Christopher McCann, OD

About Christopher McCann, OD

Dr. Christopher McCann was born in Atlanta, Georgia and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. He achieved a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from North Carolina State University. He achieved another Bachelor of Science degree in Vision Science and then his Doctorate of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University in 2007. He completed a residency in ocular disease at the VA Hospital in Baldwin Park, Orlando. Dr. McCann has volunteered with Volunteer Optometric Service to Humanity (VOSH), traveling to impoverished nations to provide medical eye care. He has participated in several medical mission trips to Trinidad, Peru, and Ecuador during his time at Nova. He is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Florida Optometric Association. In his spare time, Dr. McCann enjoys spending time with his family, playing the guitar, and playing sports.

Sherrall Jenkins, OD

About Sherrall Jenkins, OD

Dr. Sherrall Jenkins earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Tougaloo College and later her Master of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Mississippi. Dr. Jenkins’ academic path continued to Kentucky College of Optometry where she obtained her Doctorate while being an active leader in student organizations and community involvement. Dr. Jenkins received clinical training in ocular disease, dry eye management, pre- and post-operative care, and myopia management throughout her rotations. Dr. Jenkins is dedicated to delivering a patient-focused approach and improving the quality of visual health for all. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and channeling her energy in the gym and into her music as a pianist.

Dr. Danielle King was born and raised in Miami, Florida and has been practicing in South Florida for 20 years. She received her optometry degree from SUNY College of Optometry in 2006, after completing her undergraduate degrees at the University of Florida in 2001. Dr. King provides comprehensive eye exams for adults and children, along with contact lens fittings and medical eye visits. She takes pride in providing personalized care to every patient. In her free time, she enjoys watching movies, dancing, crafting, and traveling.

About Vanessa Saenz Cortes, OD

Dr. Vanessa Saenz Cortes was born and raised in South Florida. She attended the University of Central Florida for her undergraduate education, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences. She received an additional Bachelor of Science in Vision Science and her Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University, where she graduated with honors. During her academic career, she represented NSU as a student ambassador and participated in student organizations such as Beta Sigma Kappa, the National Optometric Student Association, Contact Lens Society, and more. She obtained clinical experience providing primary eye care and pediatric eye care at clinics in Davie and North Miami Beach. She also has experience providing eye care to veterans at VA clinics. Her goal is to provide compassionate and comprehensive care to people of all ages and ensure patients have their visual needs met. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and dog, reading, crafting, and exploring Orlando.
