Professional Achievements and Associations: American Optometric Association. Clinical Certifications and Specialties: Multifocal contact lens fittings. The reason I became an optometrist is: I was fit with contact lenses at 14 and I loved the confidence it gave me. I was a shy teenager and wearing contacts allowed me to come out from hiding beyond glasses. This experience made me want to learn everything I could about helping people see better. I then became fascinated with optometry. My favorite part of helping my patients is: Seeing the difference that improving vision has helped better my patient’s lifestyles. I really enjoy helping my community and I enjoy sharing the updated technology in eyecare. I absolutely love my job and continue to help families I have been seeing for years. In my spare time, I enjoy: Spending time with my husband and two children. I love traveling and I am always looking for a good book and an amazing slice of pizza (New York raised).
