Bailey Ford, OD

About Bailey Ford, OD

Dr. Bailey Ford earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Riverside before pursuing her Doctorate in Optometry from Western University College of Optometry. In optometry school she was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honors Society and served as a member of her Student Government Association. During her fourth year externships she gained invaluable experience in the treatment and management of ocular disease from Lobue Laser and Eye Medical Center in her hometown of Murrieta, California, the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, and Orange County Retina Medical Group. She also studied binocular vision disorders and behavioral optometry at the Optometric Vision Development Center in La Jolla, California. After graduating, she completed a residency in primary care and ocular disease through the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She moved to Pennsylvania for education and stayed for the love of her husband and the Philadelphia Eagles. Dr. Ford has a passion for eye care and her goal is to protect and improve sight through a holistic approach to optometry, understanding her patients’ eye problems as they relate to their systemic health and individual needs. During her free time, Dr. Ford loves to read, swim, hike our National Parks, and go to concerts.

Aaditya Ajmani, OD

About Aaditya Ajmani, OD

Dr. Aaditya Ajmani has been in practice serving patients in the Hampton Roads area since the fall of 2004. He received his degree in optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2003 after completing his undergraduate education at the University of Maryland with a B.S. in Biology in 1999. His favorite part of being an optometrist is the relationships he builds in seeing patients and their families year after year and helping them walk through their lives with a little more clarity. In his free time, Dr. Ajmani enjoys attending concerts, hiking, and visiting the National Parks with his wife and dog.

David Sausner, OD

About David Sausner, OD

After graduating from The New England College of Optometry in 1986, and as a raised Massapequan, Dr. David Sausner returned to his hometown to join the family practice. Seeing the changes occurring in optometry he seized the opportunity to advance the practice into a medical optometric model. Dr. Sausner updated the office and continued his education, ultimately receiving licensure for the highest level of optometric medical practice in New York; allowing him to diagnose and treat ocular disease with topical medications. Dr. Sausner was invited to become a laser correction affiliate when laser correction was introduced in 1994 and co-manages both laser correction and cataract surgery. Dr Sausner also has special interests in dry eye diagnosis and treatment and complicated contact lens fittings. His expertise in challenging contact lens fittings has resulted in his participation as a key opinion leader for contact lens manufacturers. Dr. Sausner has been involved with a local optometric society and has served as a leader on their executive board. While the practice continues to expand on the medical side, ‘Dr. David” has not forgotten his roots in optometry and can often be seen helping in the office’s designer optical boutique. In his free time Dr. Sausner enjoys time with his family as well as the waters of the south shore and local golf courses.

Progressive nearsightedness is an epidemic among all the near work adults and especially children do today. We work proactively with local school nurses and parents to be sure children have their eyes examined early and often, using technologies to reduce and, many times, eliminate myopia progression.
