Dr. Watson studied Chemistry at the University of Kentucky for 3 years before gaining early acceptance into optometry school in Memphis, TN. While in school she trained at Bennett and Bloom Eye Centers based in Louisville, KY and the Eye Care Center - a group of private practices based in Richmond, KY. She graduated with her doctorate degree from the Southern College of Optometry in spring of 2017. Dr. Watson's interests include spending time with her church family and cheering on the CATS with her husband, Steven.

Dr. Thao Tran received her doctorate from Inter American University of Puerto Rico, School of Optometry. There she learned to perform Spanish exams. She is certified through the National Boards of Examiners in Optometry and has a high interest in primary care, as well as the treatment and management of ocular disease. Her and her husband, an engineer and entrepreneur, have a philanthropic goal of inventing a device that will help better vision for people in underprivileged countries. Dr. Tran was born and raised in Indiana. As a first-generation Vietnamese-American, she can also speak Vietnamese. Leisurely, she loves spending time with her family. She and her husband have a toddler and a rescue dog.

Undergraduate Education: North Carolina State University, Zoology; Optometry School: Southern College of Optometry; Professional Achievements and Associations: American Optometric Association, North Carolina State Optometric Society, North Carolina Eastern District Optometric Society Association of Regulatory Boards of Optometry; The reason I became an optometrist is because in college, I knew I wanted to work in the medical field, but I did not decide on optometry until my last year of undergraduate education. For me, being able to improve someone's vision while at the same time evaluating with their overall health was the key determinant in wanting to be an optometrist. In my spare time, I enjoy "Spending time with my wife, 2 daughters and family, traveling, reading, bible study, cooking, and sports/athletics. My favorite part of helping my patients is being able to improve their vision and evaluate overall health, but also making relationships with them and getting to know about their interests and families, etc.

In my spare time, I enjoy travel, shopping, reading, playing with my dog. My favorite part of helping my patients is: It's rewarding to help people see their best because it can change their entire life.

Undergraduate Education: St Mary’s University, Winona MN. Optometry School: Illinois College of Optometry. How are you impacting your local community or helping your patients live their best lives? I treat my patients as though they were all my family, I try to find the best solution to their ocular problems and improve their vision. Hobbies/Interests: Training my horses to ride and drive, managing my farm and livestock, craft work using all kinds of mediums, yarn, beads etc.

Professional Achievements and Associations: American Optometric Association; Texas Optometric Association. Clinical Certifications and Specialties: Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. The reason I became an optometrist is: the instant gratification of positively impacting a patient's life by something as simple as prescribing an eyeglasses prescription. My favorite part of helping my patients is: taking time to listen to their needs or concerns and improving not only their eyesight but their quality of life as well. In my spare time, I enjoy: spin and barre fitness classes and cooking plant-based meals.

The reason I became an optometrist is: because I'm near-sighted myself, so from an early age I knew the importance of having my eyes checked regularly. My favorite part of helping my patients is: using my skills and knowledge to explain how their eyes are doing vision and health wise in a way that is easy for them to understand :) In my spare time, I enjoy: Spending time with my husband and my husky, Czar. I also enjoy traveling and finding the best pizza spots!
