Professional Achievements and Associations: I am a member of the American Optometric Association and the Pennsylvania Optometric Association. I became an optometrist because I grew up with the experience of needing glasses and contacts at a young age. It sparked my curiosity about the human eye and the science behind best vision correction. Through my many years of schooling and clinical experiences, I recognized that being an optometrist wasn't just about diagnosing refractive errors or prescribing lenses; it was about building meaningful relationships with patients, understanding their unique needs, and helping them live their best lives with clear vision. Each patient encounter enforces the life-changing impact optometry has on all individuals. Hobbies/Interests: In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, watching the Green Bay Packers, and walking my puppy, Rudy.

Dr. LaPierre is a licensed optometrist committed to providing personalized, comprehensive eye care to all patients. She earned her Bachelor of Vision Science from Ferris State University and went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry from The Michigan College of Optometry located at FSU. Dr. LaPierre completed a VA residency specializing in the management of ocular diseases. She chose optometry to provide meaningful healthcare, optimize every patient’s vision, and to promote preventative eye care. Outside the clinic, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family and cats.

Dr. Emma Gohmann is a dedicated optometrist with a heart for patient care. She splits most of her time between Manning, SC, and Mount Pleasant, SC, serving the communities at MED-217 and MED-218. Her journey began at Ohio University, and later, she pursued her passion at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. As a primary care optometrist, Dr. Gohmann thrives on making a difference in people’s lives by helping patients achieve better vision and ocular health. Outside the office, Dr. Gohmann enjoys tennis, pickleball, rock climbing, live music and the beach.

Undergraduate education: Western Illinois University. Optometry School: Illinois college of Optometry I have practiced Optometry in Carol Stream since 1997. I pride myself in treating my patients like family and offer the best comprehensive eyecare for the entire community. Outside of Optometry I enjoy time with my four adult children. I am an avid gardener with my focus on bonsai trees as well as flowers and vegetables.
