I work closely with local ophthalmologists to make the most appropriate and comprehensive care available to the person in my exam chair. My patients’ vision and overall health is my passion and I do not take for granted that they choose me for their eye care needs. Hobbies/Interests: Raising my 4 daughters, woodworking, and traveling.

The reason I became an optometrist is: I needed glasses at a young age and I always enjoyed going to my optometrist. He was very good at explaining all of tests and why they were needed. He made me feel comfortable and I thought that I could see myself doing the same thing. I absolutely love what I do and have never regretted my decision. My favorite part of helping my patients is: Getting to experience the moment when a person gets a new prescription or their first prescription and seeing their reaction to the improvement in their vision. In my spare time, I enjoy: Spending time with my family, playing board games, and enjoying a good book (with actual pages)!

The reason I became an optometrist is: I was encouraged by my Optometrist: Dr. Andy Ishak. I have enjoyed working with him in my hometown over the years since I graduated. My favorite part of helping my patients is: Sharing their joy when they realize they can see the world better. I enjoy problem solving for the unique vision needs of each patient. In my spare time I enjoy family time, kayaking, hiking, reading, and gardening.

My childhood optometrist made a big impact in my life by helping me to see and function well in school and for my activities outside of school. I know that without his help, I would have struggled in both areas. My favorite part of helping my patients is knowing that their life was made a little bit easier by my helping them see and use their vision to the best of their ability. In my spare time, I enjoy biking, hiking, gardening, canoeing, snow skiing and spending time with friends and family.
