Dr. Leary specializes in dry eye treatments, contact lens evaluations, and the treatment of non-surgical eye diseases. He is certified in the diagnosis and management of ocular disease. Dr. Leary enjoys seeing families, children, and positively affecting people's lives by giving them the best possible vision correction. Dr. Leary has volunteered locally with the Lions club and is a co-founder of the Greater Columbus Optometric Association where he serves as president. He is a Georgia native. Hobbies/Interests: He enjoys time spent with his family, enjoys nature, sports and working on mechanical things.

Provide comprehensive eye care to children and adults including eyeglass and contact lens corrections, addressing acute medical eye problems and injuries, and management of ocular complications of general systemic medical conditions. Hobbies/Interest: Enjoy boating, fishing, camping, and other travel with family and Willie our black lab.

Dr. Lee completed his undergraduate studies at The University of Texas at Austin in 2002. He then pursued his lifelong passion of being an optometrist and graduated from the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico College of Optometry in 2008. Afterward, he moved to New Jersey and completed a residency program in ocular disease and primary care at the Eye Care Center of New Jersey in 2009. Dr. Lee enjoys being active and likes to play basketball and tennis.

Dr. Nyok “Alan” Lee, O.D. is a licensed Optometric Glaucoma specialist and is therapeutically certified. He graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Arts degree and earned his Doctorate of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry. During his clinical education, he completed his externships at Veterans Affairs and Codman Square Community Health Center where he gained valuable experience in diagnosing and management of various ocular diseases including cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, and glaucoma. He also completed his primary care rotation with EyeTrends in the Woodlands and a cornea and specialty contact lens rotation with Global Vision Rehabilitation Center in Miami. Dr. Lee’s clinical interest is in the application of specialty contact lenses in the treatment of various corneal and ocular surface conditions including keratoconus, post-surgical corneas, and dry eyes. He also believes that having a healthy vision from an early age is key to success and enjoys working with the pediatric population. Dr. Lee applies a relaxed demeanor in patient encounters to foster a friendly doctor/patient interaction. Dr. Lee is recognized by Newsweek as one of America’s Best Eye Doctors. In this free time, Dr. Lee enjoys longboarding, traveling, and spending time with his dogs. He considers Houston his home and enjoys exploring new aspects that the city continues to offer.

I still truly LOVE providing the best vision and medical care possible so that no one misses out on anything in life due to poor sight. Hobbies/Interests: I am an avid outdoorsman. I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and guests, on our farm and preserve, where we raise horses, whitetail deer, antelope, and other animals.

Dr. Shawna Lehmann is a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist in the state of Texas. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Redlands in Southern California. She went on to complete her Doctor of Optometry degree at Marshall B. Ketchum University. During her education, Dr. Lehmann conducted research for the National Eye Institute at the University of Houston College of Optometry. During her research, she was introduced to the Hill Country of Texas and fell in love with the region. It took a few years, but she relocated with her family as soon as she could! Dr. Lehmann is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Honor Society, a lifetime member of the Omega Delta Optometric Fraternity, and a member of the Ocular Wellness and Nutrition Society. Dr. Lehmann has a special interest in nutrition and its role in maintaining eye health and preventing eye disease. She loves to spread the word on the importance of UV protective eye wear and the effects of good nutrition on ocular health. Dr. Lehmann has over 23 years experience in caring for patients and treating conditions such as diabetic eye disease, cataracts, eye infections, glaucoma, styes, dry eye, inflammation of the eye, and retinal conditions, including macular degeneration. She enjoys getting to know her patients and caring for all of their eye wear and eye care needs. Dr. Lehmann and her husband, Peter, are raising four sons, four very energetic and curious sons. As a family, they enjoy movies, exploring and traveling, and spending time on the river.

"Dr. Leibstein graduated with honors from Eastern Connecticut Sate University and went on to SUNY State College of Optometry. His optometric internships at SUNY included rotations in low vision, vision therapy, ocular disease, primary care and pediatrics. As an optometric extern at the Newington Veterans Hospital in Connecticut, Dr. Leibstein was responsible for glaucoma, diabetes and other ocular-associated disease treatment plans. During a second externship in contact lens services at SUNY, Dr. Leibstein was responsible for primary care exams and fitting of lenses on spherical, astigmatic, keratoconic and aphakic patients. Dr. Leibstein was a recipient of the Sunsoft Contact Lens Acheivement Award for outstanding performance in contact lens management. He maintains certification in the treatment and management of ocular disease. He was a staff optometrist and laser surgical consultant at TLC Laser Eye Center in Garden City and has managed thousands of laser vision correction cases. He co-manages cataract post up exams with his local cataract surgeons. Dr. Leibstein was the primary eye care practitioner for a number of nursing home facilities in the New York area, providing complete visual evaluation and care for residents and co-management of ocular diseases. He is a current member of the American Optometric Association, the New York State Optometric Association and an active member and past president of the Nassau County Optometric Society. Currently, Dr. Leibstein practices at his three offices. He is president of South Shore Optometric Associates, and RVC Optometric Associates and vice president of Massapequa Optometric Care. All locations are full-service practices. Dr. Leibstein is available for primary eye care exams at his offices in Amityville Massapequa and Rockville Centre. When Dr Leibstein is not at work, he likes go boating Fishing, Skiing and spending time with family and friends enjoying the good things life has to offer."

Dr. Shannon Leitenbauer graduated from Emporia State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology, then received her Doctorate of Optometry from Northeastern State University College of Optometry in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Upon graduation, she completed her residency in a hospital-based primary eye care/ocular disease clinic at the Veteran’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1998, she began in private practice. Her credentials include being a Certified Optometric Physician and a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Leitenbauer has served in several faculty positions, including Adjunct Faculty of Biology and Anatomy/Physiology at Indian River State College and The New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA. She also was an Adjunct Lecturer for Massachusetts General Hospital’s Nursing Program. Dr. Leitenbauer enjoys serving the community where she lives. She is an active member of the Ft. Pierce Chamber of Commerce, is past president of the Ft. Pierce Downtown Kiwanis Club, has served on the board of directors of the Treasure Coast Food Bank, and has volunteered for the St. Lucie County Big Brothers / Big Sisters program. She resides in Ft. Pierce with her husband, Jony Leitenbauer, and their three children.

Dr. Leonard earned her Doctor of Optometry from Indiana University School of Optometry in Bloomington, IN. She has years of experience in diagnosis, treatment, and management of eye health for the benefit of each patient, as she provides expert service with personal, caring attention. What drives your passion for optometry? I enjoy providing high quality, personalized medical and routine eye exams to patients with whom I genuinely enjoy our interactions in bettering their eye health needs. I also like to both educate my patients and place them at ease so that their experience at MyEyeDr is a two-way dialogue where we both listen and respond in a relaxed setting. Hobbies/interest. Dr. Robert Levine graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1986. He started practicing in Libertyville in 1987 and added his second office location in Lake Zurich in 2001. He specializes in fitting contact lenses for many eye conditions, including difficult cases like Keratoconus, Dry Eye Syndrome, Multifocal/Bifocal, Astigmatism, and post-surgical LASIK and PRK patients. He is also one of the only doctors in the Libertyville and Lake Zurich areas with certification to work with Scleral and large-diameter lenses, including the new multifocal scleral lenses. Dr. Levine has a special interest in Vision Shaping (Corneal Reshaping/Orthokeratology). He is the area leader in this procedure and has been treating adults and children since 1989. Vision Shaping is the overnight method of gently reshaping the cornea of the eye without surgery to improve vision and eliminate the need for daytime contact lenses and glasses. Vision Shaping has also been shown to slow down and often stop the progression of nearsightedness. He is a certified lens designer/fitter for Wave Custom Lenses, CRT (Corneal Refractive Therapy) and VST (Vision Shaping Treatment). Dr. Levine also has an extensive background with LASIK/PRK and corrective surgeries and currently serves as Medical Director for Qualsight LASIK, Inc. Dr. Levine is a member of the American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control. He is also a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), as well as a member of the Illinois Optometric Association. Dr. Levine also knows sign language and treats many deaf and hard of hearing patients.

Undergraduate Education: Cornell University, BA Economics; Optometry School: Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University, OD, MS Vision Rehabilitation; Professional Achievements and Associations: American Optometric Association, NC Optometric Society; Clinical Certifications and Specialities: Master's Degree in Vision Rehabilitation/ Low Vision, Brilliant Futures Myopia Management Program certification; The reason I became an optometrist is because I grew up in an optometry family spending time at my father's and maternal grandfather's practice in New Jersey. I loved how they were able to help their patients see and educate people about their health. I am a problem solver and I love that optometry allows me to evaluate eye health issues and help people see their best. My favorite part of helping my patients is getting to know my patients and helping them find the best vision solutions for their needs. I have been caring for many of my patients for over 20 years and am thankful for the opportunity to participate in their health and vision care. In my spare time, I love to be outdoors: hiking, biking, enjoying nature. I also enjoy travel and the insight it provides into other cultures. I currently serve on the board of directors of Wayfinders, an organization that provides mentoring, summer camp opportunities and year round enrichment to high achieving low income students in Charlotte. Through Wayfinders, I am mentoring two teenage girls and I am sharing my passion for learning and exploration with them.
