I love connecting with people and educating them about their ocular health. I strive to give incredibly thorough eye care. How are you helping patients live their best lives? I carefully evaluate potential problem areas in patients' eyes and develop a care plan that is catered to them individually. What does providing a transformational eyecare experience mean to you? I love hearing patients tell me that they've never had such a thorough exam! I take the extra time to carefully educate patient How are you impacting your local community? I volunteer in our local elementary school and at our church. Hobbies/Interests: Being a mom to our three delightful little girls, hiking and camping, making music, reading (when I find time!)

Dr. Carol Schwan is a 1994 graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry where she received honors in Low Vision and Pediatrics. She was also the recipient of the Bausch and Lomb Business Award. She pursued her Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology at the University of Delaware and graduated with Honors. Dr Schwan has resided in Martinez, Ga for over 20 years where she has raised 3 sons. Dr. Schwan enjoys helping patients of all ages and takes pride in her attention to detail. On her days off Dr. Schwan enjoys hiking, tennis, college football and long days on the beach.

As a Doctor of Optometry, part of my commitment to my patients is ongoing professional education. As technology and the world around us changes, I have to keep up-to-date, because I have to provide the best care possible for your eyes. Providing comprehensive eye exams for adults and children, including glasses, contacts, and specialty vision items. I have a passion for helping children achieve their highest educational goals by not only correcting vision disorders but also working on correcting binocular visual dysfunction and encouraging visual integration and spatial reason. I manage ocular diseases like glaucoma, macular degeneration, and retinal disorders, as well as closely monitor and maintain diabetic health care. Hobbies/Interests: Pageants, Rowing, Archery, Art, and playing with my dog, cats, and a bearded dragon. I am a mom to my two wonderful children, Scarlett and Malcolm, and a wife of 17 years.

By providing comprehensive eye exams for adults and children, diabetic eye exams, contact lens fitting, binocular visual dysfunctions, and ocular disease management. Hobbies/Interests: working out, traveling with my husband (especially to the beach).

Dr. Sendker provides expert eye health services with a personal touch, supported by his 30+ years of career experience. He earned a Doctor of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Elkins Park, PA. In addition to his practice, Dr. Sendker is a faculty member at Erie Community College. I have a special interest in the medical aspect of Optometry i.e. glaucoma, diabetes, etc. As well as primary care. I enjoy being available for that last-minute emergency visit on a Friday. Hobbies/Interests: Baseball, exercise, anything Sci-fi and spending time with my Fiancé, Danielle.

Through comprehensive yearly eye health assessments, we ensure our patients are equipped with clear vision and healthy, comfortable eyes that will support them through their day-to-day endeavors. Hobbies/Interests: Anything outdoors, cooking, traveling, reading, painting, and spending time with my husband and kids!

Clinical Certifications and Specialties: Primary care, dry eye treatment, computer vision syndrome. The reason I became an optometrist is: I was interested in healthcare from a young age as I knew I wanted to be in a field that makes an impact and difference on others. I was fortunate enough to not need any vision correction while growing up but had many family members who either wore glasses or suffered from eye conditions (Glaucoma, etc.). I came to realize that the field of optometry is so fascinating in that I would get to care for not only patients' vision needs (glasses and contacts), but also help with their healthcare needs. I am lucky to work in a field with ever changing technology that allows me to provide this comprehensive care to patients each day. My favorite part of helping my patients is: I am fortunate to work in the area I grew up (graduated from Franklin Central High School), so it's been a humbling experience to impact the community I know and love. Forming trusting relationships with my patients and their families by helping them see and feel better is so rewarding each day. In my spare time, I enjoy: Traveling, live theater, playing tennis, Cubs baseball, shoe shopping, and exploring parks and museums with my husband and kids (Keenan and Nahla). I also love a good book, a cup of coffee, and binge-watching Netflix!

Clinical Certifications and Specialties: Advanced Studies in Contact Lens Certification; Professional Practice Honors Recognition in all 4th year Rotations. The reason I became an optometrist is: because I'm near-sighted myself, so from an early age I knew the importance of having my eyes checked regularly. My favorite part of helping my patients is: using my skills and knowledge to explain how their eyes are doing vision and health wise in a way that is easy for them to understand :) In my spare time, I enjoy: Spending time with my husband and my husky, Czar. I also enjoy traveling and finding the best pizza spots!

I am in such a rewarding career, and I want to ensure every patient gets the best outcome for both their visual and ocular health.
