What drives your passion for optometry? At the age of 12, I received my first pair of contact lenses. I was amazed by the great vision, freedom, and boost of self-esteem they provided. I strive to give that same feeling to all my patients. How are you helping patients live their best lives? By using my skills to provide them with clear comfortable vision. Hobbies/Interests: rooting for my two son’s sport teams and volunteering to aid in preparing team meals.

What drives your passion for optometry? As a glasses wearer since the age of two, I have experienced the benefits of quality eyecare. By taking the time to identify my patients’ needs and providing solutions, I can help patients live their best lives. What does providing a transformational eyecare experience mean to you? A transformational eyecare experience means providing a high level of care that exceeds all expectations, giving each of my patients the best eye exam they have ever had. How are you impacting your local community? I love being the neighborhood optometrist, taking care of the needs of the families in the community where I live. I love it when I hear kids at a school pickup tell their friends, “That’s my eye doctor!” It doesn’t get much better than that. Hobbies/Interests: I love spending time with my family, doing DIY house projects, playing instruments (hand drums and didgeridoo), and napping.

When providing comprehensive eye exams for adults and children, I always given them all their options and introduce them to the newest technology in the field. I also treat all with equality and patience. Ultimately, I also hope to inspire children to become pediatric optometrists. Hobbies/Interests: Shopping, spending time with family and friends, watching movies and shows.

The reason I became an optometrist is: I have always enjoyed helping people. Being an Optometrist allows me to provide patients with their visual needs and therefore help them do the things they enjoy. This can re-open their world of possibilities and create new adventures. Optometry is also a very social profession that allows me to interact with and learn about so many different people every day which is something I really love. My favorite part of helping my patients is: This is one of the few medical professions that for most of the time, allow us to improve our patients’ lives immediately by giving them the vision correct they need which is very fulfilling. In my spare time, I enjoy: Traveling, hiking, cooking, and serving at my church.

We can typically fix the patients vision problems quick, and the patients leave the office happy. How are you helping patients live their best lives? By making them see better and feel more confident. How are you impacting your local community? I provide mobile eye care to patients in nursing homes. Many of them can’t leave the location so we go to them. Hobbies/Interests: Biking, hiking , dancing.

I enjoy traveling to underserved countries and providing care to people who've never had exams before. Giving someone glasses who have never had them and watching them see for the first time is amazing! How are you helping patients live their best lives? I enjoy helping people see their best and giving them the ability to keep performing the tasks and hobbies that are the most important to them. It means taking the time to listen to you patients, answer their questions and make sure they are comfortable with the decisions we are making to improve their vision together.
