Dr. Omar D. Garza received his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Houston in 1999. His final year of optometric education included externships in Madrid, Spain, and the Spokane U.S. VETERANS MEDICAL HEALTH CENTER. He also practiced for a brief time in Washington State following his graduation from Optometry school. In 2001, Dr. Garza returned to South Texas, where he was born and raised. Dr. Garza was a government contractor for the UNITED STATES AIR FORCE (USAF). Dr. Garza was the head clinical optometrist for the Flying Class I (FCI)and Medical Flight Screening (MFS) programs at BROOKS CITY BASE in South San Antonio. His tasks included comprehensive ophthalmologic and refractive examinations for all potential and future USAF pilots. Dr. Garza also supported the Aeromedical Clinical Services (ACS) Ophthalmology branch, examining current USAF pilots with visually significant conditions such as Glaucoma, Kerataconus, Cataracts, and other eye diseases. From 2008 to 2018, he ran a solo practice in San Antonio. For the past four years, he has been an associate Optometrist in a private multi-doctor multi-clinic practice in North Central Texas. Dr. Garza is a native South Texan with two children. Dr. Omar D. Garza is fluent in Spanish and enjoys conversational Spanish with his patients.

Dr. Alexandria Mckeen completed her Honours Bachelors of Science at University of Toronto in 2019. She graduated from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2024. In 2024-2025, she completed a residency in Ocular Disease at Seidenberg Protzko Eye Associates. In her downtime, Dr. Mckeen enjoys reading, finding new places to eat, and spending time with friends and family.

Undergraduate Education: Auburn University, Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in psychology. Optometry School: University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry. Certifications/Awards: AOA, ALOA. Hobbies/Interests: I enjoy spending time outdoors, playing tennis, and following Auburn athletics!

Undergraduate Education: Bachelor's degree in Biology from Millersville University. Optometry School: Salus University. Hobbies/Interests: I have always loved music since my days of Marching band in high school. I play saxophone and guitar. I love animals and enjoy video gaming with my Fiancée.

Dr. Ruhi Mathew is a residency-trained, board-certified optometrist specializing in comprehensive eye care. She graduated with a B.S. in Integrative Neuroscience from SUNY Binghamton before earning her doctorate from Salus University (PCO) at Drexel University. She further refined her expertise in managing complex eye conditions by completing a residency in Ocular Disease and Low Vision/Traumatic Brain Injury at the West Haven VA. Her extensive training allows her to address a wide range of visual health concerns, such as dry eye, cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, as well as various binocular vision disorders. Dr. Mathew is an active member of both the Connecticut Association of Optometrists (CAO) and the American Optometric Association (AOA), staying current on the latest advancements in eye care and treatment options. ​When she’s not caring for her patients, Dr. Mathew enjoys spending time with her partner and their two orange cats. She is thrilled to provide high-quality eye care through a compassionate approach.

My name is Dr. Sammy Haskins and I graduated Auburn University Summa Cum Laude in 2020. I then matriculated at the UAB School of Optometry in 2021 after working as a technician for a year. I graduated from UABSO in 2025 and won the Dean's Award of Excellence. A fun fact about me in optometry school is that I was the 3rd place finisher in the AOSA Optometry Student Bowl as a 3rd year. I am currently completing an ocular disease residency at the Tuscaloosa VA. Some of my favorite hobbies and interests are basketball, snowboarding, golf, cooking, and exploring local cuisine.
