Undergraduate Education: UNC- Chapel Hill - Bachelor of Science in Biology with Minor in Chemistry; Optometry School: Nova Southeastern University; The reason I became an optometrist is because I always considered having a career in healthcare, but I ultimately chose optometry due to enjoying going to my own eye appointments throughout my lifetime. It is great not having shots or high pitch drills at an optometrist’s office! I strive to provide quality eye care to patients as other optometrists have done for me. My favorite part of helping my patients is seeing the smiles and appreciation on my patient's face even with a mask on. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, discovering new food, cooking, scenic walks, and spending time with friends and family.

Undergraduate Education: Bachelor of Science in Food, Agricultural, and Biological Engineering at The Ohio State University. Optometry School: The Ohio State University College of Optometry. How are you impacting your local community or helping your patients live their best lives? I am helping my patients live their best lives by providing comprehensive eye exams and educating them about their eye health. I like to ensure that I find the best prescription that suits their lifestyle and needs while monitoring for common eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetic eye disease. Hobbies/Interests: Playing volleyball, playing piano/guitar, video games, cooking, exploring new cuisines and cultures.

Undergraduate Education: University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Optometry School: Southern College of Optometry, Memphis Tennessee. How are you impacting your local community or helping your patients live their best lives? Providing comprehensive eye exams for adults and children (5 and over), diabetic eye exams, contact lens fitting, and diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease. Hobbies/interests: Hiking, fishing, bird watching, cooking, beach trips.

Dr. Edward Ling is from Brooklyn, New York. He earned his Bachelor's degree from New York University in 1990. Dr. Ling attended graduate school for Molecular Biology and received his Doctorate's degree in Optometry from Nova Southeastern University in 1997. Dr. Ling is a Florida Board Certified Optometric Physician and has been practicing in the Daytona Beach area for over 20 years. Dr. Ling lives in Port Orange with his wife and three children. When not practicing Optometry, Dr. Ling enjoys tennis, photography, biking, and spending time with his family.

Dr. Lione has been providing top quality eyecare in Northern Virginia for over 20 years. Her passion lies in medical optometry and specialty contact lenses, specifically multi-focal contacts (for the over 40 crowd) and orthokeratology, a custom contact lens worn at night to control the progression of myopia in children and teens. Dr. Lione is honored to have been recognized by her patients and Loudoun Times Mirror as the “Best Eye Doctor” in Loudoun County for the past three years. According to Dr. Lione, “I truly enjoy my profession. It is so impactful to help people see their best and as a result, feel their best. I’ve been a part of this community for over 15 years and have loved getting to know my patients, their children, and their neighbors throughout this journey.” Dr. Lione lives in Loudoun County with her husband, children, and family dog. She enjoys attending her kid’s sporting events, staying in shape, and traveling.

Dr. Liss attended the University of Iowa where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Physiology and a minor in Aging and Longevity Studies. She then received her Doctorate in Optometry from the University of Missouri - St. Louis College of Optometry. On externships, she was trained to diagnose, treat and manage ocular diseases, such as diabetes, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. Additionally, she received training in dry eye and contact lens. During her education, she attended Alcon’s Academy for Academic Excellence program in Fort Worth, TX and CooperVision Brilliant Future Graduate program in Chicago, IL. Upon graduation, she received awards for Clinical Excellence in Contact Lens and the Practice Excellence Scholarship. Dr. Liss is also a member of Beta Sigma Kappa, the International Optometric Honor Society. Dr. Liss is a licensed Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. She is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA). Dr. Liss is originally from a small town in Iowa. She moved down to Texas after graduation and enjoys baking, spending time outside, and traveling to new places.

Dr. Loe was born and raised in Casper, Wyoming. He is the son of an optometrist, which is where his passion for optometry began. He attended the University of Wyoming and graduated with a bachelor’s in Physiology. He moved to Phoenix in 2014 to pursue his Doctor of Optometry degree, where he focused on ocular disease and specialty contact lenses on his external rotations. Dr. Loe had great clinical experience at the following external rotation sites: Arizona Eye Institute (Phoenix, AZ); Fort Defiance Indian Health Hospital (Fort Defiance, AZ); Pinecone Vision Center (Sartell, Minnesota); Nationwide Medical Referral Center (Mesa, AZ). Dr. Loe is a member and on the board of directors for the Arizona Optometric Association. He, his wife, and their dog call the North Valley home. Dr. Loe has a passion for patient care and patient education. He enjoys the outdoors, golfing, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.

How are you impacting your local community or helping your patients live their best lives? By focusing on my patients’ needs and concerns, I can provide a standard of care that is uniquely catered to them. With this positive impact, patients have more of an opportunity to enjoy the wonders of life. Hobbies/Interests: Rollercoaster enthusiast; Community volunteering.

Undergrad education: Drake University - Bachelor's in Clinical and Applied Science - 2018; Optometry school: The Ohio State University College of Optometry - 2023; Residency: The Columbus/Chillicothe VAs - 2024. Dr. Lombardi first showed an interest in optometry at an early age, having decided he wanted to be a doctor and having gotten his first pair of glasses in 2nd grade. While at Drake he ran track while also working on his bachelor's and did his senior capstone project on vision screenings in daycares, kindergartens, and elementary schools. He went on to start optometry school after a year of working as an ophthalmic technician. After completing school, he started a residency in ocular disease with a minor focus on low vision. As a young, VA trained optometrist, he is striving to utilize the skills he acquired during his disease residency to the absolute highest level and to advocate for the highest scope possible in the profession. He also intends to give his patients the best quality healthcare he is capable of by constantly learning about the advancements and innovations being made and apply them to his clinical skills and practice.

The reason I became an optometrist is: I am very myopic and as a teenager contact lenses really improved my life. My favorite part of helping my patients is: helping them to live their best lives. In my spare time, I enjoy: Traveling/biking/painting/spending time with my family.

I enjoy seeing adults and children of all ages and abilities. I specialize in primary eye care, including exams for contact lens fittings, diabetic eye exam, and dry eye disease management. I enjoy seeing adults and children with special needs. Hobbies/Interests: Singing, Road Cycling, and spending time with my family.

I strive to provide each and every patient with a thorough eye exam to make sure they are seeing their very best- because when you see your best, you do your best! I care for patients by of course prescribing glasses and contacts, as well as providing diabetic eye exams, evaluating binocular vision concerns, and managing and treating ocular disease. Hobbies/Interests: Running, hiking, reading, playing pickleball, and spending time with my husband and family

Dr. Robert E. Luckey is a board-certified optometric physician. He is a proud graduate of Nova Southeastern University (Class of 2002) and has practiced in both a large ophthalmology practice and private optometry practice. Dr. Luckey's experience includes two externships in ocular disease at large ophthalmology practices. Dr. Luckey is an active member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), the Florida Optometric Association (FOA), and the former president of the Hillsborough Society of Optometrists (HSO). Dr. Luckey is married and has two wonderful children. He enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, biking (bikes and motorcycles), kayaking, and traveling. Before Dr. Luckey's optometric physician career, he served in the U.S. Military for fourteen years. He began his military career as a Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical Warfare Specialist and continued in his career as a combat/flight medic.
