I absolutely love doing specialty contact lens evaluations – there’s nothing like seeing a patient with poor vision light up once they get their scleral or gas-permeable contact lenses in! Hobbies/Interests: I love traveling, reading, good coffee shops, and spending time with my husband and our five children!

How are you impacting your local community or helping your patients live their best lives? I love being a part of this community and helping it to see better. The smile and satisfaction when I can help someone is very rewarding. Hobbies/Interests: I love to watch football and cheer on the Cowboys and the Crimson Tide with my son Cullen, I love to go to the movies with my daughter Sara Jane, and love traveling with my wife Erin. One of my favorites is to watch Cullen do what he loves, which is to compete on the basketball court.

Dr. Aaditya Ajmani has been in practice serving patients in the Hampton Roads area since the fall of 2004. He received his degree in optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2003 after completing his undergraduate education at the University of Maryland with a B.S. in Biology in 1999. His favorite part of being an optometrist is the relationships he builds in seeing patients and their families year after year and helping them walk through their lives with a little more clarity. In his free time, Dr. Ajmani enjoys attending concerts, hiking, and visiting the National Parks with his wife and dog.

Hobbies/Interests: Lacrosse, fitness/training, video games, and spending time with family & friends.

After graduating from The New England College of Optometry in 1986, and as a raised Massapequan, Dr. David Sausner returned to his hometown to join the family practice. Seeing the changes occurring in optometry he seized the opportunity to advance the practice into a medical optometric model. Dr. Sausner updated the office and continued his education, ultimately receiving licensure for the highest level of optometric medical practice in New York; allowing him to diagnose and treat ocular disease with topical medications. Dr. Sausner was invited to become a laser correction affiliate when laser correction was introduced in 1994 and co-manages both laser correction and cataract surgery. Dr Sausner also has special interests in dry eye diagnosis and treatment and complicated contact lens fittings. His expertise in challenging contact lens fittings has resulted in his participation as a key opinion leader for contact lens manufacturers. Dr. Sausner has been involved with a local optometric society and has served as a leader on their executive board. While the practice continues to expand on the medical side, ‘Dr. David” has not forgotten his roots in optometry and can often be seen helping in the office’s designer optical boutique. In his free time Dr. Sausner enjoys time with his family as well as the waters of the south shore and local golf courses.

Certifications/Awards: Member of Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honors Society; Member of the Indiana Optometric Association and American Optometric Association. How are you impacting your local community or helping your patients live their best lives? I love being able to help our patients see by not only providing glasses but also by managing ocular diseases. Being able to help provide comprehensive eye exams is why I love doing what I do! Hobbies/Interests: Reading, watching scary movies, watching IU basketball, listening to music, and spending time with my husband and family.

I love being able to help my community see better and manage all parts of their ocular health including comprehensive eye health, contact lenses, medical exams, dry eye, and surgical ecomanagement. I’m passionate about providing the best care for my patients to enhance and meet their visual goals. Hobbies/Interests: I enjoy reading, working out, traveling, and spending time with my husband and our pup Riley.
