Dr. Shawna Lehmann is a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist in the state of Texas. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Redlands in Southern California. She went on to complete her Doctor of Optometry degree at Marshall B. Ketchum University. During her education, Dr. Lehmann conducted research for the National Eye Institute at the University of Houston College of Optometry. During her research, she was introduced to the Hill Country of Texas and fell in love with the region. It took a few years, but she relocated with her family as soon as she could! Dr. Lehmann is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Honor Society, a lifetime member of the Omega Delta Optometric Fraternity, and a member of the Ocular Wellness and Nutrition Society. Dr. Lehmann has a special interest in nutrition and its role in maintaining eye health and preventing eye disease. She loves to spread the word on the importance of UV protective eye wear and the effects of good nutrition on ocular health. Dr. Lehmann has over 23 years experience in caring for patients and treating conditions such as diabetic eye disease, cataracts, eye infections, glaucoma, styes, dry eye, inflammation of the eye, and retinal conditions, including macular degeneration. She enjoys getting to know her patients and caring for all of their eye wear and eye care needs. Dr. Lehmann and her husband, Peter, are raising four sons, four very energetic and curious sons. As a family, they enjoy movies, exploring and traveling, and spending time on the river.

Dr. Shannon Leitenbauer graduated from Emporia State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology, then received her Doctorate of Optometry from Northeastern State University College of Optometry in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Upon graduation, she completed her residency in a hospital-based primary eye care/ocular disease clinic at the Veteran’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1998, she began in private practice. Her credentials include being a Certified Optometric Physician and a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Leitenbauer has served in several faculty positions, including Adjunct Faculty of Biology and Anatomy/Physiology at Indian River State College and The New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA. She also was an Adjunct Lecturer for Massachusetts General Hospital’s Nursing Program. Dr. Leitenbauer enjoys serving the community where she lives. She is an active member of the Ft. Pierce Chamber of Commerce, is past president of the Ft. Pierce Downtown Kiwanis Club, has served on the board of directors of the Treasure Coast Food Bank, and has volunteered for the St. Lucie County Big Brothers / Big Sisters program. She resides in Ft. Pierce with her husband, Jony Leitenbauer, and their three children.

Dr. Leonard earned her Doctor of Optometry from Indiana University School of Optometry in Bloomington, IN. She has years of experience in diagnosis, treatment, and management of eye health for the benefit of each patient, as she provides expert service with personal, caring attention. Undergraduate: University of Houston Downtown, bachelor’s in biology with a minor in Chemistry; Optometry: University of Houston College of Optometry. Professional Achievements/Associations: American Optometric Association and the Texas Optometry Association. Clinical Certifications & Specialties: Therapeutic optometrist and glaucoma specialist. What drives your passion for optometry? I enjoy providing high quality, personalized medical and routine eye exams to patients with whom I genuinely enjoy our interactions in bettering their eye health needs. I also like to both educate my patients and place them at ease so that their experience at MyEyeDr is a two-way dialogue where we both listen and respond in a relaxed setting. Hobbies/interest. Traveling, spreading time with family and listening to music.

Clinical Certifications and Specialties: Diplomate, American Board of Optometry. The reason I became an optometrist is: To gain the ability to make lifelong positive changes to many lives. My favorite part of helping my patients is: Making people more confident about themselves by glasses or contact lenses or surgery. In my spare time, I enjoy: My wife and kids and grandkids, golf and exercise.

Hobbies/Interests: Disney enthusiast/addict, loves to play golf, loves to travel, enjoys playing video games/ watching movies.

How are you impacting your local community or helping your patients live their best lives? By providing primary care optometry with experience in ocular disease and contact lenses. Hobbies: Guitar, lifting, running, woodworking.

Dr. Robert Levine graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1986. He started practicing in Libertyville in 1987 and added his second office location in Lake Zurich in 2001. He specializes in fitting contact lenses for many eye conditions, including difficult cases like Keratoconus, Dry Eye Syndrome, Multifocal/Bifocal, Astigmatism, and post-surgical LASIK and PRK patients. He is also one of the only doctors in the Libertyville and Lake Zurich areas with certification to work with Scleral and large-diameter lenses, including the new multifocal scleral lenses. Dr. Levine has a special interest in Vision Shaping (Corneal Reshaping/Orthokeratology). He is the area leader in this procedure and has been treating adults and children since 1989. Vision Shaping is the overnight method of gently reshaping the cornea of the eye without surgery to improve vision and eliminate the need for daytime contact lenses and glasses. Vision Shaping has also been shown to slow down and often stop the progression of nearsightedness. He is a certified lens designer/fitter for Wave Custom Lenses, CRT (Corneal Refractive Therapy) and VST (Vision Shaping Treatment). Dr. Levine also has an extensive background with LASIK/PRK and corrective surgeries and currently serves as Medical Director for Qualsight LASIK, Inc. Dr. Levine is a member of the American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control. He is also a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), as well as a member of the Illinois Optometric Association. Dr. Levine also knows sign language and treats many deaf and hard of hearing patients.

Undergraduate Education: Cornell University, BA Economics; Optometry School: Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University, OD, MS Vision Rehabilitation; Professional Achievements and Associations: American Optometric Association, NC Optometric Society; Clinical Certifications and Specialities: Master's Degree in Vision Rehabilitation/ Low Vision, Brilliant Futures Myopia Management Program certification; The reason I became an optometrist is because I grew up in an optometry family spending time at my father's and maternal grandfather's practice in New Jersey. I loved how they were able to help their patients see and educate people about their health. I am a problem solver and I love that optometry allows me to evaluate eye health issues and help people see their best. My favorite part of helping my patients is getting to know my patients and helping them find the best vision solutions for their needs. I have been caring for many of my patients for over 20 years and am thankful for the opportunity to participate in their health and vision care. In my spare time, I love to be outdoors: hiking, biking, enjoying nature. I also enjoy travel and the insight it provides into other cultures. I currently serve on the board of directors of Wayfinders, an organization that provides mentoring, summer camp opportunities and year round enrichment to high achieving low income students in Charlotte. Through Wayfinders, I am mentoring two teenage girls and I am sharing my passion for learning and exploration with them.

Dr. Hannah Lewis earned her B.S. in Public Health, with a minor in Chemistry, from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). She then obtained her Doctorate of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry (NECO) in Boston, MA. To further enhance her training, Dr. Lewis completed an Ocular Disease residency at the W.G. Bill Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury, NC. She is passionate about improving her patients' quality of life through education on preventative ocular health and providing corrective treatments. Additionally, she is dedicated to serving her community by delivering excellent service and learning from its members. In her free time, Dr. Lewis enjoys playing indoor and outdoor volleyball, traveling, singing, and spending time with family and friends.

Associations: American Optometric Association, Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians. Certifications: Diplomat, American Board of Optometry. How are you impacting your local community or helping your patients live their best lives? Dr. Lewis has served patients of all ages in West Tennessee communities since 1994. As a board-certified optometric physician, she cares for a wide range of eye health and vision needs, from glasses and contact lens exams to complicated disease management cases using the fullest scope of optometric practice in Tennessee. Hobbies/Interests: In her spare time, you’ll find Dr. Lewis with her husband of 30+ years, Tim. They will probably be hanging out on their family farm, at the beach, or at church with some of their 4 children, daughters-in-law, and grandkids.

After completing undergraduate studies at Howard University and Norfolk State University, Dr. Lewis earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Drexel University. He completed his clinical rotations at various eye clinics in Philadelphia, PA, Havre De Grace, MD, and Mitchellville, MD. He enjoys bodybuilding, reading, Taekwondo, mentoring, and playing the saxophone.

By providing comprehensive eye exams, diabetic eye exams, contact lens fitting, and diagnosis and management of ocular diseases. Hollies/Interests: In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and children.

Dr. Diana Li’s passion for eyes started from a very young age, when she got her first pair of glasses at 4 years old. As a result, she always emphasizes the importance of annual eye health exams as well as early diagnoses of eye issues. Dr. Li specializes in primary care optometry but is also skilled in diagnosing and managing ocular diseases including: glaucoma, macular degeneration, and cataracts. She believes that preventative care is essential to long-term eye health and strives to provide a warm and personalized experience for each patient. Dr. Li is originally from New Jersey and moved to the Midwest for her education. She received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) and her Doctorate from the Illinois College of Optometry. Outside of the office Dr. Li enjoys exploring new restaurants and playing recreational pickleball and badminton. She has a soft spot for sweets and can usually be found lurking near new dessert spots!

Dr. Li was born in China and raised in Texas, Tennessee, and Pennsylvania. She recieved her undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas. She completed her clinical training at Southwest Vision Center and Kozlovsky Delay & Winter Eye Consultants, where she managed ocular diseases and provided pre and post-ocular surgical care. During time at school, she served as the President of Optometric Vision Development and Rehabilitation Association (OVDRA) and Sports Vision. She previously researched on color vision and publishing it in the journal "Eye". She is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA) and Texas Optometric Association (TOA). She also volunteered on a mission trip to Guatemala, where she provided eyecare to the underserved population of Chichicastenango. She enjoys seeing patients of all ages and aims to provide positive, impactful visual and ocular health solutions for patients' concerns. During her free time, she enjoys cooking, hiking, and spending time with family.

Undergraduate Education: UNC- Chapel Hill - Bachelor of Science in Biology with Minor in Chemistry; Optometry School: Nova Southeastern University; The reason I became an optometrist is because I always considered having a career in healthcare, but I ultimately chose optometry due to enjoying going to my own eye appointments throughout my lifetime. It is great not having shots or high pitch drills at an optometrist’s office! I strive to provide quality eye care to patients as other optometrists have done for me. My favorite part of helping my patients is seeing the smiles and appreciation on my patient's face even with a mask on. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, discovering new food, cooking, scenic walks, and spending time with friends and family.
