Dr. Katherine McCracken is a dedicated primary care optometrist with a foundation in specialty contact lenses and ocular surface disease. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University and Doctor of Optometry from University of Houston. She joined MyEyeDr in 2019 and has had the opportunity to provide care in several locations across Florida. Outside the clinic, she enjoys trying new recipes in the kitchen and staying active on community trails with her dog, Pumpkin.

Undergraduate Education: Swarthmore College – Chemistry; graduated 1998. Optometry School: Pennsylvania College of Optometry 2020. Professional Achievements and Associations: Awarded honors in Pediatrics. Low Vision and Primary Care in optometry school; Pennsylvania Optometric Assoc; American Optometric Assoc. The reason I became an optometrist is: Always fascinated with the equipment at the eye doctor growing up. My favorite part of helping my patients is: giving them the best vision possible to they can live their best lives. In my spare time, I enjoy: Running in the parks; splaying sports with my kids.

I impact the community and help patients live their best lives by providing comprehensive eye exams for adults and children, diabetic eye exams, contact lens fitting, and ocular disease management. In my free time I enjoy cars, motorcycling, hunting, target shooting, and spending time with my family.

Clinical Certifications and Specialties: No specific certified specialties but on a day-to-day basis I treat and diagnose glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, remove corneal foreign bodies. Fit hard and soft contact lenses. Also see children of all ages. The reason I became an optometrist is: Having a sibling that is an optometrist and 15 years older, I was introduced to the profession at an early age. I was able to see “behind the scenes” and was immediately interested in the profession. I always gravitated towards the sciences in school and as I progressed through my education, it became clearer that optometry was the perfect fit. My favorite part of helping my patients is: Giving a patient his or her first pair of glasses, especially kids. Their reaction to seeing the world clear for the first time is priceless. Also, being informed by a parent that a child’s school performance has improved because of his or her glasses is something that never gets old. In my spare time, I enjoy: Playing golf; Spending time with my wife and kids.

Professional Achievements and Associations: American Optometric Association, Indiana Optometric Association. The reason I became an optometrist is: Growing up, I was always at the eye doctor. Many times, I can relate to what my patients are going through because of my own vision history. By helping people see, I feel like I am making a difference in their lives. My favorite part of helping my patients is: I like developing lasting relationships with my patients. Some I have seen for a few years. I know their families, and they know mine as well. In my spare time, I enjoy: My husband and kids, fitness & nutrition.

Dr. Dayringer earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Grand Valley State University in Biomedical Science and earned his Doctor of Optometry from the Michigan College of Optometry. Dr. Dayringer enjoys all areas of Primary Care Optometry with special interest in the treatment of ocular disease.

Comprehensive eye examinations for families, diabetic eye exams, glaucoma treatments, contact lens exams and fittings, and other ocular disease management. Hobbies/Interests: includes golfing, woodworking, grandchildren, and working (landscaping) around my home in Liberty Township.

Dr. Hartman is a graduate of Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois where he earned his bachelor degree in Biology in 1989. In 1993, he earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry. His areas of interest include contact lenses, ocular disease management and dry eye therapy. Dr. Hartman and his family reside in Liberty Township, where they have been the last fourteen years. Originally from Illinois, Dr. Hartman had lived in Detroit and Denver prior to moving to Cincinnati. Dr. Hartman enjoys woodworking, model railroading and running. He is also a student of history, focusing mostly on The Revolutionary War and the Colonial Period.

There are human beings behind every set of eyes I check, and they all have their own story. How are you helping patients live their best lives? I love figuring out a plan for each individual patient and their eyes, calming any anxieties or fears. What does providing a transformational eyecare experience mean to you? I look at the entire spectrum of eye health- counseling, education, prevention, numerous treatment options, and quality service. How are you impacting your local community? I was born and raised in this community, and I LOVE serving my former teachers, neighbors, friends, and their families.
