I looked up and respected him and thought this is what I want to do for the rest of my life. To be able to help people see clearer and function better in this world is very fulfilling. In my spare time, I enjoy Crossfit, golf, and being with my wife! My favorite part of helping my patients is to be able to function better in their day to day activities.

Dr. Shah McDonough achieved a Bachelor of science degree in Biology with a minor in Spanish from Purdue University. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL. During her time there she also completed a second bachelor’s degree in Vision science and an internship with honors at the Tianjin Medical University eye clinic in Tianjin, China. Active in the professional community, Dr. Shah McDonough holds a membership with the Indiana Optometric Association. She is fluent in Gujarati, a dialect of India. Practicing a healthy lifestyle, Dr. Shah McDonough enjoys traveling, gardening, and hiking. She lives in Indianapolis with her husband and 2 sons. Dr. Shah McDonough enjoys being part of the Progressive Eyecare team and helping her community.

Dr. McDuffey grew up as an Army brat, traveling extensively with her family. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the College of William and Mary, followed by a Master of Science in Biological Sciences from Mississippi College. Dr. McDuffey then pursued her Doctor of Optometry degree from the InterAmerican University of Puerto Rico School of Optometry. During her time there, she served as the President of the Student VOSH (Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity), where she planned and participated in mission trips to the Dominican Republic and Panama. She was also the Student Liaison for the College of Optometrists in Vision Development. In recognition of her dedication, she received the U.S. Army Health Professions Scholarship Program and was direct commissioned as a Captain in the U.S. Army, serving in optometry as well as in Health Services Administration. Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. McDuffey enjoys taking walks with her dog, exploring local coffee shops, and traveling to new destinations.

Bachelor of Science Degree from Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe, Louisiana. Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry. Experience: Began East Texas Vision Center in the Westwood Shopping Center (1984 – January 2024). Dr. McGough and Dr. Douglas acquired TSO of Tyler (2000 – present). Accreditations: Therapeutic Optometrists experienced in the direct care of visual assessment, contact lens fitting, eye trauma, eye disease, and surgical procedures such as cataracts and LASIK. Member of the Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. Served on the board of the Prevent Blindness Organization in Tyler, Texas.

How are you impacting your local community or helping your patients live their best lives? I am helping my patients live their best lives by helping them understand any existing chronic ocular conditions and providing examinations in children and adults for the use of glasses and/or contact lenses. Hobbies/Interests: photography, theater, writing, hiking, friends & family.

Undergraduate Education: The Pennsylvania State University- The Behrend College. Optometry School: Nova Southeastern University. How are you impacting your local community or helping your patients live their best lives? I provide routine eye care and ocular disease care to patients in my hometown. I make sure to thoroughly explain all necessary information while also connecting with my patients, so they feel comfortable. I hope that in helping my patients understand their ocular health they may go forward to understand their overall systemic health. Hobbies/interests: Cooking, working out, and playing with my dog.

Vision is our most important sense, and I love being able to play a part in helping my patients have the best vision possible to ensure their highest quality of life. I am proud to serve the community I grew up in and the surrounding counties. Hobbies/Interests: Gardening, horseback riding, spending time with my family. I am also very active in my church.

Dr. Alexandria Mckeen completed her Honours Bachelors of Science at University of Toronto in 2019. She graduated from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2024. In 2024-2025, she completed a residency in Ocular Disease at Seidenberg Protzko Eye Associates. In her downtime, Dr. Mckeen enjoys reading, finding new places to eat, and spending time with friends and family.

Clinical Certifications and Specialties: Investigator for various studies on eye care; Lecture on contact lens’ Low vision experiences. The reason I became an optometrist is: A passion for helping individuals in our community solve vision problems and improve their quality of life with the right type of medical intervention and vision correction. My favorite part of helping my patients is: Making a difference in patients’ quality of life with better vision. In my spare time, I enjoy: My Family; Chess; Pickle Ball; Outdoor Activities.

Dr. McMillian is a 1994 graduate of the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis TN where he attended as a US Army officer under the Health Professions Scholarship Program. After graduation he served as a Captain and Optometric Physician in the US Army. He served in Germany, Bosnia, and the US before leaving the Army to pursue private practice. Dr. McMillian founded McMillian Eye Care in Atoka TN in 2002. He enjoys the outdoor life with his wife Carlyn and son Brady.

Vision is our most important sense, and I love being able to play a part in helping to ensure my patients have a higher quality of life they can enjoy. Progressive nearsightedness is an epidemic among all the near work adults and especially children do today. We work proactively with local school nurses and parents to be sure children have their eyes examined early and often, using technologies to reduce and, many times, eliminate myopia progression. Hobbies/Interests: Spending time with my wife and children, providing volunteer eye care in developing nations, playing and teaching Pickleball, Go Birds!

How are you impacting your local community or helping your patients live their best lives? By striving to be the best optometrist I can be when caring for my patients’ vision. Undergraduate Education: Colorado State University. Optometry School: Pacific University, College of Optometry graduating with honors in 2000. How are you impacting your local community or helping your patients live their best lives? Dr. Mearsha has a special interest in Orthokeratology (OrthoK), which is the science of reshaping the cornea of the eye, without surgery, to improve vision and virtually eliminate the need for daytime contact lenses and glasses. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control (IAOMC), actively practices Myopia Control and specializes in difficult-to-fit contact lenses including Scleral and Gas permeable. Dr. Mearsha has a strong interest in developmental optometry and determining how using vision therapy can improve classroom performance for students, as well as increase performance for athletes in a variety of sports. As a member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development and American Optometric Associations Sports Vision Section he can stay on the leading edge of new and exciting advances in Vision Therapy. Hobbies/Interests: Dr. Mearsha resides in Greeley, and in his spare time he enjoys bicycling, golfing, reading, home projects and family activities with his wife, Susie, and their three wonderful children.

Undergraduate Education: University of Cincinnati; Pre- optometry. El Minia university Egypt: Bachelor of Art. Optometry School: Salus University 2021. The reason I became an optometrist is: I have always enjoyed helping people. Being an Optometrist allows me to provide patients with their visual needs and therefore help them do the things they enjoy. This can re-open their world of possibilities and create new adventures. Optometry is also a very social profession that allows me to interact with and learn about so many different people every day which is something I really love. My favorite part of helping my patients is: This is one of the few medical professions that for most of the time, allow us to improve our patients’ lives immediately by giving them the vision correct they need which is very fulfilling. In my spare time, I enjoy: Traveling, hiking, cooking, and serving at my church.
