I was taking a careers elective in high school and was able to shadow a local optometrist for the day. I was hooked from then on. I enjoyed the interaction with people plus the joy it brings people to see their very best for sometimes the first time. My favorite part of helping my patients is: Seeing them back year after year and the relationship that is built over time. I have seen children grow up and new additions to families and giving them their best sight brings a lot of joy for me. In my spare time, I enjoy: I have two daughters ,8 and 6, and we enjoy time together bike riding, hiking, and swimming. I also enjoy quality time with my family and close friends.
