I have been blessed to provide vision care in the Rockford area for so many years that I am recognized out in public everywhere. Hobbies/Interests: Speaking to local senior groups about eye health and sponsoring local theater.

The reason I became an optometrist is: I became an optometrist because I wanted to provide a practical service while connecting with people of all ages and backgrounds. Whether it be prescribing glasses or contacts for clearer vision, diagnosing, and managing a vision-threatening disease, or annual monitoring of ocular health, optometry provides me the opportunity to improve my patients’ daily lives. My favorite part of helping my patients is: My favorite part of helping my patients is spending a few extra minutes educating them about their eyes. I believe that the more we understand about our body, the better we can care for it and the better our lives will be! In my spare time, I enjoy: In my spare time, I enjoy exploring Central Florida with my husband, Josh and my dog, Bear. We love traveling to new places and are always open to recommendations!

Undergraduate Education: I graduated Cum Laude from Robert Morris University with a Bachelor of Science Degree. Optometry School: I attended Pennsylvania College of Optometry and graduated in 2017. Professional Achievements and Associations: I completed externships at the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center, Feinbloom Low Vision Center, and a contact lens specialist site. I am a member of American Optometric Association (AOA), the Pennsylvania Optometric Association (POA) and the Western Pennsylvania Optometric Society (WPOS). Clinical Certifications and Specialties: I completed my third-year rotation at Complete Family Vision Care and fell in love with the practice and their style of patient care. I joined Complete Family Vision Care in June 2017 (now MED) and enjoy providing comprehensive ocular care for individuals of all ages. The reason I became an optometrist is: I have always wanted to help improve others’ lives. I worked in the optical field for almost nine years prior to becoming an optometrist. I was inspired by the way a simple pair of new glasses/contact lenses can drastically change someone's life in a positive manner. My favorite part of helping my patients is: Empowering them see the world clearly and confidently! In my spare time, I enjoy: Spending time with my family and tending to our farm. My husband and I own horses, alpacas, chickens, and many other furry friends!

Dr. Mocklis received his undergraduate degree from Hobart and William-Smith College in Geneva, NY. During his graduate studies at the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA, he completed externships at the Brighton Marine Hospital in Boston, MA, the Boston VA Hospital, the New England Eye Institute in Boston, MA and Western Massachusetts State Hospital in Westfield, MA. He is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), the Cornea and Contact Lens Section of the AOA, and the New Hampshire Optometric Association. Dr. Mocklis is devoted to his family, his patients, and his staff. When he is not at work, he likes being active outdoors -- kayaking or boating with family, playing pickup basketball with friends, or participating in the Seacoast Century bike race (which he's done every year and plans to do so until he is 80). Dr. Mocklis is a native of Greece and was born on an island. He speaks the language fluently and returns to Greece every few years to visit family. Dr. Mocklis was interviewed by the Portsmouth Herald about the impacts of blue light from digital devices on the eyes.

Sight provides ~80% of information needed to interpret our surroundings. Sharpening visual acuity can have great, positive effects on a patient’s job, schooling, or hobbies. It makes me so happy to help a school age kid see the white board better or help an IT specialist who gets headaches at the end of a workday. My favorite part of helping my patients is: potentially improving their everyday lives because they can see better. In my spare time, I enjoy: Spending time with my three kiddos and husband. We like taking family walks and watching the kids play soccer.

The reason I became an optometrist is: I grew up in a large family in Rochester, NY. My mother is one of eleven children and thus I had the blessing of living within five minutes of twenty-nine first cousins. My grandfather was an eye doctor, a navy veteran, and had a strong faith, and he developed in all of us a sense of commitment to serving others. I always saw him as a role-model and my goal has been to make even a fraction of an impact that he made on the world. My favorite part of helping my patients is: In the past I dealt with some major health problems and throughout the countless hospitalizations and various surgical procedures I encountered a wide variety of doctors. Unfortunately, I didn't always have the best health care practitioners looking out for me, but they were overshadowed by the ones who did. That difficult time highlighted for me the importance of having a doctor who listened and who truly cared. I hope to care for my patients the same way that those doctors did for me. In my spare time, I enjoy: watching the Buffalo Bills go to the Super Bowl (at some point). I also enjoy working out, spending time with my friends, family, and fiancée, reading, playing golf, Charlotte Knights baseball games, snow, and water skiing, and traveling.

Active in church and local Lions Club. Hobbies/Interests: Golf, spending time with family and grandchildren.

The reason I became an optometrist is: I became an Optometrist because I enjoy caring for people and their visual needs. The concept of working on a visual problem whose solution would lead to better visual health for my patients is extremely rewarding. My favorite part of helping my patients is: Being able to provide a high level of care and the great opportunity to diagnose, treat, and manage various eye conditions and diseases. In my spare time, I enjoy: Traveling, exercising, creating health/beauty products, and spending time with family and friends.

The continuing and expanding ability to positively affect patients' quality of life by allowing them to experience it with maximum clarity. How are you helping patients live their best lives? Providing personalized solutions for maximum visual and ocular health. What does providing a transformational eyecare experience mean to you? Providing an experience that is tailored to the patients' motivations for clearer vision in an practice environment where the experience is individualized, and service is both personable and memorable. How are you impacting your local community? With two kids in the local school district, I am involved with many activities and sports teams. Hobbies/Interests: Boating and Fishing with family, rooting on the Buckeyes!

Professional Achievements/Associations: MOA/AOA. What drives your passion for optometry? I pride myself on providing the best possible visual solutions for every patient that entrusts me with their eyecare! Whether this involves prescribing new glasses or contacts or detecting ocular health problems that need attention! How are you helping patients live their best lives? By providing the best visual outcomes for each individual patient we are trying to remove the need to even think about your visual function. They just work! Hobbies/Interests: Chasing my two kids around, Golf, Watching sports (any sport), Travel, and Camping.

Dr. Morovati received his B.S. in biology from Troy University in Troy, AL in 1998 and continued to the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he received his doctorate of Optometry in 2003. His interest in Optometry began while he was a research assistant at the United States Army Aeromedical Research Lab in Ft. Rucker, AL, assisting in night vision technology research for helicopter pilots, among other projects, while he was studying biology in college. He has been practicing Optometry since 2003 and has worked in many different settings throughout his career in several states including CO, CA, NY and GA. He loves to go hiking in the warmer months in CO and loves to learn all the latest developments in theoretical and quantum physics in his spare time. He is proud to bring his years of experience in Optometry to My Eye Dr and loves to aid patients in all their visual needs.

Dr. David J. Morris received his doctorate training from Pacific University’s College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon. After graduating, he moved back to his home state of Utah and completed a residency in primary care optometry and specialty contact lens fitting at the Salt Lake Veterans Affairs Medical Center and the University of Utah Moran Eye Center. Dr. Morris practiced optometry in a private practice setting in Utah until 2012, when he moved to Vermont with his family, so that his wife could pursue fellowship training at UVM Medical Center. Dr. Morris and his wife have two fantastic kids; ages 7 and 3. When not working, he enjoys ski mountaineering, running and being in the mountains. Dr. Morris is passionate about eye care and particularly enjoys the challenge of specialty contact lens fittings. This includes fitting soft multifocal contacts and cutting edge specialty gas permeable rigid lenses. He has particular expertise with patients requiring contact lenses for corneal diseases such as keratoconus or for patients who are experiencing a decline in their vision after refractive surgery. Dr. Morris also manages patients with glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eye and minor eye injuries. He is currently accepting new patients.

It was ignited at age 11 when I received my first glasses and was immediately inspired to help others in the same way. How are you helping patients live their best lives? Exploring what patients' visual needs are and then providing optical goods, services, and strategies to meet these needs. What does providing a transformational eyecare experience mean to you? Delivering eye health care that exceeds the patient's expectations. How are you impacting your local community? I've given talks on various eye care-related subjects to various organizations and I've participated in the InfantSee initiative. Hobbies/Interests: Family activities, church, golf, travel, WVU Mountaineers sports.
