Dr. Stephanie Hilde is a doctor at Arizona Primary Eye Care and strives to provide high quality, evidence-based, and compassionate eye care. She was born and raised in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Dr. Hilde then went on to complete her bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in biochemistry from the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. While in college, she met her husband, Casey. They enjoy walking their dog, biking and hiking together. Dr. Hilde then moved to Phoenix, Arizona to continue her optometric education at Midwestern University Arizona College of Optometry. Dr. Hilde joined Arizona Primary Eye Care in September of 2019 after completing her degree from Midwestern University where she was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society and helped train other students as a teaching assistant. Dr. Hilde attended externships where her training focused on cataract and refractive surgery co-management, diabetic co-management, vision therapy, pediatrics, and specialty contact lenses. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Arizona Optometric Association, the Southern Arizona Optometric Society, and the Scleral Lens Education Society. Dr. Hilde’s professional interests include specialty contact lenses, keratoconus, diabetic co-management, cataract surgery co-management, pediatric eye exams, and treating eye infections.

Dr. Hilversum’s interest in eyes started when she was a child listening to stories on how her great grandmother lost her sight due to glaucoma. As the years went by and more family members developed this condition her fascination grew. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in chemistry and an AA degree in Opticianry, she worked as an optician for a few years before going back to school. In 1995, she received her doctorate degree in optometry from Nova Southern University. Afterwards, she did a residency in primary care optometry at the VA in Brockton and Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Hilversum had her own practice in Panama City, FL, and also in Suriname, South America. She likes to help people see better and enjoys her work. She speaks several languages including English, Dutch, Spanish and Sranan Tongo (a dialect spoken in Suriname). In her spare time, she likes spending time with her husband and to do word puzzles, Sudoku and exercise.

Dr. Paige Hoff grew up in Fargo, North Dakota and received her Bachelor of Biology degree from North Dakota State University. She then attended graduate school at Midwestern University – Arizona College of Optometry here in Phoenix. During her clinical rotations, she furthered her training in primary care, pediatrics, vision therapy and retinal disease.    While growing up in Fargo with her five younger siblings, she enjoyed being her two brothers’ number 1 fan at all their numerous hockey games as well as binge watching bad reality tv with her mom.  She also had the opportunity to travel across Spain and Italy after graduating from Optometry school before beginning work. Outside of the office she enjoys trying new restaurants, traveling, and hanging out with friends.

Dr. Charles Hollander graduated with honors in 1980 from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. . He is a fellow in the American Academy of Optometry and is certified by the New York State Optometric Association to provide low vision services. Dr. Hollander is licensed in the therapeutic treatment of glaucoma, external eye diseases, and oral therapeutic medications in the State of New York. Dr. Hollander held the title for 15 years as an associate and clinical instructor in the Department of Ophthalmology at New York Hospital-Cornell Medical School. He has devoted his career to working with children and adults who are visually impaired and difficult and unusual contact lens cases. He was an adjunct professor at Columbia University Teachers College where he instructed teachers who were receiving their master’s degree in teaching children who are visually impaired. Currently he is the Optometric consultant at the New York Institute for Special Education He has lectured extensively in low vision rehabilitation and co-authored a chapter in the textbook “The Essentials of Low Vision Care”. He currently resides in New York City with his wife of 44 years. He has 3 children and loves to spend time with his grandchildren.
