Undergraduate Education: Brigham Young University; B.S. in Business Finance. Optometry School: Southern College of Optometry; Graduated 2002. Professional Achievements and Associations: American Optometric Association; Henderson County Board of Health Member. Clinical Certifications and Specialties: Training in Scleral Contact Lens Fitting. The reason I became an optometrist is: I come from a family of Optometrists. We have 3 generations of family in eye care. There have been 7 Poole Optometrists and 1 Poole that is training to be an Ophthalmologist. Having good vision improves every aspect of our lives. I love what I do. My favorite part of helping my patients is: Solving vision problems to help them live better lives. In my spare time, I enjoy: Backpacking, camping, mountain biking, and traveling.

How I am impacting my local community and helping patients live their best lives: For the past 35 years I have been providing the greater Miramar community with comprehensive eye examinations for adults and children, diabetic eye exams, contact lens evaluations, binocular vision dysfunction assessments and ocular disease management. Hobbies/Interests: Golf, pickleball, reading, travel.

Dr. Julie Poteet received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Georgia and her Doctor of Optometry degree from The New England College of Optometry. Upon completion of her residency with the Brockton and West Rosbury VA Medical Centers in Massachusetts, she worked with one of Harvard’s top ophthalmology professors in private practice in Peabody, Massachusetts. After returning to GA, Dr. Poteet has worked in private practice in the Acworth area and completed a Masters of Science in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine. Pediatric Vision care is also a passion of Dr. Poteet’s as she believes in the value of treating the whole child and removing any barriers that prevent them from achieving their fullest academic potential. Dr. Poteet is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Georgia Optometric Association. She currently serves as the Vice President of the Ocular Wellness and Nutrition Society.

The reason I became an optometrist is: To take a love for science and health and translate it through patient care to help improve people's lives and contribute to my community. My favorite part of helping my patients is: Helping patients understand their ocular conditions and the importance of eye health so that they can have a lifetime of good vision. In my spare time, I enjoy: Spending time with my family (two children), writing, vegan baking, playing piano.

Dr. Allison Price is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station. She received her Doctor of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry where she graduated in the top 10% of her class. She is a licensed Therapeutic Optometrist in the State of Texas and a Optometric Glaucoma Specialists. In addition, she is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Texas Optometric Association, Arlington Kappa Alpha Theta Alumni Association, Arlington Junior League, and an active member of First United Methodist Church of Arlington. Dr. Price did her externship in Plano, TX and Morrow, GA where she gained experience in the diagnosis and management of ocular diseases such as cataracts, diabetes, and macular degeneration. Drs. Daniel and Allison are the proud parents of two beautiful children.

Dr. Daniel Price attended the University of Georgia where he received his degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He received his Doctor of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. He is licensed as a Therapeutic Optometrist and a Optometric Glaucoma Specialists, and belongs to the American Optometric Association and Texas Optometric Association. Dr. Price is also an active member of First United Methodist Church of Arlington. His specialty is contact lenses and ocular disease due to the extensive training on his externs in Marietta and Morrow, Georgia. Drs. Daniel and Allison Price are the proud parents of two beautiful children.

Being able to help people improve their quality of life by enhancing and protecting their sight. How are you impacting your local community? Being available to serve my community by being available for emergency visits, red eye visits as well as routine eye care. Dr. Catherine Pusateri graduated magna cum laude from the University of Scranton in 2021 earning her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science. She went on to graduate with a Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2025. Throughout her clinical training, she completed externships in ocular disease, contact lens, and pediatric clinics, including a rotation at the Providence Veterans Affairs Medical Center in RI. On her externships she developed significant expertise in the diagnosis and management of conditions such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration. Her clinical excellence was recognized with honors during her externship rotations. Dr. Pusateri is passionate about both medical and routine eye care, and takes particular interest in building lasting relationships with her patients. She is a member of the American Optometric Association. Outside of her profession, she enjoys spending time outdoors and participating in group fitness classes. She is excited to begin this next chapter of her life as a new resident of Louisville.

Undergraduate Education: Augustana College. Optometry School: Illinois College of Optometry. How are you impacting your local community or helping your patients live their best lives? We provide eyecare and eyeglasses to children in need in the community through the school district and have been a longstanding neighborhood practice including seeing Northwestern University student athletes. Hobbies/Interests: I love spending as much time outdoors during the warmer months with my two little kids bike riding and gardening (them digging in the dirt) and taking pictures of our adventures.

I attended medical school at Dow Medical college in Pakistan with clinical honors and then went for my second doctorate degree at an accelerated doctor of optometry program ( MD/OD) at New England college of optometry in Boston , MA. This program was designed specially for foreign trained physicians ( MDs) . I’m extremely thankful to God that I got accepted in this highly competitive accelerated program in which only 7 physicians were selected from all over the world !!! I finished all my internships in Boston with clinical honors . I had the privilege of getting trained by some of the best and well known doctors from both Harvard Medical school as well as MIT professors . Later , I went for more advanced training in eye surgeries at North Eastern state university in Oklahoma . I love treating ocular diseases and performing eye surgeries . My passion lies in being accessible to my patients and making them feel comfortable and at ease when they come see their primary eyecare provider. With my knowledge and training in internal medicine and general surgery, I feel I have that advantage of seeing the big picture and treating eye pathologies through the systemic disease approach . Patients love the fact that their doctor 👩🏻‍⚕️ has a dual doctorate degree 😊 In my spare time , I love jogging , running , doing yoga and traveling . Some of my favorite travel destinations have been Paris , Switzerland , Egypt , Dubai , Spain , Portugal etc. I am also big on giving back to the community and am part of chamber of commerce in Youngsville , LA . I also graduated from their leadership program Dec, 2024. I started my YouTube educational channel when patients asked me to make one for them since they wanted to get information from their own doctor instead of going on random sites . Since then , I have both national as well as international audience . I also am part of a blogging page called “ Find a top doc” where I answer patient questions related to their eye problems and eye diseases.
