for over 50 years, primarily practicing optometry in the southwest Denver metro area. He enjoys scuba diving, traveling, hiking, mountain biking, carpentry, and spending time with family.

Dr. Trego grew up in Altoona, Pennsylvania and has resided in State College with her husband, Matthew Trego, since 2007. She completed her undergraduate studies at Bloomsburg University and received her doctorate of optometry from Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Dr. Trego joined CPVA in 2005 and has been dedicated to providing her patients with quality eye care in a friendly environment. She enjoys making personal relationships with her patients which helps her better serve their visual needs. When she is not at the office, she loves spending time with her two children, Natalie and Joey, and walking her dog, Cookie.

Stephanie Fozard, OD

About Stephanie Fozard, OD

Dr. Fozard was born and raised in Clearfield, Pennsylvania and has resided in State College since 1994. She completed her undergraduate studies at Gannon University and received her doctorate of optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She founded Central Penn Vision in 1997 with the idea of providing family-oriented eye care with a personal touch. She enjoys getting to know her patients as more than just patients. When not in the office, she loves spending time with her husband Scott, and their two children, Abby and Carter.

Katherine Harvatine, OD

About Katherine Harvatine, OD

Dr. Harvatine grew up in Michigan and has resided in the State College area with her family since 2009. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan and received her doctorate of optometry from Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University. Dr. Harvatine joined CPVA in 2025 and is committed to assisting patients with their unique eye health needs. She enjoys getting to know each patient and fostering a caring atmosphere. When she is not at the office, she loves spending time with her two children, Russell and Ryan, and doting on her cats, Charlie and Orangutang.

Dr. Simon completed his undergraduate studies at Northern Illinois University. He then went on to graduate, with honors, from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. His clinical area of expertise is in cornea, dry eye, refractive surgery, and contact lenses. Dr. Simon brings over 30 years of experience to patient care in the Chicagoland area.

Doctor George Nagy completed his undergraduate schooling at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and he received his doctorate from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1995, graduating with honors. Dr. Nagy has served the Downers Grove, and the surrounding communities since 2001. His scope of practice includes Pediatric and Geriatric Eye Care, Specialty Contact Lenses including Multifocal and Toric, LASIK co-management, and Corneal Refractive Therapy (CRT). Dr. Nagy takes great pride in taking the time to get to know you, understanding your visual and lifestyle needs, and providing you with the highest quality eye health and vision examinations. Dr. Nagy is married and enjoys spending time with his wife and visiting his 5 grown kids, all of whom are scattered in different parts of the country. In his spare time he enjoys traveling, working out, playing guitar and outdoor activities.
