About Marcy Schultenover, OD

A native of Michigan, Dr. Marcy Schultenover attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor for her undergraduate degree. While completing her graduate degree at the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA, she had externships in the Pediatric and Low Vision Specialties Clinic in the New England Eye Institute in Boston, MA, the Newington, CT VA Hospital, and the Dorchester House Community Clinic in Dorchester, MA. She holds current memberships in the American Optometric Association (AOA), the Cornea and Contact Lens Section of the AOA and the New Hampshire Optometric Association. Dr. Schultenover is a certified provider in CooperVision’s Brilliant Futures™ Myopia Management program. She’s health-focused and tries to make exercise and healthy eating a priority, often cooking with her daughter who has an affinity for ethnic dishes. Dr. Schultenover loves to travel and plans family trips that offer a variety of different experiences, cultural exposure, and cuisines.

Nazanin Latifi, OD

About Nazanin Latifi, OD

Dr. Nazanin Latifi attended George Mason University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She then attended the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University, where she earned her Doctor of Optometry degree. Dr. Latifi resides in Northern Virginia, and has enjoyed providing eye care to her patients in MD and VA for the past decade. She is passionate about her career, music, dancing, nature, and spending time with her husband and two kids.

Gregory Foley, OD

I always strive to help my patients live their best lives by providing the best comprehensive exams and contact lens fits that maximize my patients’ visual needs. I listen to their concerns and provide options to maximize their visual performance. I have practiced since 1993 in various modalities thru my career. In the early part of my career, I had staff privileges at various hospital in NC where I gathered expertise in managing various ocular disease states. I stay very active in continuing education and professional organizations to ensure I am current on the latest knowledge and technology related to eye care. I also strive to learn the community that I serve and become involved so I can understand community needs. In recent years I have provided care and glasses for children in various DC public charter schools. I’ve also volunteered at health screen days on Capitol Hill. I try to support local charities and I have been involved as an athlete in local cycling, triathlon, swim and row teams. This gives me perspective on how to best serve my patients and community. Hobbies: general physical fitness and nutrition/cycling, running, triathlon, rowing, international hiking and travel, culinary food, and wine excursions.

Tiffany Lione, OD

About Tiffany Lione, OD

Dr. Lione has been providing top quality eyecare in Northern Virginia for over 20 years. Her passion lies in medical optometry and specialty contact lenses, specifically multi-focal contacts (for the over 40 crowd) and orthokeratology, a custom contact lens worn at night to control the progression of myopia in children and teens. Dr. Lione is honored to have been recognized by her patients and Loudoun Times Mirror as the “Best Eye Doctor” in Loudoun County for the past three years. According to Dr. Lione, “I truly enjoy my profession. It is so impactful to help people see their best and as a result, feel their best. I’ve been a part of this community for over 15 years and have loved getting to know my patients, their children, and their neighbors throughout this journey.” Dr. Lione lives in Loudoun County with her husband, children, and family dog. She enjoys attending her kid’s sporting events, staying in shape, and traveling.

Jamilah Birdsong, OD

About Jamilah Birdsong, OD

Dr. Birdsong grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and since the young age of 12 the field of Optometry has held a place in her heart. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia State University and went on to pursue her dream at Indiana University School of Optometry. She now returns to her hometown with an intense desire to serve her community. During her academic career she was a member of the American Optometric Student Association along with its Sports Vision Sector, the National Optometric Student Association, and was a representative of Indiana University Professional Student Organization. Dr. Birdsong has had extensive externship experiences which provided her with much knowledge in full-scope optometry. Her externships emphasized pediatrics, geriatrics, low vision, vision therapy, post-operative care, cataract evaluations, and contact lenses. If you have keratoconus, Dr. Birdsong is the specialist you will need to see at Eyeworks. She also performed many ocular disease co-management exams at Omni Medical center right here in Atlanta. Dr. Birdsong also had the privilege of providing care to veteran patients at a Neuro-psychiatric Veteran Hospital located in Maryland, where ocular disease and emergencies were handled on-site. She plans to bring all these skills, great service, and quality eye care to every patient she serves. Dr. Birdsong has a strong fondness for Geriatric and Pediatric Optometry, Ocular disease, Sports Vision, Optometry Associated Mission Work, and Contact Lenses with an emphasis on Bi-focal contacts. She loves taking the time to understand her patient’s ocular needs as well as their wants and is happy to offer knowledge of the field to everyone she serves. She feels patient education is essential to quality care, and she continues to expand her optometric education to fulfill this belief. Outside of the clinic she enjoys writing, movies, travel, and just spending good quality time with friends and family.

Ronald Mearsha, OD

About Ronald Mearsha, OD

Undergraduate Education: Colorado State University. Optometry School: Pacific University, College of Optometry graduating with honors in 2000. How are you impacting your local community or helping your patients live their best lives? Dr. Mearsha has a special interest in Orthokeratology (OrthoK), which is the science of reshaping the cornea of the eye, without surgery, to improve vision and virtually eliminate the need for daytime contact lenses and glasses. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control (IAOMC), actively practices Myopia Control and specializes in difficult-to-fit contact lenses including Scleral and Gas permeable. Dr. Mearsha has a strong interest in developmental optometry and determining how using vision therapy can improve classroom performance for students, as well as increase performance for athletes in a variety of sports. As a member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development and American Optometric Associations Sports Vision Section he can stay on the leading edge of new and exciting advances in Vision Therapy. Hobbies/Interests: Dr. Mearsha resides in Greeley, and in his spare time he enjoys bicycling, golfing, reading, home projects and family activities with his wife, Susie, and their three wonderful children.

Malia Ma, OD

About Malia Ma, OD

Dr. Malia Ma received her undergraduate education from Colorado State University with a bachelor in Biology. She earned her doctorate of Optometry from Pacific University, where she focused on service by working as an ambassador for the university and volunteering as an Amigos member in elementary schools, Special Olympics, and underserved communities both locally and abroad. Dr. Ma seeks to serve the eye care needs of adults and children alike, with a special interest in conditions like dry eye, contact lenses, ocular disease, diabetes exams, LASIK and cataract evaluations and emergency eye care. Although a Hawaii native, Dr. Ma has traded her hula skirt and surfboard for hiking boots and a snowboard and now calls Colorado her home. She is an active member of the Colorado Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. She enjoys spending time with her fiancé and pupper, camping, snowboarding, and spending time with friends and family.
