Our Doctors

Dr. Tidswell is a native of southern Colorado having grown up in Lamar, CO. He received his undergraduate degree from Adams State University in Alamosa, CO and graduated with Honors from Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon. He has provided eyecare to the southern Colorado area since 1984 and has lived in Colorado Springs since 2005. Dr. Tidswell loves to spend time with his wife and 3 grown daughters who reside in Colorado Spring, Alaska, and South Carolina. Away from the office, he enjoys traveling and being with his family.

Undergraduate Education: Indiana University Bloomington. Optometry School: Indiana University School of Optometry. How are you impacting your local community or helping your patients live their best lives? By providing personalized care to patients of all ages. Including diabetic eye exams, contact lens fitting, glaucoma evaluation, pediatric eye exams and ocular disease management. Hobbies/Interests: Spending time with my husband & two young sons (Jack & Clark), home improvement projects, going on walks with our Wheaten Terrier (Oreck) and cooking.

Dr. Till graduated from Indiana School of Optometry in 2017. While in school he was a Dean’s Scholar and focused his research on concussions and involuntary eye movements. This experience allowed him to combine his passion for athletics with optometric care. He was also a research assistant in the Optics Research Lab and learned a tremendous amount about the various properties of different contact lenses, particularly in relation to dry eyes. Dr. Till completed external rotations at the Dorn VA Medical Center, Huntington VA Medical Center, Quantico Naval Health Care Center, and Indianapolis Eye Care Center. While on rotations he received extensive training in comprehensive medical optometry and contact lenses. Dr. Till lives in Indianapolis with his wife, Chelsea, and his two sons, Jack and Clark. In his free time, he enjoys doing projects around the house, playing guitar, and playing with their dog, Oreck.

Dr. Frederick Tillman graduated from Albany Junior College with an Associate of Arts Degree in 1976. He attended the University of Georgia beginning in 1976 and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1979. Dr. Tillman received a Doctor of Optometry Degree in 1981 from Southern College of Optometry. Dr. Tillman had a private practice in Thompson, GA, from 1981 to 1982 and then in Brunswick, GA, from 1982 to 1985. He and his family moved to Carrollton in 1985, and he has had a successful practice here for nearly 40 years. He and his wife, Sally, have three children, Beth, Walt, and Sara Claudia, and two grandchildren, Charlie and Naomi.

Dr. Todd received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign and her Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. A member of the American Optometric Association and the Connecticut Association of Optometrists, Dr. Todd has been practicing for over 20 years, specializing in dry eye disease, specialized contact fittings, including toric and multifocal lenses, and emergency eye care. She has been a speaker and contributor to many ophthalmic and optometric audiences and journals on the topics of dry eye disease and contact lenses.

The reason I became an optometrist is: I started wearing glasses and contacts at a young age and always thought the eye was interesting. My favorite part of helping my patients is: Is being able to make a difference in their lives by providing better vision. In my spare time, I enjoy: Playing all types of sports and being outside as much as possible.

Binh James Tran, O.D. was born and raised south of the DFW metroplex. He attended The University of Texas at Arlington and graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Biology. Afterward, he attended the University of Houston College of Optometry. With an interest in enhancing the vision and well-being of his patients, Dr. Tran wants to ensure he practices with compassion and genuine concern for individual needs. In his free time, he enjoys going on runs, hiking, and finding new ways to stay active to counteract his love for food. While in DFW, you will find him playing pickleball and searching for delicious cuisines to try as he attempts to eat his way through the DFW food scene.

Dr. Tran completed their undergraduate education at the University of Texas at Arlington before earning their Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry. Passionate about providing exceptional eye care, Dr. Tran is dedicated to improving patients' vision and overall ocular health. Outside of optometry, Dr. Tran enjoys staying active through running, swimming, rock climbing, and hiking. She also has a creative side, spending time on crafts and cooking.

Dr. Jennifer Tran has devoted her career to enhancing her patients’ vision and eye health. Her passion for eye care began early in life. She studied Biochemistry with a minor in Chemistry at the University of Washington, then earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University. Dr. Tran advanced her expertise by completing a residency in primary care at the Veteran Affairs Hospital in Reno, NV. Committed to providing top-notch eye care, she earned her fellowship from the American Academy of Optometry in 2010. With over 15 years of experience, Dr. Tran is highly regarded for her precise attention to detail and compassionate care. Beyond her practice, she is an active member of the American Optometric Association and volunteers her skills for vision screenings in underserved communities. Her dedication to optometric care, combined with her friendly demeanor, has made her a cherished figure among both patients and colleagues.

Dr. Jonathan Tran attended UT Austin and the University Of Houston where he earned his B.S. in Biology and Business Administration as well as his Doctor of Optometry Degree. Board Certified in the Management and Treatment of various eye diseases such as Cataracts, Glaucoma, and Macular Degeneration, Dr. Tran gained valuable clinical experience while at Northeastern State University College of Optometry in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He began working for Texas State Optical, over 10 years ago as a Doctor’s Assistant and has been working as a Doctor with TSO over 3 years. While working as a Doctor’s Assistant he felt he had a real connection with the patients and their vision matters. “As a Doctor’s Assistant, I learned that my personality made assisting and educating patients an easy career choice. Listening to and understanding patients issues helps me assist and educate the patient. Personalized in-depth care is what I strive for.” Dr. Tran states. His professional interests include, advancing the profession of Optometry by maintaining up to date, continual education and learning the most advanced and successful standards of patient care. Giving back to the community is important to Dr. Tran. He trained with the Good Neighbor Clinic in Houston providing Comprehensive Eye Exams to all age groups and gave exams in Spanish. Dr. Tran also speaks English and Vietnamese fluently! Jonathan also worked with Prevent Blindness Texas to carry out vision screenings to the underprivileged. Aurora, Colorado is where Dr. Tran is originally from. His family as well as Dr. Tran were residing in Denver, Colorado when his father received a transfer order while working for the United Airlines, formerly known as Continental Airlines, bringing them to Houston, Texas. Dr. Tran enjoys watching sports and exercising in his free time. He is a die-hard sports fan for the Texans, Broncos, Rockets and Astros. Dr. Tran likes to keep up with news and events and has 3 young children to keep him on his toes!
