Dr Sylvester Ayewoh earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the prestigious New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts. He underwent extensive clinical training and rotations at renowned institutions such as The Boston Medical Center Ophthalmology Department, The Veteran's Administration Medical Center in Lowell, MA, The New England Eye Institute, and Eye Specialists of Georgia in Atlanta, GA. Dr Ayewoh is a dedicated professional member of esteemed organizations such as the Georgia Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, the Cornea and Contact Lens Section, and the Contact Lens Society of America. He has a keen interest and experience in treating and managing ocular diseases related to systemic conditions. He is strongly committed to ensuring easy and convenient access to quality eye care for all patients as needed. Dr Ayewoh's guiding principles and philosophy revolve around treating his patients as members of his extended family, providing them with personalized care marked by patience, compassion, respect, kindness, and dignity at all times. In his leisure time, he actively engages in community voluntary work, enjoys traveling, participates in government activities, and, most importantly, cherishes moments spent with his family.

Christian Salazar Nino, OD

About Christian Salazar Nino, OD

Dr. Christian Salazar earned his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Central Florida in 2017. He then completed his Doctor of Optometry degree at Nova Southeastern University in 2023. Outside of work, Dr. Salazar is passionate about traveling and ocean conservation. He also enjoys staying active through Muay Thai and Krav Maga. As a car enthusiast, he loves exploring the world of motorsports and racing.

Sukrana Uddin, OD

About Sukrana Uddin, OD

After completing her undergraduate study in Biology at Columbia University in 2019, Dr. Uddin graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, receiving her Optometry degree in 2023. During her studies, she completed an externship at the Salisbury Veteran’s Affairs Hospital in NC, where she gained extensive knowledge in managing ocular diseases such as anterior segment disease, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration. She achieved clinical honors in all her externship rotations. In addition to her interests in disease and routine eye care, Dr. Uddin also enjoys fitting contact lenses and building a warm rapport with her patients. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the New Jersey Optometric Association. Outside of optometry, she is an avid reader, foodie, and community member, and she looks forward to exploring Boston (her new home)!

Austin White, OD

About Austin White, OD

Dr. Austin White earned his bachelor’s degree in biology with honors from West Virginia University in 2007, and his doctorate from the New England College of Optometry in 2012. Originally from Fayetteville, West Virginia, he has lived in Robinson Township for 11 years and is excited to be treating patients close to home. He is an avid skier, hiker, reader, and sports enthusiast, and lives with his wife and two daughters.

Johnathan Brown, OD

About Johnathan Brown, OD

Johnathan, born and raised in Nederland, TX has made Pearland his home for the last 10 years. Dr. Brown is the former owner of Pearland Vision Center. Johnathan received his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2012 and is also an alumnus of the Aggie class of 2008. Dr. Brown is board-certified in all aspects of Optometry; he enjoys working with everyone in your family, from children who need the best possible vision for school to the more mature patients requiring Diabetic eye exams and more. Dr. Brown's specialties include foreign body removal, contact lens evaluations, and dry eye disease. He is also a sports vision therapist with specific golf expertise in putting as a Putt Doctor Associate. His professional interests include a specialty in therapeutic glaucoma treatment & future advances in technology. Dr. Brown can conduct eye exams in English and Spanish and is eager for his patients to help him gain fluency. Dr. Brown is married to Dr. Jobeth Brown, a local Pediatrician. They have two beautiful young daughters, Isla and Zoe, and a whole host of animals, including one dog and three cats. Mary Shatleh, OD

About Mary Shatleh, OD

Dr. Shatleh graduated from the University of Houston Honors College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Minor in Medicine & Society. She went on to receive her Doctorate from the University of Houston College of Optometry, where she received several letters of excellence during her clinical rotations. She was trained with a focus on ocular disease, glaucoma, dry eye, and surgical co-management. Dr. Shatleh has special interests in fitting multifocal contact lenses, refractive surgery co-management (LASIK, PRK, and multifocal cataract lens replacement), and providing essential eye care for children. She also routinely diagnoses and manages acute and chronic eye diseases, including ocular trauma, infection, and retinal disease. Dr. Shatleh was raised in Pearland and graduated from Pearland High School. She loves practicing in the community she grew up in and is proud to be taking care of many people she’s crossed paths with growing up here. When she’s not at the office, she spends her free time with her husband and two young daughters. She enjoys reading and cooking and stays active in her church community.

Born and raised in Western New York, Nicole Pederson earned her B.S. degree in biology from Niagara University and her Doctor of optometry degree from NOVA Southeastern University. She completed externships at Katzen Eye group in Baltimore, Maryland and the Wilmington VA in Wilmington, Delaware. Dr. Pederson is passionate about personalized, patient-centered care that is tailored to meet each patient’s unique needs. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with her family, walks with her dog, reading, gardening, and live music.

Matthiew Hoogland, OD

Dr. Matthiew Hoogland (Dr. Matt) is a board-certified optometrist specializing in primary care and ocular disease management. Hailing from northwest Iowa, he earned his BS in Biology from Dordt University (2009) and optometry degree from Pacific University (2017), followed by a year-long ocular disease residency in Oklahoma. Now calling North Carolina home, Dr. Matt is proud to be part of the American and North Carolina Optometric Associations. Dr. Matt is passionate about patient care and in his free time enjoys pickleball, hiking, and playing piano for his local church.
