What drives your passion for optometry? Helping others to see their best and providing support for people with visual needs. How are you helping patients live their best lives? By providing personalized eye exams in a comfortable environment. What does providing a transformational eyecare experience mean to you? Providing a transformational eyecare experience means addressing all the patient’s needs, visually and medically, and have them leave knowing their best interests were addressed during their visit. How are you impacting your local community? I enjoy volunteering at food banks and charity work for our local schools. Hobbies/Interests: Walking, hiking, spending time with my children and pets.

Dr. Evans graduated Magna Cum Laude from Houghton College with a B.S. in Psychology and Writing. She was accepted to a Master's Program at UCONN but decided to switch fields. She obtained her Doctorate of Optometry degree from S.U.N.Y College of Optometry in 1995 with externships at Westpoint Military Academy and Castle Point V.A. Hospital. She was awarded the Frederick W. Brock Memorial Award for Outstanding Clinical Performance in Vision Therapy and the therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents Advanced Practice Certificate in 2002. With a special interest in nutrition and other healthy lifestyle practices for the eyes and body, she is delighted to bring her knowledge and experience to the patients at MyEyeDr. “I want to help your eyes see and feel great, so you can do all the things you need and love to do. By bringing ocular and visual health awareness to local schools and supporting local animal shelters and rescues. Dr. Ewers is originally from Portland, Indiana. Her early interest in optometry led to two Associate of Science degrees in Optometric Technology and Opticianry at Indiana University. She continued on and received her Bachelor's degree at Indiana University, Bloomington and earned her Doctorate of Optometry from the prestigious IU School of Optometry in 1995. While enrolled as a graduate student she was an Assistant Instructor for three years and Assistant Supervisor of interns and technicians in the Atwater Clinic Dispensary. Dr. Ewers was awarded Member of the Year by Alpha Phi Omega. Dr. Ewers has over 15 years in practice and 22 years in the optical field. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, Indiana Optometric Association, Central Indiana Optometric Society and Sports Vision Section of the AOA. Her professional interests include medical optometric care, contact lenses and sports vision training.

Dr. Jennifer Faber is originally from Auburn, Indiana. She attended Purdue University for herr Bachelor of Science degree in biological sciences. She then received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. During her internship year, Dr. Faber partook in extended ophthalmology training at two distinguished practices- Eye Associates of Southern Indiana and Eye Surgeons of Indiana. Dr. Faber quotes, “Being active, outdoors lovers that my family and I are, we were ecstatic about moving to not only North Carolina, but Asheville! We have always wanted to settle down in this area of the state.” Dr. Faber lives with her husband Ryan along with their two small children, Brinley and Hudson. She also adds, “In my free time, I love to be with family and friends, go camping or to the beach, go hiking, enjoy live music, or attend sporting events.”

Undergraduate Education: Miami-Dade College with honors and a degree in Vision Care Technology. Optometry School: Nova Southeastern University.

Undergraduate Education: Texas Tech University. Optometry School: University of Houston College of Optometry. How are you impacting your local community or helping your patients live their best lives? By specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases routine vision and eye health care, contact lenses, and laser refractive surgery consultation. I am also an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Texas Optometric Association. And finally, I volunteer in multiple charity organizations including Relay for Life, Race for the Cure, and the American Diabetes Organization. Hobbies/Interests: Attending Texas Tech sporting events, water sports, skiing, traveling, and spending time with family.

Dr. Jenny Fan is a dedicated optometrist with a strong foundation in both clinical and academic optometry. She completed her undergraduate education in Optometry at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia, and went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston. Dr. Fan has a particular interest in specialty contact lenses, including orthokeratology (ortho-k), scleral lenses, and myopia control. She is passionate about providing tailored vision solutions for patients with complex needs and helping to manage progressive myopia in children and young adults. She is also experienced in managing a variety of ocular conditions such as glaucoma, diabetic eye exams, and other chronic eye diseases. Outside of her professional life, Dr. Fan enjoys expressing her creativity through pottery and unwinding with a good drama series.

Dr. William Fan is a dedicated optometrist and a proud graduate of the New England College of Optometry. With a deep passion for vision care and ocular health, Dr. Fan has earned the prestigious Diplomate status from the American Board of Optometry, demonstrating his commitment to excellence in patient care and professional development. Dr. Fan brings a wealth of expertise in diagnosing and managing a wide range of eye conditions, ensuring personalized and compassionate care for every patient. Whether conducting comprehensive eye exams, prescribing corrective lenses, or offering advanced treatment solutions, he is dedicated to improving vision and enhancing quality of life. His approach blends the latest clinical advancements with a patient-centered philosophy, making eye health accessible and effective. Outside of his practice, Dr. Fan stays at the forefront of the field through continued education and active involvement in professional organizations. His mission is to provide exceptional optometric care while fostering lasting relationships with his patients and community.

Dr. Fardink received a degree in chemistry from Princeton University and then graduated from The Ohio State University College of Optometry. Dr. Fardink focuses on specialty contacts, including scleral lenses and corneal (rigid) gas permeable lenses. He completed an advanced rotation with honors at the Case Western Reserve University Department of Ophthalmology, where he fit specialty contact lenses onto cornea transplant patients. He also completed an ocular disease rotation at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center, where he treated glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and other ocular disorders. While an optometry student, Dr. Fardink co-founded OSU’s Contact Lens Advancement Society, of which he was also president, and served as vice president of OSU’s Private Practice Club. He is a former volunteer EMT and lead guitar player for The Band Keratopathy (an all optometry rock band). He lives with his wife, Christina, and their son, Emmett.

Undergraduate Education: Ferris State University. Optometry School: Michigan College of Optometry. How are you helping patients live their best lives? I enjoy the aspect of getting to know my patients’ visual needs and then offering them solutions in eyewear options and ocular health management. Hobbies/Interests: When I am not working, I am usually at an ice arena or baseball field watching our sons play sports.

Dr. Fatima graduated with Magna Cum Laude from Benedictine University with Bachelors’ in Health Sciences. She then completed a Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree with the Tomb & Key Honors Society and Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society awards. Dr. Fatima became an eye doctor as she always wanted to be a healthcare professional as a child. Being a Doctor of Optometry allows her to be an essential part of her patients' healthcare team, making sure that they see better and have optimal health! Besides primary eye care, she enjoys myopia control/management, specialty contact lenses, treating eye diseases, and preventing glaucoma, among other conditions. When Dr. Fatima is not in the office, she enjoys reading, traveling, swimming, and spending quality time with friends and family.

Undergraduate Education: St. Vincent College. Optometry School: Pennsylvania College of Optometry. How are you helping your patients live their best lives? I’d like all my patients to leave the office with a pleasant experience and any eye problems solved! Hobbies/Interests: Any type of exercising and spending time with family.

Dr. Fazzary is from Watkins Glen, a small town in Upstate NY. She has made Charleston her home since 2016. She loves the low country for the beautiful beaches and variety of delicious food/restaurants. Dr. Fazzary attended Cornell University for undergraduate education, and graduated in three years. She graduated from the SUNY State College of Optometry in 2009, and was inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society for excellence in optometric education. Dr. Fazzary is also a past president of the local Coastal Carolina Optometric Society. Hobbies include having fun with her two dogs and going to live music events.

My goal is to help patients achieve their best possible vision to improve their quality of life. Hobbies/Interests: Hiking, cooking, reading, and traveling

Dr. Feifke earned his first Optometry degree from the Witwatersrand Technicon in Johannesburg, South Africa. After teaching and practicing in South Africa for seven years, he emigrated to the US where he completed the Doctor of Optometry Program at the New England College of Optometry in Boston. Dr. Feifke believes in giving back and has been actively involved with VOSH (Volunteer Optometric Service to Humanity), both as a fundraiser and active participant in numerous missions to Nicaragua, Guatemala and the Dominican Republic. Dr. Feifke is past president of the New England chapter of VOSH. Dr. Feifke is a diplomate of the American Board of Optometry, as well as a member of both the American Optometric Association and the Massachusetts Society of Optometrists. In his spare time, Dr. Feifke is passionate about keeping fit and has run seven Boston Marathons. Due to a running injury, he has taken to bike riding and takes part in many biking events in New England and afar. His hobbies include gardening, playing chess with his sons and making that perfect espresso!
