Undergraduate education: Western Illinois University. Optometry School: Illinois college of Optometry I have practiced Optometry in Carol Stream since 1997. I pride myself in treating my patients like family and offer the best comprehensive eyecare for the entire community. Outside of Optometry I enjoy time with my four adult children. I am an avid gardener with my focus on bonsai trees as well as flowers and vegetables.

My favorite part of help my patient is the ability to provide better health and vision to my patients. I find it especially meaningful when I can provide functional living vision to those suffering from visually impairing corneal conditions. Hobbies/Interests: Food, travel, and snowboarding!

Dr. Tanya Malhotra grew up in Toronto, Canada, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Waterloo. She then travelled to Philadelphia to attend the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University, during which time she was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society. Dr. Malhotra graduated magna cum laude as a Doctor of Optometry with clinical honors in neuro-ophthalmic disease and primary care, and went on to complete her ocular disease residency at Seidenberg Protzko Eye Associates in Maryland. During her residency, she presented at the American Academy of Optometry and also achieved Diplomate status from the American Board of Optometry. She worked in a privately owned Ophthalmology practice in Delaware for several years after residency, before relocating back to Maryland to join MyEyeDr. Her practice includes full-scope comprehensive eye care with an emphasis on ocular disease. Her areas of special interest include dry eye as well as emergency care. She enjoys cooking, traveling and spending time with her friends and family.

Clinical Certifications and Specialties: Fellow of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development; I specialize in Pediatric and Vision Therapy; Director of the Vision and Learning Center. The reason I became an optometrist is: I grew up with vision issues since childhood and knew since childhood that I wanted to help others that have vision challenges as well. I truly believe that vision is a most valuable sense and want to do what I can to teach people to optimize their visual system to improve performance in life. My favorite part of helping my patients is: Knowing that I have been able to make even a small difference in their quality of life. I love seeing patients through all stages of life and seeing families as they grow. I love the relationships I have developed with my patients over the years. In my spare time, I enjoy: I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, yoga, and walking and spending time in nature.

As an optometrist, my passion lies in helping patients enhance their vision and live their best lives. I work diligently to provide personalized solutions that improve each of my patients’ overall quality of life. During my clinical rotations which included Fort Knox Army Base and Green Bay VA Hospital, I found a passion for ocular disease and primary eye care. Hobbies/Interests: Golfing, working out, spending time with family/friends, traveling, and exploring new areas.

Dr. Angela Marcaccio is an optometrist practicing at MyEyeDr. in Houston, Texas. With a passion for eye care, Dr. Marcaccio ensures her patients have access to superior vision care, stylish frames, and the latest in contact lenses. Born and raised in Houston, Dr. Marcaccio followed in her father's footsteps, who was also an optometrist. She completed her optometry education at the University of Houston College of Optometry after earning her undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University. Dr. Marcaccio's deep appreciation for fashion makes it enjoyable to help her patients find eyewear that complements their personal style. She firmly believes that life's too short to wear ugly shoes or ugly glasses, and she is committed to ensuring her patients look good and feel confident in their eyewear. Dr. Marcaccio focuses on providing exceptional eye care services to patients of all ages. She particularly enjoys caring for senior patients at MyEyeDr., where she tackles the unique challenges associated with aging eyes. Her dedication to her profession is evident in her long-standing relationships with her father's second and third-generation patients, as well as her special affinity for middle-aged baby boomers in denial. Dr. Marcaccio is also fluent in Spanish, enabling her to connect with a broader range of patients and provide personalized care to diverse communities. Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. Marcaccio cherishes her family. She has been happily married for over 38 years and is the proud mother of a daughter who is embarking on her first year of vascular surgery residency at UTMB Galveston.

By creating personable relationships with my patients, performing comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fittings, and emergency eye exams, and managing various eye diseases such as dry eye, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy. Hobbies/Interests: playing basketball, traveling, and spending time with my wife Belma and daughter Aila.

I look at the entire spectrum of eye health- counseling, education, prevention, numerous treatment options, and quality service. How are you impacting your local community? I was born and raised in this community, and I LOVE serving my former teachers, neighbors, friends, and their families. Dr. Martin originally hails from Massachusetts and earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Hartford in 1993. He then earned his Doctorate of Optometry from The Ohio State University in 1998 and completed the residency in Low Vision Rehabilitation with a Masters in Physiological Optics in 2000. He is currently a member of the American Optometric and Ohio Optometric Associations. He enjoys all aspects of optometric care. He currently resides in the Dayton area and in his free time enjoys music, swimming, and greyhound adoption.

Undergraduate Education: UT - Chattanooga B.S. Optometry School: Southern College of Optometry – 2018. Professional Achievements and Associations: AOA, TAOP, NWTAOP. The reason I became an optometrist is: My father as an optometrist created my interest. It was an opportunity to help patients in a meaningful way that still allowed the chance to develop relationships through conversation vs a problem-focused health field. My favorite part of helping my patients is: The enjoyment and flexibility that new eyewear solutions can bring to a patient's daily activities. In my spare time, I enjoy: Spending time with my family, golf, and watching sports.

How are you impacting your local Community or helping your patients live their best lives? As an Optometrist, I strive to educate every patient thoroughly about their ocular and visual health for them to truly understand how imperative it is for them to have a yearly comprehensive eye exam. Hobbies/Interests: I love anything to do with being outside in the fresh air and the sun shining down on my face.
