Undergraduate Education: King's College - BS in Biology with a minor in Neurology. Optometry School: Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University. Professional Achievements and Associations: Residency in Primary Eye Care at Salem VAMC; American Optometric Association; Virginia Optometric Association; Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society. Clinical Certifications and Specialties: Residency Trained with background in specialty contact lens fittings and ocular disease management. The reason I became an optometrist is: Optometry is the one form of medicine that impacts the quality and function of one's day to day routine. It allows me to know patients on a personal level, to know what their likes/dislikes are. I can tailor prescriptions to specific jobs or hobbies from a clarity and comfort standpoint. My favorite part of helping my patients is: Getting to know them on a personal level. These connections allow me to give the best care possible because everyone has unique wants and needs for their jobs or hobbies. In my spare time, I enjoy: Mostly spending time with my growing family. Also enjoys traveling to all 50 states and watching sports. Baseball is a big passion, was once upon a time scouted by the NY Mets.

Dr. Jeanne Ruff is an optometrist practicing primary eye care, which involves prescribing glasses and contact lenses and diagnosing and treating eye disease. Dr. Ruff encourages vision wellness and a patient’s best vision possible; she discusses diagnosis and treatment plans to ensure trust and understanding of patient eye care needs. Originally from Miami, Florida, Dr. Ruff received her Bachelor of Science in Vision Science and Doctor of Optometry from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry. After nearly 10 years in private practice in Williamsburg, Virginia, she joined Myeyedr in 2016. Her hobbies include painting, cycling, traveling, and watching the Miami Dolphins.

Undergraduate Education: A native of North Carolina; Dr. Russell completed his undergraduate studies at Winston-Salem State University (WSSU); with a BS degree in Biology and Chemistry Minor. Optometry School: He completed his Doctor of Optometry studies at Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in Elkins Park, PA in the graduating class of 2018. Professional Achievements and Associations: In addition to providing routine comprehensive and contact lens eye exams; Dr. Russell holds a special interest in providing care and management for Glaucoma, Diabetic, and Low-Vision patients. One of the highlights of his budding career has been helping to save a 17-year male’s “quality of life” after uncovering a neurological disorder and immediately referring him to Neurology for diagnostic scans and subsequent surgery for resolution. Clinical Certifications and Specialties: Dr. Gabriel Russell OD is a nationally board-certified Optometrist who holds state board certifications in both Pennsylvania, and Georgia where he currently resides. A native of North Carolina; Dr. Russell holds a special interest in providing care and management for Glaucoma, Diabetic, and Low-Vision patients. National Board Certification for Injections. The reason I became an optometrist is: To give every Patient that I have the honor to see the gift of clearer vision and knowledge not only of the eyes but holistically to help them do their part in preserving that vision. My favorite part of helping my patients is: Improving their quality of living through their visual needs. In my spare time, I enjoy: Outside of the office he balances work with spending time with his family, traveling, hiking, and playing soccer.

Dr. MacKayla Wolfe received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2024 from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, Illinois. She spent her externship year at Michiana Eye Center in Mishawaka, Indiana, Jackie Walorski VA Clinic in Mishawaka,IN and MyEyeDr in Westfield, IN. She served on the board for College of Optometrists in Vision Development, Neuro-Ophthalmic Rehabilitation Association and American Association of Optometrists. Throughout her four years of optometry school she was also involved in assisting with numerous vision screenings with DePaul University Athletics as well as serving as a technician in the pediatric department at Illinois College of Optometry. She is originally from LaOtto, IN and moved to Muncie, IN to obtain her undergraduate degree and then later moved to Chicago, Illinois to obtain her doctorate. She decided to move back to the Northern Indiana area to begin her career.

Undergraduate Education: University of Texas at Austin – 2011. Optometry School: University of Houston College of Optometry – 2015. Professional Achievements and Associations: American Optometric Association; Texas Optometric Association. Clinical Certifications and Specialties: Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. The reason I became an optometrist is: the instant gratification of positively impacting a patient's life by something as simple as prescribing an eyeglasses prescription. My favorite part of helping my patients is: taking time to listen to their needs or concerns and improving not only their eyesight but their quality of life as well. In my spare time, I enjoy: spin and barre fitness classes and cooking plant-based meals.

Dr. Christian Salazar earned his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Central Florida in 2017. He then completed his Doctor of Optometry degree at Nova Southeastern University in 2023. Outside of work, Dr. Salazar is passionate about traveling and ocean conservation. He also enjoys staying active through Muay Thai and Krav Maga. As a car enthusiast, he loves exploring the world of motorsports and racing.

Receiving glasses as a preteen and my grandmother losing her sight to diabetes prompted me to enter into this profession. How are you helping patients live their best lives? I take the time to get to know my patients the best I can. Some of my patients have been with me for over 15 years. What does providing a transformational eyecare experience mean to you? Ensuring the happiness and satisfaction of all patients. How are you impacting your local community? I have lived in Woodbridge since 2002. I enjoyed volunteering at my children’s school for vision screenings. Hobbies/Interests: Reading, especially at the beach/Entertaining/chauffeuring my children

How are you impacting your local community or helping your patients live their best lives? My aim is to educate our patients so that they learn something from each exam. Whether I have seen them just once, or many times, I want to ensure they know everything about their eyes. Hobbies/Interests: Woodworking, Hiking.
