Dr. Michael Vuong grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2007. He then went on to complete his Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in 2012. Now a Floridian, Dr. Vuong looks forward to addressing your visual needs and eye health concerns.

Dr. Schneid’s educational journey reflects a solid commitment to healthcare and optometry. After attending the University of South Florida and the University of Maryland, College Park, he pursued his passion for eye care at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Vision Care and a Doctor of Optometry degree there. This solid foundation in science and clinical practice equips him to make a significant impact in eye care and enhance the vision health of his community. Dr. Schneid is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Maryland Optometric Association, showcasing his commitment to professional growth and community service. His involvement with the InfantSEE program and the Lion’s Club reflects his dedication to providing essential care, especially to needy children. Practicing in Takoma Park, he’s known for his outgoing personality and caring demeanor, making his patients feel comfortable and valued. He accepts new patients, welcoming the community to experience his dedication to high-quality eye care. Outside of his practice, Dr. Schneid resides in Maryland with his wife, and they enjoy a variety of hobbies together, including traveling, photography, gardening, cooking, and practicing Aikido. These diverse interests enrich his life and foster meaningful connections with others
