Dr. Amanda Bloomberg grew up in Cypress, TX. After graduating from Langham Creek High School, she attended Texas A&M University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2012. Dr. Bloomberg then went on to receive her doctorate from the University of Houston College of Optometry. She finished optometry school with honors in May 2016 licensed as a Therapeutic Optometrist and Glaucoma Optometric Specialist. Dr. Bloomberg enjoys relaxing with family and friends, watching Aggie sports, camping, and traveling. She is excited to return to the Bryan/College Station area with her husband to serve its citizens.

Dr. Jacqueline “Jacquie” Bowen grew up in Helena, Montana, and attended the University of Sioux Falls in Sioux Falls, SD. She became an eye doctor upon graduating in 1992 from Southern California College of Optometry and completed her residency in Ocular Disease at Omni Eye Specialists in Denver. Following her residency in 1993 she purchased an optometry practice in Greeley, which developed into the current See Life Family Vision, now partnered with MyEyeDr. Dr. Bowen proudly served on the Colorado Optometric Association Board of Trustees for 7 years, holding the office of President during 2003-04, and she currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the American Optometric Association, the fourth Coloradoan in the organization’s 100+ year history to do so. Dr. Bowen is anticipating her AOA Presidency in 2025. Dr. Bowen was honored as Colorado’s Young Optometrist of the Year in 2000, and as Colorado’s Optometrist of the Year for 2012. She has maintained Fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry since 1995. In 2013 Dr. she became one of the first optometrists in Colorado to become Board Certified bt the American Board of Optometry. Her hobbies & activities include church involvement, several philanthropic organizations in the community, and involvement in the Greeley arts community. She and her husband have been singing members of the Greeley Chorale since 1993. They are proud parents of two adult sons and enjoy time with family through music, skiing, walking, and traveling, especially to the ocean!

Dr. John Bowen is from Sulphur Springs, Texas. He received his B.S. degree at the University of Houston and doctorate from the University of Houston College of Optometry. He completed an internship at the Orlando Eye Foundation where great emphasis was placed on ocular disease and pre- & post-op care of LASER surgery and cataract patients. He is also certified as a Optometric Glaucoma Specialist by the Texas Board of Optometry. Dr. Bowen and his wife have owed a private practice in Flower Mound since 1998 and he enjoys fitting specialty contact lenses, treating eye diseases, working with low vision patients, and training patients with binocularity disorders. His hobbies include sailing, camping, and spending time with his wife and 2 grown sons.

Dr. Lisa Bowen grew up in both Houston, Texas and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She obtained her B.S. from the University of Houston and later completed her doctorate at the University of Houston College of Optometry. She has received special training in pediatric developmental optometry with Dr. Jerome Rosner. She also completed an internship at the Orlando Eye Foundation focusing on ocular disease. She and her husband have owed a private practice in Flower Mound since 1998 where she has enjoyed getting to know her patients over the years. Dr. Bowen enjoys primary care, pediatrics, and treatment of eye diseases. She is certified by the Texas Board of Optometry as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. Her interests include spending time with her husband and 2 grown sons and camping.

The reason I became an optometrist is: Because when I was younger my dad was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and the diagnosis was initiated by his optometrist. That's when I realized that optometry is more than glasses and contacts. My favorite part of helping my patients is: Finding the best solution for their visual needs. In my spare time, I enjoy: Spending time with my family and friends, hiking/being outdoors with my goldendoodle, Gryff, traveling domestically and internationally, and attending sporting events- specifically cheering on the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta Braves, and all Georgia Southern athletics.

About Clayton Boyd, OD

Clayton Tyler Boyd, OD, joined the team in August 2023 as a VEH Doctor. He brings with him an impressive experience in the field of optometry as he has also worked closely with a multitude of innovative companies both in the USA and overseas. For many of these companies, he has served as a Lead Optometrist. He is an Oklahoma native. He obtained dual degrees in Biology and Chemistry from Oklahoma Panhandle State University in 2011, graduating summa cum laude, then his Doctorate of Optometry at Northeastern University of Oklahoma College of Optometry in 2015, where he was awarded the J. Pat Cummings Fellow scholarship, as well as the Outstanding Clinician award. Currently, he lives in the panhandle of Oklahoma but works in rural practices in Colorado and Nebraska, among others, where he cares for patients who travel from several hours away. He remains excited to bring his vast experience and knowledge to our patients, as he embarks on this journey in his career while utilizing all the wonderful technological advancements that continue to be cultivated. In addition to exploring new eyecare technology, Tyler spends his time hunting, learning more about leatherworking, and woodworking, and playing yard games with his wife and four kids. Dr. Boyd remains excited to bring his vast optometry experience and knowledge to our patients.
