Helping individuals of all ages preserve and improve their sight has been extremely rewarding. I hope to continue to give back to the community by being at the forefront of their visual health. Hobbies/Interests: Tennis, music, and spending time with my family and friends.

Dr. Arndt earned his degree in optometry at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, a school known for its focus on state-of-the-art technologies. He was raised in Hampton and attended Old Dominion University where he studied civil engineering. He credits this training for his love of measuring and mapping the eye with precision when diagnosing and treating his patients. He is passionate about bringing advanced technologies and treatments to his practice. Dr. Arndt is an active supporter of Optometry Giving Sight and enjoys spending time with his wife and three grown children.

The reason I became an optometrist is: To help to enhance people’s lives through their vision. In my spare time, I enjoy: Traveling, reading, and cooking.

The reason I became an optometrist is: It sounds simple, but the noticeable improvement in my personal vision when I got glasses as a kid really stuck with me. Another one of my best memories was getting fitted into contact lenses when I was 13 years old and being able to see clearly again without having to wear glasses to play football and baseball. I wanted to be able to give that same experience to kids and adults alike. My favorite part of helping my patients is: I love seeing the joy on patient's faces when they put their new prescription glasses on, or put their contacts in, and they can see the world again clearly. I also truly enjoy seeing patient’s year after year and getting to know them and their families. In my spare time, I enjoy: Watching football, playing sports with my 2 kids, golfing, taking vacations to the mountains and hiking, and playing retro video games from the 1990's.

Professional Achievements and Associations Member of the American Optometric Association; Member of the Indiana Optometric Association; Awarded Ossip Optometry's Doctor of the Year in 2017. Clinical Certifications and Specialties: I enjoy treating glaucoma and fitting specialty contact lenses. The reason I became an optometrist is: I want to help people. I always wanted to go into the medical field, and optometry was the perfect field for me. My favorite part of helping my patients is: I love it when I can change someone's life by helping them to see better. I also enjoy getting to know my patients and developing lifelong relationships with them over the years. In my spare time, I enjoy: I love volleyball. I played in college and Optometry school. I also enjoy spending time with my 2 kids and attending their soccer games. My husband and I love taking trips, especially where we get to hike and be outdoors. Our favorite vacation spot to date is Banff, Canada.

Dr. J. David Aycock has been an Optometrist for over thirty years. He graduated from The Southern College of Optometry in 1994 with his Bachelor's Degree in Science and his Doctorate of Optometry. He has been a part of Aycock Eye Associates, with his father, since 1994. Dr. Aycock and his wife, Courtnay, share two children; daughter Jessica, son-in-law Jordan, grandson Parker and son, Tyler.

The reason I became an optometrist is: Watching my sister struggle to read due to a vision issue made me aware of the impact good vision can have on a person's life. I want to be able to help people reach their full potential by helping them have the best vision possible. My favorite part of helping my patients is: Helping them enjoy life through good vision. In my spare time, I enjoy: Reading, knitting, and my dogs and cats.

Dr. Azaleea, a highly skilled optometrist and dry eye specialist, was born in Romania and immigrated to the United States at the age of seven. She graduated from the University of California - Davis with a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences and a minor in Italian. Dr. Azaleea earned her doctorate in optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2018. During her time at ICO, Dr. Azaleea trained in various practice settings, with a strong focus on medical optometry. She received high-level medical optometry training at the Hershel Williams VA, where she gained extensive experience in managing complex eye conditions. She also completed clinical rotations at the Illinois Eye Institute, Rosenbloom Center on Vision and Aging, and Cascade Vision Center. Her training at the Rosenbloom Center on Vision and Aging and Cascade Vision Center puts her in a unique position to care for the aging population and manage age-related eye conditions, such as cataract surgery, dry eyes, glaucoma, diabetes, and age-related macular degeneration. Through her studies, Dr. Azaleea developed a passion for specialty contact lenses, dry eye treatment, and ocular disease management. She is committed to providing comprehensive and individualized eye care to all her patients. Dr. Azaleea is also actively involved in myopia management, working at a state-of-the-art myopia control clinic that utilizes the latest technologies to protect and enhance the vision of young patients. Residing in Chicago, Dr. Azaleea enjoys spending her free time outdoors, exploring different parks around the city, discovering new coffee shops, and trying new restaurants. She also enjoys relaxing at home with her two cats, Luna and Ollivander.

In my spare time, I enjoy traveling with my wife and spending time with family and friends. In addition, my wife and I have been the proud owners of Lupo's Italian Steakhouse for the past 14 years. My favorite part of helping my patients is improving their quality of life and relating to them on a personal level.
