Lens Types for Better Sight

  • Pair of black framed glasses on white background

    Single Vision

These lenses have the same prescription across the whole lens, and are ideal for correcting near or farsightedness.

  • Pair of brown framed glasses on white background

    Progressive

Providing a more natural vision than bifocals, progessive lenses have a seamless progression from distance, intermediate (computer distance) and reading sections without lines.

  • Pair of blue framed glasses on white background

    Bifocal

Bifocal lenses have both distance and reading sections, which are divided by a visible line.

  • Pair of black framed glasses on white background

    Trifocal

With three distinct sections and noticeable lines, these lenses provide distance, intermediate and reading vision.

  • Pair of brown framed glasses on white background

    Computer Lenses

These are a great solution for tired eyes, neck and back pain, eyestrain and headaches that result of computer use.

  • Pair of blue framed glasses on white background

    Anti-fatigue

Designed for younger computer users, anti-fatigue lenses provide a "power boost" area in the lower portion of the lens for when you're doing near-vision work.

  • Pair of black framed glasses on white background

    Computer progressive

An excellent second pair to complement a primary pair of progressive lenses, computer progressives are designed for mature progressive wearers who use computers often.

Eyeglass Lens Material to Suit Your Frame Style Needs

  • Polycarbonate – The lens material of choice, polycarbonate is light and strong, as well as impact and scratch resistant.
  • Thin&Lite – MyEyeDr. practices offer varying levels of Thin&Lite lenses, such as 1.67 (for comfort and style) and 1.74 (maximum aesthetics for stronger prescriptions).
  • No-glare coating – This coating helps to eliminate the reflections of oncoming lights at night, computer glare and sun glare. MyEyeDr. practices carry several varieties of no-glare coating to suit every lens choice.
  • Blue light filter – Protect your eyes from light projected from computer, phone, tablet and TV screens.
  • Transitions – This is a lens treatment that automatically adjusts to sunlight levels by transitioning from clear to dark when outside.
