I looked up and respected him and thought this is what I want to do for the rest of my life. To be able to help people see clearer and function better in this world is very fulfilling. In my spare time, I enjoy Crossfit, golf, and being with my wife! My favorite part of helping my patients is to be able to function better in their day to day activities.

Dr. Shah McDonough achieved a Bachelor of science degree in Biology with a minor in Spanish from Purdue University. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL. During her time there she also completed a second bachelor’s degree in Vision science and an internship with honors at the Tianjin Medical University eye clinic in Tianjin, China. Active in the professional community, Dr. Shah McDonough holds a membership with the Indiana Optometric Association. She is fluent in Gujarati, a dialect of India. Practicing a healthy lifestyle, Dr. Shah McDonough enjoys traveling, gardening, and hiking. She lives in Indianapolis with her husband and 2 sons. Dr. Shah McDonough enjoys being part of the Progressive Eyecare team and helping her community.

Adia McDuffey, OD

About Adia McDuffey, OD

Dr. McDuffey grew up as an Army brat, traveling extensively with her family. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the College of William and Mary, followed by a Master of Science in Biological Sciences from Mississippi College. Dr. McDuffey then pursued her Doctor of Optometry degree from the InterAmerican University of Puerto Rico School of Optometry. During her time there, she served as the President of the Student VOSH (Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity), where she planned and participated in mission trips to the Dominican Republic and Panama. She was also the Student Liaison for the College of Optometrists in Vision Development. In recognition of her dedication, she received the U.S. Army Health Professions Scholarship Program and was direct commissioned as a Captain in the U.S. Army, serving in optometry as well as in Health Services Administration. Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. McDuffey enjoys taking walks with her dog, exploring local coffee shops, and traveling to new destinations.

Dr. Mearsha has a special interest in Orthokeratology (OrthoK), which is the science of reshaping the cornea of the eye, without surgery, to improve vision and virtually eliminate the need for daytime contact lenses and glasses. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control (IAOMC), actively practices Myopia Control and specializes in difficult-to-fit contact lenses including Scleral and Gas permeable. Dr. Mearsha has a strong interest in developmental optometry and determining how using vision therapy can improve classroom performance for students, as well as increase performance for athletes in a variety of sports. As a member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development and American Optometric Associations Sports Vision Section he can stay on the leading edge of new and exciting advances in Vision Therapy. Hobbies/Interests: Dr. Mearsha resides in Greeley, and in his spare time he enjoys bicycling, golfing, reading, home projects and family activities with his wife, Susie, and their three wonderful children.
