Alberto Camacho Quevedo, OD

About Alberto Camacho Quevedo, OD

Dr. Alberto Camacho grew up in nearby Vernon, Texas. He graduated with honors from Vernon High School. After graduation, Dr. Camacho was accepted to the University of New Mexico with a full academic scholarship. His passion for giving back to his community was deeply ingrained as a brother of Lambda Theta Phi, Latino Fraternity. Dr. Camacho graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Honors Program at the University of New Mexico with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. He then went on to pursue his Doctor of Optometry from the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry (UIWRSO) in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Camacho’s clinical experience began immediately at UIWRSO, but his passion for Vision Therapy and the Pediatric population began while providing vision screenings at the San Antonio and Bourne Elementary Schools during his second year at UIWRSO. This passion for Developmental Optometry was further engrained while receiving further training in the Vision Therapy specialty clinic within UIWRSO. Dr. Camacho further expanded his skills in Vision Therapy during his externship in an Optometry office offering Vision Therapy. Aside from the Vision Therapy training, Dr. Camacho was fortunate to also work with the San Antonio Veterans Administration Eye Clinic and provide eye care for our nation’s veterans. Dr. Camacho is a member of the South Plains Optometric Society, Texas Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association. Dr. Camacho specializes in Therapeutic Optometry (which includes treatment for dry eye, eye infections and foreign body removal), Specialty Contact Lenses (including Multi-focal, Rigid Gas Permeable, Keratoconus, and Corneal Refractive Therapy contact lenses), Family Vision, Laser Vision Evaluations with the Laser Eye Center of Lubbock, and Vision Therapy. His hobbies include travelling, spending time with family and friends, attending Texas Tech sporting events, and watching soccer, including his favorite team, Club America. Dr Camacho is fluent in Spanish and is ready to provide eye care for his patients.

Anthony Spencer, OD

About Anthony Spencer, OD

Dr. Spencer was born and raised in Northwest Indiana. He earned his Bachelor of Business degree in 1992 from Texas Christian University. He attended the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, California. After receiving his Doctor of Optometry degree in 2006, he went on a VOSH (Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity) trip to provide free eye exams and glasses to the underserved in the Dominican Republic. He recently retired from the United States Air Force where he practiced as an Optometrist for nine years. He participated in two military medical humanitarian trips; one to the Arctic Circle in northern Alaska and the other to the Kingdom of Tonga in the South Pacific. His wife, Ruth, is also retired from the United States Air Force, and they are blessed with two sons and a daughter who attend Frenship ISD. Dr. Spencer is a member of the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association, and the South Plains Optometric Society. Dr. Spencer specializes in Glaucoma/Therapeutic Optometry, Specialty Contact Lenses, Family Vision and Laser Vision Evaluations with the Laser Eye Center of Lubbock.

Steven Barclay, OD

Dr. Barclay was born and raised in Southwest Michigan. He attended the Michigan College of Optometry (MCO) at Ferris State University, where he earned his Bachelors of Vision Science degree in 2005. During optometry school, Dr. Barclay was an active member in student organizations. He was President of the Michigan Optometric Student Association (MOSA) in his third year of optometry school and went on a VOSH (Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity) trip to St. Lucia to provide free eye exams and glasses to the underserved. He graduated in 2007 with high honors from MCO and practiced in Indiana and Michigan his first four years as an Optometrist before locating to Lubbock, TX. in 2011 with his wife and son. Their son is very active in baseball and attends Friendship ISD. They also have a daughter who was born in Lubbock, TX. in 2014. In 2011, Dr. Barclay became a Board-Certified Optometrist after he successfully completed the inaugural test offered by the American Board of Optometry. Dr. Barclay is a member of the South Plains Optometric Society, American Optometric Association, and the Texas Optometric Association. Dr. Barclay specializes in Glaucoma/Therapeutic Optometry (which includes treatment for glaucoma, dry eye, eye infections and foreign body removal), Specialty Contact Lenses (including multi-focal, rigid, Keratoconus, and Corneal Refractive Therapy (CRT) contact lenses), Family Vision and Laser Vision Evaluations with the Laser Eye Center of Lubbock.

About Chris Vincent, OD

Dr. Chris Vincent, an optometrist practicing at MyEyeDr. in Austin, Texas, has a passion for providing exceptional eye care. He embarked on a journey to fulfill his lifelong goal of becoming an optometrist after graduating from the University of Wyoming. He then obtained his Doctor of Optometry degree at Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry. During his time at NSU College of Optometry, Dr. Vincent was selected to complete his specialty clinical rotations at renowned eye care institutions across the country. Alongside his doctoral studies, Dr. Vincent served as a research director and co-authored a clinical study focusing on simultaneous vision in bifocal contact lenses. Additionally, he was chosen to participate in the esteemed "Successful RGP Fitting" program sponsored by the RGP Lens Institute, where he was a finalist for Ed Bennett's RGP Scholarship. Dr. Vincent's commitment to professional growth and patient well-being led him to earn his Fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry in 2007. In the same year, he was elected to the Colorado Board of Trustees, where he served as a Trustee for a two-year term. During his tenure, Dr. Vincent contributed as a clinical investigator for various ophthalmic industry companies. Driven by a desire to expand his horizons, Dr. Vincent relocated to Austin, Texas. It was during a family vacation to central Texas that the Vincent family fell in love with Austin and its vibrant community. Driven by a deep commitment to his patients' well-being, Dr. Vincent continues to provide comprehensive eye care services, leveraging his extensive knowledge and experience to improve the eye and vision health of patients in the Austin area. Outside of his practice, Dr. Vincent cherishes his role as husband and father. He and his wife have two children, and they find immense joy in sharing their lives together.

Shannon Leitenbauer, OD

About Shannon Leitenbauer, OD

Dr. Shannon Leitenbauer graduated from Emporia State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology, then received her Doctorate of Optometry from Northeastern State University College of Optometry in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Upon graduation, she completed her residency in a hospital-based primary eye care/ocular disease clinic at the Veteran’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1998, she began in private practice. Her credentials include being a Certified Optometric Physician and a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Leitenbauer has served in several faculty positions, including Adjunct Faculty of Biology and Anatomy/Physiology at Indian River State College and The New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA. She also was an Adjunct Lecturer for Massachusetts General Hospital’s Nursing Program. Dr. Leitenbauer enjoys serving the community where she lives. She is an active member of the Ft. Pierce Chamber of Commerce, is past president of the Ft. Pierce Downtown Kiwanis Club, has served on the board of directors of the Treasure Coast Food Bank, and has volunteered for the St. Lucie County Big Brothers / Big Sisters program. She resides in Ft. Pierce with her husband, Jony Leitenbauer, and their three children.
