What drives your passion for optometry? I’m still amazed at how some curved pieces of glass and plastic can have such a profound impact on people’s lives. How are you helping patients live their best lives? Optimizing a person’s eyesight provides benefits in everything that person does. What does providing a transformational eyecare experience mean to you? When a person puts on their new glasses, and they have that “Wow” look. There’s no better feeling as an eye is professional. Hobbies/Interests: Tennis, golf, hiking, biking, snowshoeing, travel.

Dr. Lien Vu grew up in Wichita, KS before moving to Houston, TX where she obtained her Bachelors, Masters, and Doctorate degrees from the University of Houston. Dr. Vu is a licensed therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist with a special interest in the treatment of dry eye. In her free time, Dr. Vu enjoys running and baking treats for her family. Dr. Vu is excited to get to know her patients and provide them excellent eye care.

Professional Achievements and Associations: Maryland Optometric Association. The reason I became an optometrist is: Help people have better vision. My favorite part of helping my patients is: Seeing a smile on their faces. In my spare time, I enjoy: Tennis and holdem poker.

Dr. Hieu Vu-Gia earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University in New York City. His interest in eye care led him to the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, where he earned his Doctor of Optometry. Dr. Vu-Gia is a highly trained optometrist with extensive experience in primary eye care, contact lenses, treating and managing eye diseases, and co-management of refractive surgery. He is certified in orthokeratology (a leading option in the control of myopia in children and a non-surgical alternative to refractive surgery) by the manufacturers and designers of several orthokeratology lenses. Dr. Vu-Gia is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Virginia Optometric Association, and the American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control. Dr. Vu-Gia is proud to have pursued his dream of practicing with a tradition of excellence in eye care. Patients enjoy his outgoing personality and caring attitude. He practices in Oakton and is accepting new patients. He currently resides in Northern Virginia with his two children and enjoys golfing.

Dr. Michael Vuong grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2007. He then went on to complete his Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in 2012. Now a Floridian, Dr. Vuong looks forward to addressing your visual needs and eye health concerns.

Dr. Michael Waclawski graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he conducted Glaucoma research and published two papers on his findings. He attended the College of Optometry at the University of Missouri-St. Louis and graduated in 2014. He enjoys traveling with his wife and spending time with his family & friends. Mike is a member of the American and Wisconsin Optometric Associations.

Dr. Stephen Waclawski completed his undergraduate work at the University of Wisconsin and earned his graduate degree at the Illinois College of Optometry in 1980. He takes pride in providing the best eye care to each and every one of his patients, and makes it a point to take a personal interest in all of his patient’s concerns. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time on the lake in the summer, playing piano, and skiing in the winter. He and his wife, Renee, have four sons: Michael (who practices at MyEyeDr. as well), Joe, Stephen, and Paul. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Wisconsin Optometric Associations.

I love seeing patients and making sure they're using their best vision possible! There have also been several patients where routine eye exams have turned into life-saving exams which is the mosst impactful part of the job and which I love the most. Hobbies/Interests: I love spending time with my two kids and husband and traveling. We are also big fans of jigsaw puzzles

By providing great eye care in a professional setting with the latest technology available. What does providing a transformational eyecare experience mean to you? Ensuring the happiness and satisfaction of all patients. How are you impacting your local community? By volunteering at my son's school, my church and in my neighborhood. Hobbies/Interests: I enjoy spending time with family & friends, reading, traveling, snow skiing, watching sports and cheering on my Auburn Tigers!

Dr. Paul Wagner, OD, is an optometrist with over 43 years of experience in the field. He graduated with honors from Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago in 1982. Dr. Wagner is affiliated with no hospital and cooperates with many other doctors and specialists in the medical group Paul Wagner OD PLC. He is known for his expertise in treating various eye conditions and has been practicing in Chandler, AZ, for many years.

I enjoy saving eyes and saving lives! In my spare time, I enjoy In my spare time, I love spending time with my husband and daughter, playing with our cats and dogs, visiting the Carolina seashores and mountains, and baking delicious treats (and eating them of course)! My favorite part of helping my patients is seeing their smiles when they get to see the world in a beautiful new light.

Dr. Adell Walters was born and raised in Florida and earned both her Bachelors and Masters degrees from the University of Florida. She went on to complete her Doctorate of Optometry degree at The Ohio State University, followed by a residency in Ocular Disease at the Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System.  Dr. Walters moved to the Dallas area four years ago and enjoys spending time with her husband, Justin and their cat Luna and dog Buster.

Dr. Steven Wan completed his undergraduate degree at UCLA with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics. While pursuing his degree, he discovered his true passion in Optometry - there’s truly nothing more rewarding than that ‘Aha!’ moment when a patient can see the world clearly! After working a year in a pediatric optometry office as an optometric technician, he went on to graduate with Cum Laude Honors from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2013. He has a special interest in providing phenomenal care while catering to your unique eyecare needs. Dr. Wan has received many distinguished rewards including: • Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society • Beta Sigma Kappa Honors Society • Walman Optical Scholarship • Canela Software Scholarship Dr. Wan and his wife love to travel, order the most adventurous items off the menu, and playing catch in their new house with their Akita-mix Stormy.

The reason I became an optometrist is: I've always wanted to be a doctor to help people. I feel optometry makes a big impact on people's lives by helping them see the best they can to do their daily activities. My favorite part of helping my patients is: Knowing I can help someone function the best they can by improving their eyesight. In my spare time, I enjoy: Reading, painting, drawing, sightseeing, trying new foods, playing video games.
