Undergraduate Education: Berry College (Rome, GA) BS biology minor in chemistry. Optometry School: University of Alabama at Birmingham 2009. Professional Achievements and Associations: American optometric association; Georgia optometric association. The reason I became an optometrist is: I decided on optometry at an early age in high school. I enjoyed science and got glasses/contacts at that time which sparked my own interest. I was taking a careers elective in high school and was able to shadow a local optometrist for the day. I was hooked from then on. I enjoyed the interaction with people plus the joy it brings people to see their very best for sometimes the first time. My favorite part of helping my patients is: Seeing them back year after year and the relationship that is built over time. I have seen children grow up and new additions to families and giving them their best sight brings a lot of joy for me. In my spare time, I enjoy: I have two daughters ,8 and 6, and we enjoy time together bike riding, hiking, and swimming. I also enjoy quality time with my family and close friends.

Challenges in helping patients achieve good vision and treating ocular pathology. How are you helping patients live their best lives? Achieving good vision with difficult cases such as keratoconus. What does providing a transformational eyecare experience mean to you? I love being a part of taking a patient with a dense cataract to clear vision and very little spectacle rx needed. How are you impacting your local community? The patients here know me and appreciate what we do here in eye care. Hobbies/Interests: Golf, Flying, and, Hiking.

The reason I became an optometrist is: I find practicing Optometry to be both challenging and personally fulfilling when I can use my knowledge in math, physics, and medicine to help my patients achieve their best vision and maintain optimum eye health. My favorite part of helping my patients is: My favorite part of helping my patients is working with my team at Myeyedr. From the friendly greeting at the front desk check-in, to the excellent and competent data collection by the technician, to my part in analyzing the data collected to make sure the patient maintains their optimum eye health and listening to each patient's vision needs so that I can refract them to their best vision, to our very knowledgeable eyewear consultant who takes my refraction and recommendations and finds the best eyewear solution for each particular patient, we all work together to help each patient in seeing and looking their best! In my spare time, I enjoy: Reading, Music, Walking, Bicycling, Traveling.

Dr. Clay Crain graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry. Prior to pursuing optometry, he earned a Bachelor of Science and Arts in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Crain strives to help patients of all ages achieve their optimal vision by focusing on each individual patient's needs. He credits positive childhood memories of visits to the optometrist and a want to help others have similar positive experiences as his motivation for becoming an optometrist. Outside of his practice Dr. Crain enjoys spending time reading, playing video games, and watching movies/TV.

Undergraduate Education: Southern Methodist University. Optometry School: Southern College of Optometry. How are you impacting your local community or helping your patients live their best lives? I believe every patient deserves the best possible eyecare and I strive to give each and every patient a personalized approach to help solve the daily problems they face. Hobbies/Interests: reading, arts and crafts, and spending time with family.

Dr. Crawford was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas at Tyler. He is a proud graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where he served as a Vice president and member of the National Optometric Student Association. Dr. Crawford strives to create a welcoming environment for all patients while delivering high-quality ocular healthcare. His hobbies include watching and playing soccer and basketball, hanging out with friends, and spending quality time with his family.

Dr. Crider is a dedicated optometrist who believes great eye care starts with listening and building trust. He earned his undergraduate degree in History from Butler University before completing optometry school at the Indiana University School of Optometry. When he's not caring for patients, he prioritizes staying active and spending time with his family.

When looking for a career that allowed me to explore my interests and include a balanced family life, optometry was a great choice. I love seeing and "maturing" with my patients year after year. My favorite part of helping my patients is that moment when you get "that grin" on a kiddo as they truly see the world around them for the first time. In my spare time, I enjoy hanging out with my family and watching the Minnesota Vikings (the second part is enjoyable sometimes...).

Dr. Cruz earned her Bachelor's of Science degree in Biological Anthropology with a minor in Biochemistry from the University of California, Riverside. She went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Drexel University. Dr. Cruz was awarded Clinical Honors in both Primary Care and Pediatrics, which reflects her dedication to providing high-quality care to patients of all ages. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her young son & furbaby. She loves traveling whenever possible & unwinding with a good book. Dr. Cruz looks forward to caring for you and your family.

By providing comprehensive eye exams for adults and children, diabetic eye evaluation and management, contact lens fitting, ocular disease management, as well as cataract and refractive surgery management. I also provide ocular emergency care such as foreign body removals. Hobbies/Interests: Camping/hiking, reading, spending time with my husband and rescue pups.

Dr. Curbelo received her undergraduate education from MCPHS in Boston, MA She earned her bachelor’s degree in premedical and health studies with a minor in business. Dr. Curbelo attended MCPHS in Worcester, MA for Optometry school and graduated in the spring of 2025. Dr. Curbelo’s interests include spending time with her husband, reading, and watching hockey.

The reason I became an optometrist is: I really enjoy going to vision therapy as a child. When I was 7 years old, I would have problems seeing double after reading awhile. I was amazed after a few months of training, not only did my reading improved, but I was no longer getting headaches after reading for a long period of time. I knew when I became older that I wanted to be a doctor and help children and adults achieve their vision goals as well. My favorite part of helping my patients is: to explain things clearly so my patients can be part of their treatment plan. There are a lot of options in medicine today that we didn't have in the past. I want to make sure my patients understand the options, so we can select the best treatment for them. In my spare time, I enjoy: walking and biking with my husband and two kids. And this last year, e learning for school with my 3rd and 5th graders. It's been challenging and rewarding all at the same time.
