About Victoria Tran, OD

Dr. Tran attended the University of Texas at Dallas where she received her Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2015. She then attended the University of Houston College of Optometry and graduated as valedictorian of her class in 2019. At her internships during optometry school, she was able to expand her knowledge in primary care optometry, ocular pathology, and specialty contact lenses. Dr. Tran is currently involved in the Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. Outside of optometry, she likes to spend her free time with her family and friends. Her hobbies include baking and watching Netflix.

The reason I became an optometrist is: I am the third generation of Optometrists in my family and have always admired those that precede me. My favorite part of helping my patients is: Listening carefully then just doing my best for them. In my spare time, I enjoy: Building fine furniture. Home repairs-first mine, now my son's. I converted a 1975 Porsche 914 to electric 12 years ago and am constantly improving its performance as technology advances.

Dr. Todd received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign and her Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. A member of the American Optometric Association and the Connecticut Association of Optometrists, Dr. Todd has been practicing for over 20 years, specializing in dry eye disease, specialized contact fittings, including toric and multifocal lenses, and emergency eye care. She has been a speaker and contributor to many ophthalmic and optometric audiences and journals on the topics of dry eye disease and contact lenses.

About James Maul, OD

Dr. James Maul earned his undergraduate Engineering degree at The Ohio State University and then continued on to The Ohio State University College of Optometry. Graduating in 1982, he attained membership in Beta Sigma Kappa, the Optometric Honor Society. Dr. Maul has taken an active role in community activities. Through membership in Lions and VOSH, he continues to help facilitate much needed vision care for the underprivileged, both in Norwalk and in Nicaragua. In addition to practicing primary eyecare, Dr. Jim has a particular interest in treating and educating patients dealing with diabetes and glaucoma. He has had two articles published in professional journals and is dedicated to bringing the latest technology and research available to his patients. Dr. Maul is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Ohio Optometric Association, and is a past governor of the North Central Optometric Association.

The reason I became an optometrist is: the instant gratification of positively impacting a patient's life by something as simple as prescribing an eyeglasses prescription. My favorite part of helping my patients is: taking time to listen to their needs or concerns and improving not only their eyesight but their quality of life as well. In my spare time, I enjoy: spin and barre fitness classes and cooking plant-based meals.
