Dr. Jennifer Willcox was born and raised in Memphis, TN. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Memphis with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics. She received her doctorate from Southern College of Optometry and graduated magna cum laude. In optometry school, Dr. Willcox was invited to become a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa honors society, and served on the council for the Student Society of the Tennessee Optometric Association. As a student, she received the William Feinbloom award for her clinical skills and was chosen to present research at the annual American Academy of Optometry meeting. After graduation from optometry school, Dr. Willcox completed her residency in Ocular and Refractive Surgery at Toyos Clinic in Germantown, TN. While at Toyos Clinic, she was responsible for the co-management and counseling of patients undergoing cataract and LASIK surgery, as well as diagnosis and treatment of ocular pathology. Dr. Willcox has published research regarding novel methods of dry eye treatment in the Journal of Photobiomodulation, Photomedicine, and Laser Surgery. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Optometry, and is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians. In her free time, Dr. Willcox enjoys traveling, scuba diving, cheering on the Memphis Tigers, and spending time with her husband, Tadd, and their two boys, Harrison and William.

I love that I can manage eye disease and at the same time provide see patients happy with their new trendy eyewear! How are you helping patients live their best lives? My number one priority is to deliver exceptional service to my patients. I always want the patients to feel they can call on me for any concern they have with their eyes. What does providing a transformational eyecare experience mean to you? Having patients return year after year, because a level of trust and integrity has been built. How are you impacting your local community? By building fundamental relationships with patients , so they know they can receive the best care through me.

Vision is our most important sense, and I love being able to play a part in helping to ensure my patients have a higher quality of life they can enjoy. Hobbies/Interests: Motorsports, motorcycle touring, traveling, camping & hiking.

I started practicing in Lynchburg, Virginia, in 1980. I enjoy seeing so many of my returning patients and have made many wonderful new friends along the way. The profession of Optometry has been very rewarding. I provide comprehensive eye exams and manage ocular disease. Hobbies: I love spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy playing golf and watching all kinds of other sports.

My passion for optometry started when I got my first pair of glasses in middle school. When I got the opportunity to shadow my own optometrist, I found the optometric exam with the various diagnostic tools and images to be so exciting. How are you helping patients live their best lives? The most important thing for me is to find solutions to my patients’ problems. I want my patients to be able to see their best and feel their best, whether it is a new pair of glasses or finding management to control their systemic diseases. What does providing a transformational eyecare experience mean to you? I strive to provide the best quality eye care for every single patient that walks through the door. This requires individualizing management based on personal needs in order to achieve the most satisfactory experience. How are you impacting your local community?
