Dr. Amy Jones is a caring, residency-trained optometrist passionate about providing high quality eye care to patients here in Austin, Texas.  Dr. Jones was born and raised in Southern California, where she attended UCLA for undergrad and studied Biology. Both of her parents worked in healthcare, and she was always interested in a career where she could help people. After working as a technician at her family friend's pediatric and vision therapy optometry office, she decided optometry would be the perfect fit. Dr. Jones could get to know patients personally while solving their vision problems. She went on to receive her Doctorate of Optometry from Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University in 2020.  After graduation, Dr. Jones moved across the country to Boston, Massachusetts, where she completed a residency in Ocular Disease and Primary Care at the Boston Veterans Affairs Healthcare System and later worked at a boutique practice in the Greater Boston area.  The search for sunnier weather and better tacos led Dr. Jones and her partner, Jeremy, to Central Texas. She feels fortunate to now call Texas home and to be providing great eye care to the wonderful families in Austin.  Outside of work, Dr. Jones enjoys exploring new restaurants and taking in the beautiful scenery of Texas Hill Country on weekends.

With a rich background in primary eye care, Dr. Darcy Jones is deeply committed to providing personalized, patient-first care. She earned her Doctorate of Optometry from Northeastern State University College of Optometry in Oklahoma, where she also completed her undergraduate studies in biology and vision science. Dr. Jones worked at Phoenix Indian Medical Center for 2 years and for Gila River Health Care in Sacaton, Arizona for 13 years and was the Director of the Optometry Department for seven years. She honed her expertise at these locations by providing primary eye care, providing Lasik and cataract post-operative care, treating ocular infections, treating ocular allergies, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and removing foreign bodies from the eyes. Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Jones is a past Arizona State Board of Optometry member, serving as vice president for two years. She is also currently involved with the Arizona Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. She volunteers time at the Mission of Mercy eye clinic. Dr. Jones and her dog Lily also volunteer with Paws for Youth and work with elementary school youth. Dr. Jones has been a resident of Arizona since 2005 moving from Oklahoma. When not at the office, Dr. Jones enjoys reading and spending time with her family, reflecting the same care and dedication she brings to her practice.

Dr. Justin D. Jones received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and in Vision Science at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He received his Doctorate of Optometry degree with Honors from Northeastern State University College of Optometry. Dr. Jones has expertise in providing primary eyecare, providing LASIK and cataract post-operative care, treating ocular infections, treating ocular allergies, managing keratoconus, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, eye infections and removing foreign bodies from the eyes. Dr. Jones is certified for the use of CRT lenses and is also one of the few optometrists that are certified to design and dispense WAVE ortho-k lenses. Dr. Jones is the past President of the Arizona Optometric Association. Dr. Jones is also active in the Contact Lens and Cornea Section, American Optometric Association, Central Arizona Optometric Society, and American Optometric Association Political Action Committee. Dr. Jones has been a resident of Arizona since 2005 moving from Oklahoma. Dr. Jones is married to Darcy, who is also a Doctor of Optometry and they have two kids, Jaxson and Alaina. He enjoys golfing, riding his motorcycle and RZR and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Jordan received her Bachelor’s degree from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston in Houston, Texas. Dr. Jordan completed her residency at Omni Eye Specialists in Denver, Colorado, specializing in Ocular Disease, Surgical Co-management, and Acute Care. She then completed a fellowship in Refractive Surgery at Colorado Laser Surgeons in Denver, specializing in surgical candidacy and post-operative management. She has given numerous lectures to optometrists on ocular disease, surgical co-management, and systemic conditions with ocular findings. She has previously been an adjunct professor at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon, and the University of Houston. Dr. Jordan is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Colorado Optometric Association. Dr. Jordan is fluent in Spanish.

Dr. Julia Jose completed her bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at the University of South Florida. Her Optometry degree was completed in Nova Southeastern University, where she also earned a second bachelor’s degree in Vision Sciences. She completed specialty training in diabetic eye exams and ocular disease. Dr. Jose always had a passion for this field, but her passion grew further after she went on a mission trip to Nicaragua during the end of her second year of optometry school. During this eye-opening trip, she helped provide eye care to over 1,000 underserved people of Nicaragua. Dr. Jose is compassionate with her patients, thorough, and most of all personable, which is the biggest compliment she gets. She treats everyone on her chair like they are her friend or family. Dr. Jose moved to Dallas, TX from sunny Florida at the beginning of 2022 after getting married to her husband who is a Dallas native. In her spare time, Dr. Jose likes to spend time with her family and friends, travel, and find new things to do in Dallas.

Dr. Ning-Ju Juang grew up in Ann Arbor, MI and went the University of Michigan for undergraduate school. She decided to venture out west and pursue her passion for optometry at the University of California, Berkeley. After living in Chicago and New York, the pull of her hometown brought her back to Ann Arbor where she now resides with her family. Here interests include cooking, playing the violin, hiking, and traveling the world.

Dr. Angelica Juarez was born and raised in Galveston, Texas and attended the University of Houston where she received a Bachelors Degree in Biology. Dr. Juarez then graduated from the InterAmerican University of Puerto Rico School of Optometry. She is a board certified Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma specialist. Passionate about eye care and committed to improving patient outcomes, Dr. Juarez is dedicated to building strong, trusting relationships with patients, taking time to listen to their concerns and offer personalized care. Outside of work, Dr. Juarez enjoys spending time outdoors, watching sports and reading.

Clinical Certifications & Specialties: My particular areas of interest are primary care optometry and dry eye. What drives your passion for optometry? I'm excited that I can make a difference in people's' lives. How are you helping patients live their best lives? I strive to address their eye health needs and to help them see as well as possible. What does providing a transformational eyecare experience mean to you? Ensuring the happiness and satisfaction of all patients. How are you impacting your local community? I recently moved back to my hometown of Cleveland and am looking forward to getting involved in the local community. Hobbies/Interests: Travel, hiking and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Kimberly Juntarashine is a licensed optometrist who provides comprehensive eye care, from routine eye exams to ocular disease management. She completed a residency in ocular disease at the Erie VA Medical Center and has special interests in retinal health, dry eye, and diabetic eye care. She values thorough care and believes patients should feel comfortable asking questions and understanding their treatment options. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys traveling with her family, staying active, and learning new things. Patients may call her Dr. Kim (or Dr. J).

Dr. Marlene Jurman is a graduate of the State University of New York College of Optometry. She completed her residency training at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Dr. Jurman is an Associate Clinical Professor at the SUNY College of Optometry. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and is also a member of the New York State Optometric Association.

Certification/Awards: Misight Myopia Management Certification, Eyes on Eyecare Social Media Ambassador, Avenova Eyecare Social Media Ambassador. How are you impacting your local community or helping your patients live their best lives? Dr. Kabiri strives to provide exceptional comprehensive eye care to all patients ranging from children to geriatric adults. Dr. Kabiri specializes in dry eye therapy, myopia management, and contact lens exams. Dr. Kabiri is passionate about giving back to the community and is proud to be part of organizations including Lions Club International, Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity, and Global Medical Training. Hobbies/Interests: Outside of taking care of her patients, Dr. Kabiri enjoys staying active by going to the gym, hiking, and playing in an adult league soccer club. Some of her favorite hobbies include reading, listening to educational podcasts, and sharing eyecare health/tips through her social media Instagram.

My name is Dr. Tabarek Kadhim. I grew up in Southern Maine and earned my undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Louisville before completing my Doctor of Optometry degree at the New England College of Optometry. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, volunteering in my community, trying new recipes in the kitchen, and spending quality time with my parents and siblings.

Undergraduate Education: Northern Michigan University. Optometry School: Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University. Professional Achievements and Associations: I am a member of the American Optometric Association and the Pennsylvania Optometric Association. I became an optometrist because I grew up with the experience of needing glasses and contacts at a young age. It sparked my curiosity about the human eye and the science behind best vision correction. Through my many years of schooling and clinical experiences, I recognized that being an optometrist wasn't just about diagnosing refractive errors or prescribing lenses; it was about building meaningful relationships with patients, understanding their unique needs, and helping them live their best lives with clear vision. Each patient encounter enforces the life-changing impact optometry has on all individuals. Hobbies/Interests: In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, watching the Green Bay Packers, and walking my puppy, Rudy.
