Hobbies/Interests include cycling, music, traveling, playing tennis and other outdoor sports.

Certifications/Awards: Residency (Vision Therapy and Neuro-rehabilitation) – SUNY College of Optometry and Certification in Binocular Vision and Vision Therapy. Hobbies/Interests: Reading, dancing, exploring cities, and trying new food.

Originally from Toronto, Ontario, Dr. Bayat graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Queen’s University before earning her Doctorate in Optometry from the New England College of Optometry in Boston. Dr. Niki Bayat specializes in primary care, pediatric eye care, and ocular disease management. Her clinical experience spans various settings, including VA medical centers, community health centers, and private practice. During her clinical rotations in Massachusetts, Oregon, California, and Florida, she had the privilege of working with diverse patient populations, gaining valuable insights into their unique health needs. In her free time, Dr. Bayat enjoys traveling and spending quality time with family and friends. While Canada will always hold a special place in her heart, she is proud to call Colorado home and looks forward to the adventures ahead!

How are you impacting your local community or helping your patients live their best lives? I am impacting my local community by ensuring people have access to eye-related health care and are aware of ocular diseases that can affect their vision. I am a dedicated and compassionate Optometrist with a passion for enhancing the vision and eye health of patients. Over the past years, I have provided expert eye care, including comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fittings, and the diagnosis and management of various eye conditions. I am committed to improving the quality of life for individuals by ensuring they enjoy clear, healthy, and comfortable vision. I take pride in staying up to date with the latest advancements in optometry to offer the best care possible.

How are you impacting your local community or helping your patients live their best lives? I enjoy personalizing my patients’ experience by listening to the patients and learning what is most important for them to be able to address their needs to improve their vision and their lives. I welcome patients from young children to the elderly population. Hobbies/Interests: traveling, watching my kids play baseball, spending time with friends.

Undergraduate Education: Southeastern Louisiana University - undergraduate degree in Pre-Medicine with a minor in Psychology. Graduated Magna Cum Laude. Optometry School: University of Alabama at Birmingham – 2009. The reason I became an optometrist is: I always knew that I wanted to be a doctor of some sort, however, I did not feel that surgery was the route I wanted to take. After studying about the brain and its functions in my psychology courses, I fell in love with the eyes. It’s amazing to know what can be detected by just looking into someone eyes. So, this was the perfect fit for me to help people stay healthy. My favorite part of helping my patients is: allowing them to see as best as they possibly can and ensuring that they continue to see that well for many years to come. In my spare time, I enjoy: Reading, exercising, spending time with my family.

In my spare time, I enjoy running, biking, playing the guitar, and writing. My favorite part of helping my patients is seeing the results.

My favorite part of helping my patients is: The expression on their faces when something I have done has helped impact their life in a better way. In my spare time, I enjoy: Running, shopping, traveling and spending time with my daughters.

Member: American Optometric Association (AOA), Texas Optometric Association (TOA), Beta Sigma Kappa (BSK), Student Fellowship with the American Academy of Optometry, Clinical Letters of Excellence in Contact Lenses and Family Care. Dr. Cassie Benedick is a therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist with focused training in pediatrics, orthokeratology and complex contact lens fitting. She trained clinically at Bellaire Family Eyecare where she provided primary eye care to patients of all ages and gained experience in pediatric optometry, vision therapy, and specialty contact lens fittings. Originally from Graham, TX she is happy to be back in North Texas after practicing her first few years out of school in Houston. In her spare time, Dr. Benedick enjoys attending Aggie football games, traveling, spending time outdoors, rooting on our Dallas sports teams with her Husband, Billy, and chasing around her son, Tripp, and daughter, Charlotte.

Clinical Certifications and Specialties: Cooper Vision Clinical Research Investigator, AOA Optometric Recognition Award 1996. The reason I became an optometrist is: to help my patients preserve the precious gift of sight. My favorite part of helping my patients is: Helping my patients see the world around them. In my spare time, I enjoy: Hiking, reading, bridge and family.

By taking the time with each patient to understand their goals with vision and eye health and give them the best possible quality of life within my scope.

I am impacting my local community, where I was born and raised, by serving my former teachers, neighbors and their families, friends, and their families, as well as all the wonderful patients I have gotten to know throughout my career. By providing comprehensive eye exams for adults and children, diabetic eye exams, contact lens fitting, binocular visual dysfunctions, and ocular disease management. listening to patients and helping them get their questions answered and problems with their vision resolved. A thorough eye exam is a valuable gateway to a comprehensive health evaluation. Hobbies/Interests: Golf, Time with family and friends.

Undergraduate Education: Cornell University, BA. Optometry School: Pennsylvania College of Optometry, 2001. Professional Achievements and Associations: American Optometric Association, Virginia Optometric Association. The reason I became an optometrist is: I started wearing glasses in sixth grade and it made such a positive impact for me that I wanted to be able to bring that same experience to other people. My favorite part of helping my patients is: The first time a young person puts on glasses or contacts and says, "Wow!" After twenty years in practice that still gives me a thrill. In my spare time, I enjoy: I like to cook (and eat!) and travel (and eat!) I have 11-year-old twins so "spare time" is not really an accurate term.
