Dr. Margaret Harrington’s passion for eye care began at age 10, when her grandfather lost much of his vision to diabetic retinopathy. By 16, she was working in an optometrist’s office, beginning a lifelong career dedicated to helping people protect their vision and see their best. Throughout her career, Dr. Harrington has served as a private practice owner, VA optometrist, educator, and healthcare leader. She has developed programs in telehealth, clinical education, and residency training and is passionate about developing doctors and creating exceptional patient experiences. Her approach to care is simple: listen, educate, build trust, and make every patient feel genuinely cared for. Outside of work, Dr. Harrington enjoys spending time with her three children and their Goldendoodle, Salty Dawg. She loves the beach, boating, golf, photography, and reading—and rarely turns down a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup.
