What drives your passion for optometry? I enjoy providing high quality, personalized medical and routine eye exams to patients with whom I genuinely enjoy our interactions in bettering their eye health needs. I also like to both educate my patients and place them at ease so that their experience at MyEyeDr is a two-way dialogue where we both listen and respond in a relaxed setting. Hobbies/interest. Dr. Peck received her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry. She completed her internship studies at Fort Carson Army Base in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She has practiced optometry for over 33 years. She grew up in Brownsville, Texas and is fortunate enough to have most of my family in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Her son graduated from John Paul II High School in Plano, and graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2018. Her husband Mike, from southern Minnesota, is a financial broker with Morgan Stanley. He reached his dream of being a professional baseball player when he was drafted out of high school into the major league baseball system where he spent 15 years playing with the Cardinals and Orioles.

How are you impacting your local community or helping your patients live their best lives? By providing comprehensive eye exams for adults and children, diabetic eye exams, contact lens fitting, glaucoma management, postoperative co-management for cataract surgery and LASIK, binocular visual dysfunctions, and ocular disease management. Hobbies/Interests: Playing with my kids, running, and cheering on TCU Horned Frogs!

Optometrist with experience in pediatric, emergent, and case specific examinations. Four years of clinical experiences in comprehensive eye exams, including: diseases, contact lens services, visual therapies, evaluation/treatment of ocular pathology, and pre/post-operative surgical co-management. Ability to perform quick and efficient exams with communication of eye health, eye wear, and prescription advice to patients. A team player with additional clinical work experience as a front office, triage, phone room, and back office technician before optometry school. Possess the ability to handle all situations with ease and be able to transition for flow of office efficiently.

An experience in which the patient feels comfortable, cared for, and confident that their eye care needs are being addressed and well taken care of. How are you impacting your local community? Although new to the area, I am enjoying meeting new members of this community and supporting the surrounding local businesses. How are you impacting your local community? I enjoy giving back to my community and complete numerous volunteer hours each year with different organizations. Professional Achievements and Associations: Graduated with honors from UABSO; Pediatric Residency from UABSO in 2016; Arkansas Optometric Association; American Optometric Association. Clinical Certifications and Specialties: Pediatric Residency. The reason I became an optometrist is: I know what's it's like to need correction to see from a young age and how life changing it can be to get the care you need. I wanted to impact a community by helping those of all ages who have vision problems, especially the underserved pediatric population. My favorite part of helping my patients is: I love viewing every patient as a puzzle that I need to solve. I am immediately working to find out what they are having difficulty with so I can find the correct pieces to fix their problem and make their life better. I love that moment when I "solve the puzzle", whether it is patching a pediatric patient, prescribing multi focal contacts, recommending anti-glare or bifocals for the first time, or referring to a specialist. I get joy from helping my patients improve their vision and quality of life! In my spare time, I enjoy: Spending time with my family and friends, helping people with their skincare and makeup needs, reading on rainy days and fishing at my Dad's pond.
