Graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in biology from the University of Maryland in 1982 (Phi Beta Kappa in 1980). Graduated from the University of Houston Optometry School in 1987 (O.D. degree) and won three individual awards: Outstanding Fourth Year Clinician Silor Optical Award of Excellence Outstanding Pediatric Clinician I have been a full time optometrist since 1987 and love working daily with all types of patients. I was voted "Best Optometrist" in the Maryland Gazette several times. I have worked as an adjunct professor for the University of Houston Optometry School (training fourth year optometry students). My hobbies include: Pickleball, tennis, and gym workouts.

I’m Yuchi Hsu, an optometrist with a Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (graduated in 2024). I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where I developed a deep interest in vision care and patient relationships. Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and a proud holder of the National Board of Examiners in Optometry certification, I am dedicated to providing comprehensive eye care. My favorite part of being an optometrist is the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with my patients—each interaction teaches me something new and allows me to grow both personally and professionally. When I’m not in the office, I enjoy exploring the great outdoors, trying new things, and experimenting in the kitchen. I believe in the power of continuous learning and look forward to what each day brings.

By providing full scope comprehensive eye exams for all ages and walks of life. By managing ocular disease and systemic ocular complications. Dr. Blake Hughes is a dedicated optometrist practicing at MyEyeDr. in Hurst, Texas. With a deep passion for patient care and a love for the challenging environment of the medical field, Dr. Hughes chose optometry to fulfill his desire to help people and make a difference in their lives. He recognizes the precious gift of sight and takes pride in assisting his patients achieve optimal vision. Dr. Hughes feels immensely blessed to be able to pursue his passion while also prioritizing quality time with his family. Dr. Hughes obtained his Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry in Houston, Texas, in 2006. Prior to that, he completed his Bachelor of Science (BS) degree at Abilene Christian University in 2002. He is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA) and the Texas Optometric Association (TOA). Dr. Hughes’ exceptional patient care earned him multiple Clinical Letters of Excellence, and he was honored with the prestigious Gold Key Award for outstanding leadership. When he's not practicing optometry, Dr. Hughes cherishes the moments spent with his wife and their five children. He enjoys playing golf, traveling, cheering for the Texas Rangers baseball team, and attending church. Dr. Hughes considers it a great honor to serve the community where he grew up. His expertise ranges from the treatment and management of eye diseases, such as glaucoma and macular degeneration, to sports vision exams.

r. Zachery Hulet is a rather new and eager primary care optometrist who enjoys seeing patients of all ages. He attended Ferris State University where he received his Bachelor of Biology. He then continued my education at the Illinois College of Optometry where he received his Doctor of Optometry. During his time at ICO, he tutored courses for classes below him. His favorite were the Optometry courses during which he taught students to perform skills used in the exam lanes. He is comfortable in managing ocular disease as well as fitting soft contact lenses including single vision, toric, multifocal, and monovision formats. He grew up on the west side of Michigan and He am happy to be back treating patients here. When he is not seeing patients, he enjoys exploring the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and spending time with my family.

Dr. Paul Hulse is a native of Fort Collins, Colorado. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Northern Colorado and Pacific University. Dr. Hulse then went on to obtain his doctorate of Optometry from Pacific University. Dr. Hulse interned at Indian Health Services in Yakima, Washington where he managed many patients with diabetic eye disease. He also interned at two practices focusing on management of vision problems after brain injury, pediatrics, and vision therapy. In pursuit of his passion, Dr. Paul Hulse completed a residency in vision rehabilitation at the State University of New York where he worked extensively with pediatric patients in the management of visual tracking and teaming disorders focusing on improving reading and school performance. He also worked with traumatic brain injury patients on problems ranging from double vision, visual field cuts, and motion hypersensitivity. Upon returning to Colorado Dr. Hulse obtained hospital privileges at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital and the Northern Colorado Rehabilitation Hospital where he continued his work with traumatic brain injury patients. Dr. Hulse has published articles on brain injury as well as presenting a continuing education course to his optometric peers. Paul enjoys spending time with his wife and two children as well as rock climbing, biking, hiking, camping, and skiing.

I graduated from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer engineering. After graduation I joined the engineering department of a Fortune 100 company and began working in the area of data and voice communications. I returned to school in 1988 and received a doctorate in optometry from the prestigious Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee where I was named president of the National Optometric Honor Society for three years. I received additional training at Bethesda Naval Hospital in Maryland and Walter Reed Medial Center in Washington, D.C. I am trained in advanced laser and surgical procedures of the eye. I am married and have four grown children. When not at the office I enjoy spending time with my wife, Sandra. I also enjoy trout fishing on the White River.

I know what it is like not to see. I truly enjoy educating patients on how to see their best. In 1999, I had LASIK and have never looked back. How are you helping patients live their best lives? As a dry eye sufferer and successful LASIK patient, I guide patients to the best treatments specific for their individual needs. What does providing a transformational eyecare experience mean to you? I look to exceed patients' expectations by fulfilling their needs and educating them on the best treatment choices individualized for them. How are you impacting your local community? I'm assistant basketball cat herder/ coach. I love helping people make better lifestyle choices and supporting local charities. Hobbies/Interests: Family, Scuba Diving, Football, Rugby and Soccer.

Dr Iafigliola (eye fee ola) has been practicing for approximately 28 years after graduating from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1997. She is a member of Tomb and Key Honor fraternity, and a member of the AOA. She began her career in the residency program for the Illinois Eye Institute in Primary Care with an emphasis in ocular disease. After completing her residency, she has worked in private practice, corporate practice, and a hybrid practice. Dr Iafigliola currently is seeing patients in the Grayslake location, since 2008, and with MyEyeDr. since 2016. She has experience in multi-unit leadership after serving as a clinical field director for Illinois and Wisconsin. In December 2023 she returned to clinical care full -time. She practices 5 days a week focusing on a full- scope practice with a large contact lens patient base and a dry eye clinic. While performing her clinical duties as an optometrist, she also supports doctors on their clinical journey as a clinical captain for multiple practices within MyEyeDr. Besides working with the new onboarding doctors, she also hosts interns for the Illinois College of Optometry. Her latest opportunity will be involved in social media education with MyEyeDr. Outside the lane, she speaks as a clinical expert for Bausch & Lomb. Her hobbies include gardening, cooking her family recipes, and of course, spending time with her family and her boys, being the center of her world, ages 20 and 23. She also has 2 fur-babies, Dolce and Cherie, which complete her family unit. ————————— Fun fact you may not know about me: Dr Iafigliola began wearing glasses at the young age of 15 months old and her first contact lens experience age 13, which changed her life and paved the way for her future career dedicating her life to helping others in the same way she was supported with her visual needs, a pay it forward opportunity, full-circle experience.

The reason I became an optometrist is: I find caring for patients’ vision needs exciting and thought-provoking. I was encouraged to pursue a career in optometry by my mother who was an ophthalmologist. My favorite part of helping my patients is: Getting to address each patient's unique visual needs based on their own work and school needs, hobbies, and other lifestyle-related visual demands. I also enjoy exploring God's wisdom in the way He designed the human eye and the visual system. In my spare time, I enjoy: Spending time with family; Being outdoors; Relaxing.
