Clinical Certifications and Specialties: Cooper Vision Clinical Research Investigator, AOA Optometric Recognition Award 1996. The reason I became an optometrist is: to help my patients preserve the precious gift of sight. My favorite part of helping my patients is: Helping my patients see the world around them. In my spare time, I enjoy: Hiking, reading, bridge and family.

Dr. Gerald Eisenstatt is a graduate of Southern College of Optometry, and has been in practice for 35 years. Dr. Eisenstatt is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians, and past president of the West Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians. Dr. Eisenstatt retired as an Associate Professor of Practice Management at Southern College of Optometry where he received the distinguished Teacher of the Year award from the senior class for several years. He was also the Director of the Hayes Center for Practice Excellence, and a member of the Practice Management Educators Association. Dr. Eisenstatt received his M.B.A. from Christian Brothers University in 2011. He is married to Lynn and they have two sons, Brian and Michael.

Dr. Leonard Hampton is a graduate of Southern College of Optometry and has been in private practice in Memphis for over 36 years. He is an adjunct faculty member for Southern College of Optometry, a Senior Examiner for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry, and the former president of the West Tennessee Optometric Society. He is married to Diane. Together, they have two children, Hallie (Ricky) and Will, and 2 grandchildren.

Dr. Butorac holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Indiana University and attended the prestigious Indiana University School of Optometry, where she received her Doctorate of Optometry, graduating top of her class with high honors. She is a member of the Indiana Optometric Association, Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society and the American Optometric Association. Dr. Butorac is a graduate of Hamilton Southeastern High School.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, including either hanging out at home with my wife, daughter, and twin sons, or watching one of my children's many sporting event. I also enjoy cycling, watching sports, and listening to music. My favorite part of helping my patients is watching a patient's reaction when they see the world through a pair of glasses for the first time. The way a person's face lights up when they can see clearly is priceless.
