Professional Achievements and Associations: American Optometric Association; Virginia Optometric Association; Shenandoah Valley Optometric Society. Clinical Certifications and Specialties: Diplomate, American Board of Optometry; Synergeyes Certified Contact Lens Fitter; Pacific Cataract and Laser Institute, Refractive Surgery Course. This was a “WOW, I can see clearly now…” amazing experience. So amazing, that the value of clear eyesight spoke to me that day and led me to want to create that WOW experience for others. Therefore, I chose to become an optometrist. My favorite part of helping my patients is: The “that’s amazing” expression that lights up a patient face when they see better brings me joy. Seeing this expression daily is rewarding. These are the reasons I love being an optometrist because I get to improve the lives of people every day by helping them see. In my spare time, I enjoy: The performing arts, magic, bicycling, and travel.
