Dr. Reshma John received her doctorate of optometry from the MCPHS School of Optometry after completing her undergraduate education at Converse University with a B.S. in Biology. She is a member of the Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society. Dr. John enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and son.

By educating patients about the eye and visual system so they can be great advocates for their own healthcare. By providing comprehensive eye exams for adults and children including contact lens evaluations. By providing medical urgent care visits for ‘pink/red’ eyes, foreign bodies in the eye or sudden loss or changes in vision (including flashes and floaters). By diagnosing and treating ocular surface diseases including blepharitis, ocular rosacea, meibomian gland dysfunction and inflammatory dry eye disease By providing diabetic eye exams and managing other ocular diseases including glaucoma and cataracts. Dr. Johnson, a graduate of the University of Houston, is highly recognized and internationally known for his expertise in the contact lens treatment of corneal irregularities and disease. Dr. Johnson’s private practice in Dallas, Texas has a patient base consisting of individuals from the entire state of Texas, nationally, and internationally. He specializes in caring for Keratoconus and for patients with specialty contact lenses following surgeries such as Lasik and corneal transplants. Dr. Johnson has extensive experience with state-of-the-art specialty contact lens technologies for the treatment of difficult corneal problems. He also provides eye consultations and treatment in addition to pre and post operative patient care. Dr. Johnson is board certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease, and has had an extensive career in both patient care and academia. Licensed in Texas since 1983, he also pursued graduate studies and attained a Master of Science degree in Physiological Optics and Vision Science from the University of Houston. His practice emphasis is in the area of therapeutic and cosmetic applications of contact lenses to both healthy and diseased corneas. Those patients requiring routine eye care are serviced as well. Before his arrival in Dallas, he was Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Houston and a Researcher at Houston’s Institute for Cornea and Contact Lens Research. After settling in Dallas in 1985, he served as Adjunct Professor at the University of Houston and remained a Researcher at Houston’s Institute for Cornea and Contact Lens Research until 1990. In addition to being in private practice, he is presently also a consultant and clinical investigator to contact lens and pharmaceutical manufacturers. Dr. Johnson has lectured extensively throughout the United States on a variety of corneal and contact lens topics and has also authored many articles for the professional press. Dr. Johnson is a member of many professional organizations, such as the American Association for the Advancement of Science, American Public Health Association-Vision Care Section, and Contact Lens Section of the AOA. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, a member of Sigma XI—The Scientific Research Society, and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. His numerous civic functions have included being on the Board of Directors of a local Dallas school and serving on the Associate Board of Directors of a local bank.

Dr. Sophia Johnson is a medical optometrist who earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Spanish from The College of New Jersey. She went on to receive both her Master of Science in Vision Science and Doctor of Optometry degrees from the SUNY College of Optometry in New York. Dr. Johnson provides comprehensive eye exams for children and adults and is highly trained in the diagnosis and management of ocular disease, dry eye, diabetic eye exams, glaucoma evaluations, contact lens fittings, and pre- and post-operative care for cataract and refractive surgery patients. She is also experienced in managing red eyes, eye infections, foreign body removal, and urgent eye care visits. With a special interest in digital eye strain and ocular surface disease, Dr. Johnson’s research for which she is a published first author with the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO), has focused on how taking breaks during screen use can improve symptoms and support long-term visual comfort. Her commitment to the field extends into professional leadership; she currently serves as the Co-Student Director for the National Optometric Association and is a Board Member for the SUNY College of Optometry Alumni Association. Dr. Johnson has been recognized for her leadership and academic excellence as a two-time recipient of the Marvin R. Poston Leadership Award and SUNY Scholarship award. Outside of the office, she enjoys serving her local church , mentoring young adults, traveling, watching sci-fi shows and movies, and spending quality time with friends and family.

The reason I became an optometrist is: Always fascinated with the equipment at the eye doctor growing up. My favorite part of helping my patients is: giving them the best vision possible to they can live their best lives. In my spare time, I enjoy: Running in the parks; splaying sports with my kids.

I grew up in Sunny Miami, Florida. I have always wanted to become an eye doctor (optometrist). This was due to an eye condition I have; I was diagnosed with Diplopia (double vision). My Family Optometrist made this diagnosis. I was amazed and impressed that my condition could be fixed with prism lenses “immediately”. I went from barely passing in school to straight A’s after my eyeglasses were ready. I went to undergraduate College at Pfeiffer University in Misenheimer, North Carolina, just outside Charlotte, North Carolina. I went to Pfeiffer University on an academic and wrestling scholarship. I graduated with honors, Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in biology/Pre-Optometry in 1977. Then, I applied to and got accepted to Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee In 1979. I graduated with honors with the Doctor of Optometry degree (OD) in 1983. I was presented with the prestigious Feinbloom Low Vision Award at Graduation. Externships include General Practice & Clinical Practice at the Memphis Health Center, a Multidisciplinary Clinic. I had a successful Private Practice combined with a Nursing Home practice in South Florida for 42 years. I was also an Adjunct Clinical Professor at Nova Southeastern College of Optometry in Davie, Florida, from 1995 to 2001. I am a Member of the AOA and the South Carolina Optometric Association. I was appointed chairman of the Florida Optometric Association Nursing Home and Hospital practice committee from 1989 through 1991. I was also the President of the Florida Optometric Association from 1991 to 1992. In December 2023, I decided to sell my private practice of Optometry in South Florida and move to Waxhaw, North Carolina, where my pregnant daughter and son-in-law reside. I decided to semi-retire and chose to work part-time at MyEyeDr. In my spare time, I like to travel, be with family, grandchildren, friends, garden, watch sports, drive sports cars, visit restaurants, go to plays, and watch movies.

Dr. Amy Jones is a caring, residency-trained optometrist passionate about providing high quality eye care to patients here in Austin, Texas.  Dr. Jones was born and raised in Southern California, where she attended UCLA for undergrad and studied Biology. Both of her parents worked in healthcare, and she was always interested in a career where she could help people. After working as a technician at her family friend's pediatric and vision therapy optometry office, she decided optometry would be the perfect fit. Dr. Jones could get to know patients personally while solving their vision problems. She went on to receive her Doctorate of Optometry from Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University in 2020.  After graduation, Dr. Jones moved across the country to Boston, Massachusetts, where she completed a residency in Ocular Disease and Primary Care at the Boston Veterans Affairs Healthcare System and later worked at a boutique practice in the Greater Boston area.  The search for sunnier weather and better tacos led Dr. Jones and her partner, Jeremy, to Central Texas. She feels fortunate to now call Texas home and to be providing great eye care to the wonderful families in Austin.  Outside of work, Dr. Jones enjoys exploring new restaurants and taking in the beautiful scenery of Texas Hill Country on weekends.

Dr. Darcy Jones has been a dedicated optometrist at Clasik Vision Care since January 2019. With a rich background in primary eye care, Dr. Jones is deeply committed to providing personalized, patient-first care. She earned her Doctorate of Optometry from Northeastern State University College of Optometry in Oklahoma, where she also completed her undergraduate studies in biology and vision science. Before joining Clasik Vision, Dr. Jones worked at Phoenix Indian Medical Center for 2 years and for Gila River Health Care in Sacaton, Arizona for 13 years and was the Director of the Optometry Department for the past six years. She honed her expertise at these locations by providing primary eyecare, providing Lasik and cataract post-operative care, treating ocular infections, treating ocular allergies, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and removing foreign bodies from the eyes. Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Jones is a past Arizona State Board of Optometry member, serving as vice president for two years. She is also currently involved with the Arizona Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. She volunteers time at the Mission of Mercy eye clinic. Dr. Jones and her dog Lily also volunteer with Gabriel's Angels and work with elementary school youth. Dr. Jones has been a resident of Arizona since 2005 moving from Oklahoma. When not at the office, Dr. Jones enjoys reading and spending time with her family, reflecting the same care and dedication she brings to her practice.

Dr. Justin D. Jones founded Premier Eyecare in 2009 and has been the primary Doctor on-site for the past 10+ years.  He received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and in Vision Science at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He received his Doctorate of Optometry degree with Honors from Northeastern State University College of Optometry.   Dr. Jones has expertise in providing primary eyecare, providing LASIK and cataract post-operative care, treating ocular infections, treating ocular allergies, managing keratoconus, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, eye infections and removing foreign bodies from the eyes.  Dr. Jones is certified for the use of CRT lenses and is also one of the few optometrists that are certified to design and dispense WAVE ortho-k lenses.   Dr. Jones is the past President of the Arizona Optometric Association. Dr. Jones is also active in the Contact Lens and Cornea Section, American Optometric Association, Central Arizona Optometric Society, and American Optometric Association Political Action Committee. Dr. Jones has been a resident of Arizona since 2005 moving from Oklahoma.  Dr. Jones is married to Darcy, who is also a Doctor of Optometry at Premier Eyecare since January 2019 and they have two kids, Jaxson and Alaina. He enjoys golfing, riding his motorcycle and RZR and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Jordan received her Bachelor’s degree from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston in Houston, Texas. Dr. Jordan completed her residency at Omni Eye Specialists in Denver, Colorado, specializing in Ocular Disease, Surgical Co-management, and Acute Care. She then completed a fellowship in Refractive Surgery at Colorado Laser Surgeons in Denver, specializing in surgical candidacy and post-operative management. She has given numerous lectures to optometrists on ocular disease, surgical co-management, and systemic conditions with ocular findings. She has previously been an adjunct professor at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon, and the University of Houston. Dr. Jordan is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Colorado Optometric Association. Dr. Jordan is fluent in Spanish.

Dr. Julia Jose completed her bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at the University of South Florida. Her Optometry degree was completed in Nova Southeastern University, where she also earned a second bachelor’s degree in Vision Sciences. She completed specialty training in diabetic eye exams and ocular disease. Dr. Jose always had a passion for this field, but her passion grew further after she went on a mission trip to Nicaragua during the end of her second year of optometry school. During this eye-opening trip, she helped provide eye care to over 1,000 underserved people of Nicaragua. Dr. Jose is compassionate with her patients, thorough, and most of all personable, which is the biggest compliment she gets. She treats everyone on her chair like they are her friend or family. Dr. Jose moved to Dallas, TX from sunny Florida at the beginning of 2022 after getting married to her husband who is a Dallas native. In her spare time, Dr. Jose likes to spend time with her family and friends, travel, and find new things to do in Dallas.
