Dr. Ryan Wooldridge is a Colorado Springs native. He completed his bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and then proceeded to the University of Houston, College of Optometry where he graduated summa cum laude. Prior to optometry school, Dr. Wooldridge worked as an optician for three years and gained valuable knowledge which allows him to provide the highest quality refractive care. His interests include refractive care, contact lenses, LASIK co-management, and medical optometry including red eye management. Dr. Wooldridge has a passion for helping people which was developed early in life and was strengthened when he went on 2 separate medical mission trips, once to Panama, and once to Nicaragua. During his time off, Ryan enjoys traveling, exploring the Denver and Boulder areas with his fiancé who is a residency trained optometrist and catching up with his Colorado friends and family.

I was inspired to become an optometrist by my grandmother who told me the story of how getting her first pair of glasses as a teenager changed her life after growing up in foster care. How are you helping patients live their best lives? I try to really listen to each patient, not only to help them with their vision issues but their overall health and well-being. What does providing a transformational eyecare experience mean to you? I try to build a relationship with each patient built on trust so that they know my clinical decisions are based upon their individual best interest. How are you impacting your local community? I strive to set a good example of service. Through the years I have been a Cub Scout leader, a Bible class teacher, and a foster parent. I do my best to promote harmony, equality, and unity in my dealings professionally and personally. Hobbies/Interests: I love all kinds of music, outdoor activities, and time with my children and my pets.

The reason I became an optometrist is: I was originally a pre-vet major, but when my dog passed away, I decided to pursue a healthcare field that was more upbeat and where I could help people in a clean and happy environment. I was sitting in my advisor's office in college trying to figure out what I wanted to do, and my contact lens fell out. She said, "Have you ever considered optometry?" So, I researched it, worked in an OD office one summer during school, and knew that it was the right career for me. My favorite part of helping my patients is: Knowing that I play an important role in their everyday life by providing them with vision solutions to help them at work, at home and at play. Dr. Sweet received her Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Indiana School of Optometry. Following graduation, she worked in ophthalmology settings for seven years where she provided primary care eye exams and post-operative care for cataract surgery. Dr. Sweet is board certified in the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease and is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Indiana Optometric Association. Dr. Sweet and her husband reside in Fishers where they raised their three children. During her free time, she enjoys traveling, exercising and spending time with friends, family and her doodles.
