Undergraduate Education: Howard University, BS; Optometry School: Salus University- Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Professional Achievements and Associations: Graduated with Honors- Cum Laude, Member of American Optometric Association; Member of Pennsylvania Optometric Association, Member of National Optometric Association. My favorite part of being an optometrist: I love educating my patients on proper eye care in order to live their best lives and see the world clearly. I look forward to seeing my patient’s year after year and creating a trusting relationship with them and their families. In my spare time, I enjoy: trying new restaurants, taking trips around the world, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Ashley Baker, OD

About Ashley Baker, OD

Dr. Ashley Baker has a strong passion for eyecare, and her goal of becoming an optometrist was realized after completing over 10 years of field experience in several positions within the optical industry. Born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida, Dr. Baker provides quality eye care services to her community. Dr. Baker completed her Doctor of Optometry degree at Nova Southeastern University. She specializes in pediatric examinations, treatment of dry-eye syndrome, and the fitting of contact lenses, treatment and management of ocular diseases, such as diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and macular degeneration, co-managing ocular surgeries (such as Lasik and cataract removal), and removal of foreign bodies. Dr. Baker believes in giving back to the city that she loves so much. Some of her contributions to the community are giving the gift of sight to children through the Oasis Project which is a foster care program. We also donate pre-loved glasses to our local Lions Club International to be reused for those who can’t afford adequate vision care. Her ultimate goal in small business is paying it forward and making a difference in the lives of local families. Outside the office, Dr. Baker stays very active. Some of the things she enjoys doing is spending quality time outdoors with her husband Viktor soaking up the sun at the beach and coaching baseball with her sons Jensen, Brooks, and baby Baylor.

John Mcgough, OD

Bachelor of Science Degree from Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe, Louisiana. Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry. Experience: Began East Texas Vision Center in the Westwood Shopping Center (1984 – January 2024). Dr. McGough and Dr. Douglas acquired TSO of Tyler (2000 – present). Accreditations: Therapeutic Optometrists experienced in the direct care of visual assessment, contact lens fitting, eye trauma, eye disease, and surgical procedures such as cataracts and LASIK. Member of the Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. Served on the board of the Prevent Blindness Organization in Tyler, Texas.

Jeffrey Fardink, OD

About Jeffrey Fardink, OD

Dr. Fardink received a degree in chemistry from Princeton University and then graduated from The Ohio State University College of Optometry. Dr. Fardink focuses on specialty contacts, including scleral lenses and corneal (rigid) gas permeable lenses. He completed an advanced rotation with honors at the Case Western Reserve University Department of Ophthalmology, where he fit specialty contact lenses onto cornea transplant patients. He also completed an ocular disease rotation at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center, where he treated glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and other ocular disorders. While an optometry student, Dr. Fardink co-founded OSU’s Contact Lens Advancement Society, of which he was also president, and served as vice president of OSU’s Private Practice Club. He is a former volunteer EMT and lead guitar player for The Band Keratopathy (an all optometry rock band). He lives with his wife, Christina, and their son, Emmett.

Jennifer Tran, OD

Dr. Jennifer Tran has devoted her career to enhancing her patients’ vision and eye health. Her passion for eye care began early in life. She studied Biochemistry with a minor in Chemistry at the University of Washington, then earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University. Dr. Tran advanced her expertise by completing a residency in primary care at the Veteran Affairs Hospital in Reno, NV. Committed to providing top-notch eye care, she earned her fellowship from the American Academy of Optometry in 2010. With over 15 years of experience, Dr. Tran is highly regarded for her precise attention to detail and compassionate care. Beyond her practice, she is an active member of the American Optometric Association and volunteers her skills for vision screenings in underserved communities. Her dedication to optometric care, combined with her friendly demeanor, has made her a cherished figure among both patients and colleagues.

Sahar Zelkha, OD

About Sahar Zelkha, OD

Undergraduate Education: Simmons College Optometry School: Western University of Health Sciences Certifications/Awards: Certified in Dry Eye Hobbies/Interests: Dr. Zelkha was born in Iran and raised in Brookline, MA. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Simmons College, Boston, and earned her Doctorate of Optometry from Western University of Health Sciences, College of Optometry. Dr. Zelkha's clinical training spans various settings, including primary eye care in a high-volume ophthalmology practice in Encino, CA, private practices throughout Southern California, a free outpatient clinic in Pacoima, CA, and specialized behavioral optometry with NeuroVision Rehabilitation and Vision Therapy in Valencia, CA. She has extensive training in ocular disease, pediatrics, geriatrics, specialty contact lenses, and pre- and post-operative co-management for LASIK and cataract surgery patients. Dr. Zelkha takes great pride in providing high-quality eye care to all her patients. Before joining MyEyeDr, she was the sole optometrist in a multi-specialty ophthalmology practice in Brookline, MA, where she gained significant experience in diagnosing, treating, and co-managing ocular diseases. Outside her professional commitments, Dr. Zelkha enjoys culinary arts, traveling, and cherishing moments with family and friends.
