Undergraduate Education: University of Florida- Bachelors in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology, Go Gators! Optometry School: Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry and current resident at Southern College of Optometry with an emphasis in Pediatrics, Vision Therapy and Vision Rehabilitation. How are you impacting your local community or helping your patients live their best lives? When providing comprehensive eye exams for adults and children, I always given them all their options and introduce them to the newest technology in the field. I also treat all with equality and patience. Ultimately, I also hope to inspire children to become pediatric optometrists. Hobbies/Interests: Shopping, spending time with family and friends, watching movies and shows.

Undergraduate Education: IUPUI, Chemistry; Optometry School: Indiana University School of Optometry; Professional Achievements and Associations: Member of the IOA and AOA; Clinical Certifications and Specialities: Certified in prescribing MiSight contact lens to manage myopia in children, TLC affiliate in providing management of laser vision correction patients; The reason I became an optometrist is because I am one of those people that has to feel around like I am blind if I don't have my glasses on or contact lenses in. So needless to say, I was at the eye doctor regularly growing up. With being so reliant on the eye doctor, optometry was a field that naturally seemed like a good fit. My favorite part of helping my patients is being able to see clearly is crucial for experiencing life at its fullest. It is a blessing to deliver eye care to patients to ensure that they are able to live their best lives. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family, being outdoors, and relaxing.

Veurmer Clark is a native of Dallas and attended Ursuline Academy. She completed her education at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia and received her Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry. Dr. Clark has been practicing since 1988. She is a member of the Dallas County Optometric Society and is certified in the treatment of eye diseases and the management of glaucoma. Dr. Clark has two children and lives in the North Dallas area. She enjoys spending time with her family and sports activities with her children.

Undergraduate Education: Northeastern State University. Optometry School: Northeastern State University. How are you impacting your local community or helping your patients live their best lives? By incorporating the patient’s hobbies with their glasses or contact prescriptions. Someone who golfs frequently may need a little different prescription than someone who sews. Hobbies/Interests: Sports, staying active, video games, spending good time with good people.

The reason I became an optometrist is: During the first visit to my eye doctor’s office as a teenager, I was impressed by how quickly the optometrist was able to help clear my vision with lenses. This was a “WOW, I can see clearly now…” amazing experience. So amazing, that the value of clear eyesight spoke to me that day and led me to want to create that WOW experience for others. Therefore, I chose to become an optometrist. My favorite part of helping my patients is: The “that’s amazing” expression that lights up a patient face when they see better brings me joy. Seeing this expression daily is rewarding. These are the reasons I love being an optometrist because I get to improve the lives of people every day by helping them see. In my spare time, I enjoy: The performing arts, magic, bicycling, and travel.

COA, Worked 5 years as a traveling optometrist in remote villages of Alaska; Clinical Certifications and Specialities: Routine Patient Care, BLS, CPR; The reason I became an optometrist is because vision is one of the most important senses we have and the ability to make it better feels pretty great. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my dog and husband. My favorite part of helping my patients is making them see as best they can.

How are you impacting your local community or helping your patients live their best lives? Vision is our most important sense, and I love being able to play a part in helping to ensure my patients have a higher quality of life they can enjoy. Hobbies/Interests: Shopping, decorating, antique furniture and paintings, and spending time with her five cats.

Undergraduate Education: Coastal Carolina University. Optometry School: Southern College of Optometry. How are you impacting your local community or helping your patients live their best lives? By listening to my patient’s eyecare related concerns, educating them on solutions and offering them tools and guidance for achieving their best possible outcome. Often this involves routine checkups that investigate all aspects of eye health (such as diabetes, glaucoma, and macular degeneration) and vision needs (such as glasses and contacts) but in some situations this may include more advanced eye health-oriented evaluations and management. Hobbies/Interests: Music enthusiast with a history of writing and recording music, playing tennis, watching sci-fi movies and shows, enjoying good coffee, cooking, most of all... raising my young daughter the best I possibly can.

Dr. Coffey founded Coffey Eye Care in 1992 and expanded the practice notably until partnering with MyEyeDr in 2020. She resides in Quincy and is a Dorchester native who attended Msgr. Ryan Memorial High School. She is a proud member of OFD and is a history buff, and loves traveling. Besides maintaining her own practice, she previously held appointments as adjunct faculty at the New England College of Optometry and staff optometrist at the Mass. Eye and Ear Infirmary. She is a past president of the Massachusetts Society of Optometrists. She previously served on the Board of Trustees of the New England College of Optometry. Dr. Coffey sees patients of all ages with a special interest in contact lenses. She believes in patient education as a foundation to patient care (ask as many questions as you wish!). I love that I can manage eye disease and at the same time provide see patients happy with their new trendy eyewear! How are you helping patients live their best lives? My number one priority is to deliver exceptional service to my patients. I always want the patients to feel they can call on me for any concern they have with their eyes. What does providing a transformational eyecare experience mean to you? Having patients return year after year, because a level of trust and integrity has been built. How are you impacting your local community? By building fundamental relationships with patients , so they know they can receive the best care through me.

Dr. Jason W. Cole grew up in the small paper mill town of Evadale, TX. He graduated from Lamar University in 2002 with a degree in chemistry. He spent three years in the petrochemical field before he decided to pursue a career in Optometry. He then attended the University of Houston where he earned his Doctorate of Optometry in 2009 and immediately joined the TSO Midcounty group in Port Arthur, TX upon graduation. When asked about his work, Dr. Cole replies, "Optometry is such a great profession. I get to go to work every day and help people see. It's a pretty great job." Family is one of the highest priorities in his life and it shows in how he treats his patients.
